I had an HTC Diamond that kept freezing so I decided to flash the new rom with same version but it stopped at 12% and went black screen(nothing)..after that I cannot power on the phone any more. I tried to get to boot mode but nothing happened...can anyone help and suggest what I need to do to fix this phone please?

If you cannot enter the bootloader mode, then the only solution is the service center... I'm afraid...

Ok first quetstion is, were you trying to install the offical ROM downloaded from HTC? If so, send your unit back to the service center & they should fix it for you.
On the other hand if you were trying to install a custom ROM (ie not offical) this might end up costing your money or they may refuse to fix the phone.
One question for you, if you were upgrading using a custom ROM (ie not offical), you would have been advised in the relevant topic to install a HARD SPL before attempting to flash, did you? If so what version, someone might be able to help you.

there is a possibility of your battery being dead - any idea? do you have a wall charger? do you have an extra battery? do you have a friend with a diamond?
try another battery, or charge this one... and then try to normal start... if doesn't work go to boot loader (hope you know how to) and if still it's completely dead... service center may be the only way out

Happened to me, I was upgrading to offical Indian rom from HTC. The phone went dead rebooting again and again just after the HTC logo appears. I took it to HTC service center, but of no help. I guess they are ediots. Then I took it to a local repair shop & they made it work in 15minutes only. So dont worry get it flashed from any local repair shop.

Confirmed, the version of the ROM you used is not for Diamond - it is for the HTC Touch. You will have bricked your device completely by doing this... New motherboard I'm afraid.

Hi,
I have just flashed my raphel to a new ROM. All went fine and the customisation screen of the new Rom was completed and touch flo screen installed. Then I removed the battery to insert SIM and the phone just wouldn't switch on.
I tried Hard Reset from off and the secreen with the colours came up and the warning that all data will be deleted. I pressed on the up volume and it started hard reset. When phone tried to rebute it remained dead.
Can anyone help please
