Contacts And Ringtones

This may be a silly question or simple fix, but is there a way to set ringtones up by catagory instead of assigning them all individually?
If a post or thread about this has already been made I apologize in advance. I was trying the search and didn't get far :(

also note, I have used a tone manager, but it doesn't seem to work, keeps telling me the cab can't be opened.
