Hi,
My microdrive, and the data on it, has been disappearing lately. I've used the onboard microdrive format tool, but I've read here in the forums that the program may not work properly (it may miss some sectors). Is it possible to do a regular (slow) FAT32 format from Windows? When I try to right-click on the drive in Windows I am not given the option to format.
Any ideas on the best way to format the microdrive? I am hoping that this will help the weird problems I'm seeing.
EDIT: solved. I found a thread with instructions on using WM5torage to format the microdrive from windows. It worked, and I'm going to test it out over the next week or so to see if it helps with the data loss problem. Here's the thread link:
