So true. I apologize for the download headache. I'm not sure what happened to the file hosted on MediaFire. It worked a while back when I needed it. I tried to download it yesterday, and I also found it to be corrupt.

Anyways, Chanvi93 is correct, and I missed your asking for 6.1. I just assumed I had read 6.0 Pro since it was the latest, and 6.1 was not made available.

I apologize. :o If you still want the 6.0 Pro, I will do my best to recover the file for you.

Agreed, many are MUCH better.

But it's always good to have the original on hand just in case of a failed flash. The OEM can return your phone to a usable handset again.

Hey Supersport,

What's the performance like on the official 6.0 available in your download files?

Is it worth me flashing and testing or does it come with a headache?

Mattster.

Mattster.

No headaches that I know of. It is a little heavy with unneeded software, but it's funnly you asked today. I just flashed it last night to clear a bad flash I had done. It was fun to see it running on my phone again.

Keep in mind, it does overwrite your Hard SPL, so you will need to do that again BEFORE flashing another ROM, it overwrites your boot screens, and it does overwrite your radio with 1.46.70.11. I've left that radio on for a while, and I seem to be getting quite fast GSP acquisition. Could be in my mind, but it does somehow seem different. Also, the OS moved quite swiftly compared to the latest ones I've been messing with. It's back to the OLD Home screen, but you will probably install SPBMS anyways.

If you flash it, and need Hard SPL help, I've got a small download that takes the hassle out of it. It's just Olipro 1.20 and SSPL_TRIN.exe in a zip file, but it's easy to use. It's possible that I MIGHT be able to CAB it up for you, but I have not tried that yet.

Good Luck!

Edit: Remember, the download is large, but it does include NEW IPL, SPL, Splash Screen 1 & Splash Screen 2, ExtROM, Radio ROM, and OS. So, the OS itself is really not taking up too much room. I'll post Free Mem and Space in a few minutes. I'm flashing now... ;)

39.89 Space
28.69 Mem

Hmmm.. sounds like I'll give it a go. :-)

Does it come with an inbuilt Task Manager? (If one has to install a task manager after the flash, it doesn't show up on Spb Shell screen.)

Also, after flashing it, I just execute the Rom Update Utility in your Olipro 1.20 file and that sorts out the Hard SPL for future flashes, yes?

Sorry, I had to run into town for a bit. You still have a 2GB or NON-SDHC card? If so, copy the RUU over and rename it to TRINIMG.nbh Then reset into Tri-color screen. Should work? Oh, actually, if it's already overwritten the SPL, then that won't work.

Turn off your PC, wait a few seconds, then turn back on. That should reset your USB Ports. Then set your phone into Tri-Screen Power/Camera/Reset and hook up your USB. White section of Tri-Color screen should now say USB? Now try flashing again, the OEM ROM. Other ROMs will NOT work, only the OEM at this point.

After you get the OEM back on, copy the Olipro files to your SD Card, )be sure the nbh file is names RUU_Signed.nbh), and run the SSPL_TRIN.exe from your running phone. Answer yes to the security question and follow the regular flashing instructions on the phone.

Let me know if you still have trouble.

My device is not syncing when I attach usb to pc.

The rom update does not get past 0%. My device screen goes blank, then says "loading", Then on my pc it says "Error 286 Update Error".

It gives me the option to run recovery, but doing that does not help.

Does it matter that my Active Sync is version 4.5?

Nope, does not matter, should be just fine. Have you tried to connect during Tri-Color Mode? I'm guessing that's what you are doing. Does the white box change from Serial to USB?

Yes, whit ebox says USB.
Red box says:

TRIN100
IPL-1.00

IN YELLOW: TRIN100
SPL-9.99.CP

Yes, I try ROM UPDATE as soon as I connect usb cable, but I fear that the pc is not picking up the device?

The ROM update seems to start (although no % is reached, then the phone screen goes off (as if in standby) then comes back with "loading...".

That's when the error message comes up.

Did you try powering down your computer and back up? I know it's a PIA, but I've had my USB Ports freeze until I reboot after a bad flash. Then try the OEM Flash again.

Another thing to try, although, I don't think it will fly is copying the HardSPL's RUU into a flash utility folder and see if that will flash.

Your SPL is the Stock one. You will want to change that right away. Copy the two files to your SD card and run the SSPLTrin.exe and follow the directions.

Your radio can be checked in Settings, System, Device Information.

Oops! I thought I attached them earlier... :o

Find the Zip file below. Unzip it and copy the two files SSPL-TRIN.exe and RUU_Signed.nbh to your SD Card. While in Windows on your phone, file Explore to the SSPL-TRIN.exe file and run it. That will start the Flashing in a special mode for adding the Hard SPL.

The HardSPL flash is very quick.

Actually, the special boot screen will do the flashing for you. Just press the power button when asked. After the flash says completed successfully, do a normal stylus reset.

Ok Mattster, you know a little about my health, so I hope you understand when I apologize now. It's been a perticularly long day for me.

I miss stated in my last few posts. The Olipro RUU needs to be named TRINIMG.nbh on the SD Card. Then when you run the SSPL-TRIN.exe from the SD Card, it will flash off SD for you. I'm REALLY SORRY... I probably should not post when I'm like this. As far as the OEM flash not working, I'm not sure what happened. I did it myself using the above instructions, and it worked fine for me.

Never fear if your phone seems bricked. I think about 95+ % of the time it will be recoverable.

Ok, well, I tried that and hit soft reset (without hitting the power button at any point).

Going back into it I now have on the red part of the boot screen TRIN100 IPL-SSPL by Des
and TRIN100 SPL-1.07.ds (in yellow).

Hasn't asked me to hit power button at all....

Also, when it's flashed Olipro correctly, you will see

TRIN100 In White
IPL-1.00 In White Might remain (DES)

TRIN100 In Yellow
SPL-1.20.Olipro In yellow

Also, be sure to remove the TRINIMG file from your SD after successful so you don't accidentially flash again when you go to Tri-Color Screen again.

Sorry it took a moment for response, the site stopped responding for a bit.

The DES you have on there is a Hard SPL and may be fine, but I've heard better success using Olipro 1.20
