4Talk, an application that allows you to use your phone as a short distance walkie talkie sounds interesting. Just wondering if anyone has ever used it or any other software like it?

It was useful, if a little short-range but I found that older PDA phones weren't able to handle full-duplex.
If your device has a good WiFi range and you're okay about it chewing through your batteries, it's useful.
If you want a walkie talkie, I'd still say get a walkie talkie. WiFi and BT just aren't good enough- and take up too much power.
At least how it seemed to me. But, still, well worth the cost.
