IMEI change after ROM flashing?

As title,
I realized tat IMEI of my pda phone changed after i flashed to other custom ROM..
Is there a way to prevent that? or change it back to the original 1?

Unless you have some very old PDA or a patched ROM, this should not have happened. Are you sure it did change? You can try to flash a stock ROM and see if you get your IMEI back...

The last two digits might change after flashing. These are the software version number (SVN).

I'm not sure which part of flashing changes this though.
