I780 charging with USB Cable

Can anyone tell me that how i can use the USB Cable to charge my I780.
Do i have to install any driver or patch in my phone

Set your USB mode to storage card or install the Samsung USB driver provided with the phone. Then it should be charged after plugging in.

With usb chargers for the power plug it won't work with the provided usb cable. What I did: I've bought an additional charger, cut off the cable and connected it with the plug of a spare usb cable. Now the phone also gets charged w/o a pc...
