Hello,
I am new to posting here, however I have been reading throughout the forums since I got my HTC PPC6800 in September through US Cellular. I have been through a few different custom roms and have never had any trouble. Then, yesterday after flashing to a winmo 6.5 rom, I lost the ability to connect to EVDO and I am stuck on 1x all the time. I switched back to Titan Reloaded v1.3.4 and still have the same issues. I also had changed my banner yesterday from CellSouth to US Cellular through QPST and I have since reloaded the file from when I read it with QPST before making changes.
Does anyone know of any issues that could cause this?
Thanks
Dave

Did you use Debug(fieldtrial) (dialer code ##33284 call button) mode and look in the HDR tab and make sure it says you are authenticated? If not then you have to Re-Authenticate. That is done is PST (##778 call button). Follow my Cricket PST settings thread, (only the Part about re-authenticating) and use your US cellular values. Let me know if I have helped.
Just whatever you do, do not Use CRICKET settings for the Carrier you are using which is US CELLULAR

Have you checked your EPST settings to make sure they are correct? You might try running the uscc carrier cab. EVDO will not connect unless the EPST Security/MIP Profile settings are correct.
These were the settings I had to change for my phone to connect to EVDO: http://sites.google.com/site/victorbush/htc-6800-1/epst-data-settings

Its under EPST, goto Security, under HDR Username and password it needs to be as follow.
Find your ESN (In hex first)
HDR Username should be ESN(IN HEX)@uscc.net
HDR Password should be your ESN(IN HEX)
i.e.
ESN = 3C123456
HDR Username 3C123456@uscc.net
HDR Password 3C123456
(The ESN must be in CAPS)
PPP Username and password are based on phone #
i.e.
phone# = 1234567890
PPP Username = 1234567890@uscc.net
PPP Password = 1234567890
This bit me and several other people when USCC first launched EVDO
Also, mine has been changed from just flashing the rom, so you may need to fix this more than once.
Just an FYI.

wow thanks for all the responses. in actually using your rom ryan. i love it but i often wondered what that debug program was for....lol im gonna try that asap. i thought just flashing it with your rom would "magically" work. everything else has. what is the us cellular stuff ur talkinh about? do the rest of those comments that all the other great people who responded carry any weight with ur rom? is it even a rom specific issue? my phone does recognize the evdo signal but will not function untill it drops back to 1x just to clarify my issue. sorry it took so long to respond. i have been attempting to cook my own rom and im working on a 2d fix that is not a plugin. thanks everyone for the response. i appreciate all the help!

I am only responding to what is in BOLD above. That issue sounds like you need to Un-Authenticate and Re-Authenticate. If you are using Cricket it explains how to do that in my Cricket PST settings thread.
I currently do not have a US cellular version of my ROM. This thread was created by the Member "kwineon" only to find out why his EVDO was not working on his ROM for US cellular. We helped him fix his problem and then you come along asking questions that do not even apply to MY ROMs OR This Thread (with the exception of your EVDO issue)
If you are going to experiment do it at your own risk... I have cooked 4 carrier specific rom's (Cricket, Sprint, Verizon, Metro PCS) thats it buddy..
