Hi all(be kind I am over 50 and a newbie)

I have been looking in these forums for some time while
I save up the cash for my S710.
Well I just got a Vodafone V1415 and I love it but I hate the vodafone
splash screens when you turn it on and there wall paper.

So I would like to flash my V1415 with a rom off here, my V1415 is not unlocked
and I understand by doing this it still wont be.

Could some kind person please put me right if what I need to do is wrong please.

1, I need to do what the guy says here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=330909

2, Then flash the chosen rom I was thinking of this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=414416

The kind gentelman says it is WM6.1?
would it have all the extras WM6.1 has over WM6.0?
if anyone thinks/advise me on a diffrent rom that would be nice

Thanks
deuse

PS thanks for a great site :)

EDIT= I have no storage card is this ok?

Hi.

I am also new to this kind of thing, but I'll try and explain it a bit better than it is there.....

Do a hard reset first, switch phone off, then while pressing and keeping pressed, the two soft keys (above 1+3 keys), switch on until promted, then press the green call key, and wait for it to finish.

1. Download and run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.zip from the computer, follow instructions until reboot.

2. Download Vox USPL- CID BYPASS.zip, once extracted run "uspl_116_jockyw", follow insructions, which is just pressing any key, until it asks if you want to run mitty or "RUU", and stop there.

3. You should have already downloaded WM6.1 CLEAN v1.4, and it is the "FLASH" program in that folder you need to run from the computer, follow instructions and you're done.

I've only just put the same on 5 mins, and wrote this while waiting for it to load.

Happy flashing!

Well after a few trys it worked :)

The first time I got a linux screen and it would not flash?
2nd time I let the uspl_116_jockyw run till the end by pressing Y
it went to a multi color screen and flashed :)

I am very pleased with the result
thanks.
