Hi,

Here is my last skins Pack :

http://pocketcm.com/img.php?f=phpiDLLHW3046.jpg

- 19 beautiful skins for PocketCM Keyboard 0.14 (don't work with PCMK v0.15 and above)
- 13 layouts (AZERTY, QWERTY, QWERTZ, ABC...) available in 2 formats (ANSI/UNICODE) for better fonts compatibility
- compatible QVGA (320x240), WQVGA (400x240), VGA (640x480) and WVGA (800x480)
- 9 dictionaries (English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish & Swedish)
- 2-in-1 : classic Keyboard + Enhanced PhonePAD
- Portrait + Landscape Modes (except for OMNIA : portrait only)
- 2 sizes : Small & BIG
- popup shortcuts (hold any key 1 second) : punctations on space, accentuation & CAPITALS on each letter, cut-copy-paste on enter, internet key, smileys key, Greek letters option (UNICODE only) and many others...

install the cab of your device's screen resolution :
- (W)QVGA for QVGA (320x240) or WQVGA (400x240) (Polaris, Omnia...)
- (W)VGA for VGA (640x480) or WVGA (800x480) (Diamond, Blackstone...)

INSTALLATION GUIDE :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=413076&stc=1&d=1286198503

1- download PCM Keyboard v0.14 (http://pocketcm.com/keyboard.php) + my Skins Pack + ERVIUS SIP Selector v3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375872&highlight=keyboard)

2- install CABs : PCM Keyboard 0.14, Skins Pack of your screen resolution and SIP Selector

3- IMPORTANT: deactivate "T9" in order to avoid htc compact keyboard bugs (not necessary if you never use htc compact keyboard).
By example for Diamond/HD : download Diamond/HD Tweak (http://www.montecristoff.com/), launch Diamond/HD Tweak and go to SIP configuration then choose "deactivate" T9, press ok and soft reset.

4- launch an application which requires the keyboard (note or Opera by ex), by default it is the stock keyboard that shows on, so press on the small arrow of keyboard selection (at the bottom) and choose “other input methods" then “PCM Keyboard”. At this time there is a messed up keyboard which appears (if you are no QVGA) but it is normal because PCMK is not configured yet so do not worry and quit.

5- go to Start>Settings>Keyboard and there “PCM keyboard” should be selected then click on “options” (if it refuses by prompting that it is not your default SIP keyboard then redo stage 4) and configure it like that :
- dictionary of your choice with "v11" tag
- a layout with "v11" tag
- a skin of your choice with "v11" tag.

6- In order to make PCM Keyboard as your default keyboard at windows startup : launch SIP Selector and choose “PCM Keyboard” from the list then press “ok”.

*** How to make your own layout ***

PCMK14 layout is very easy to edit : you can go on your Diamond into \program files\PCMKeyboard\ directory and search for your favorite layout (by example "QWERTY EN-US (ANSI) v11.layout") then drag & drop this file to your PC. Then open it with windows notepad and you should see lines like these :

keyboard_layout_1=\Xqwertyuiop\H\n\Casdfghjkl'\F\n \P\4zxcvbnm.[1^^]\T\n\2\2\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_2=\XQWERTYUIOP\H\n\CASDFGHJKL'\F\n \P\4ZXCVBNM.[1^^]\T\n\1\1\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_3=\X[31][32][33]€\H\n\C[34][35][36][1']\F\n\P[37][38][39][1^^]\T\n[20]\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_4=[2.com][2.fr][2.net][2.org][2.gov]\n[3@gmail.com][3@hotmail.com][3@yahoo.com]\n[3http://][3http://www.][3https://www.]\n\M\M[2www.][2wap.][2@]
symbol_pad=\M,()/[1\]<>\[]{}
symbol_pad=\4,[2@gmail][2@][2http://][2www.][2.com]
symbol_pad=^^,[1;)][1:O][1XD][1:P][1:@][1:'(][1:S][1:*][1 <3][1><]
symbol_pad= ,&-_?.,!:;[1...]
symbol_pad=',+±÷=|#°^~"
symbol_pad=€,[2Ą][2Ł][2$]
symbol_pad=\N,\E\E\T\T\X\X\C\C\P\P
symbol_pad=a,AĆć[2are][2about][2always]
symbol_pad=A,aćĆ
symbol_pad=b,[3because][2but]B[2been][2before]

keyboard_layout_1 is the first keyboard
keyboard_layout_2 is the keyboard when shift is selected/pressed
keyboard_layout_3 is the PhonePAD
keyboard_layout_4 is the internet page with some address shortcuts

So if you want a "Z" instead of "Q" : erase "Q" and type "Z"
If you want ".us" instead of ".fr" then erase ".fr" and type ".us"

Now the popup menu :
symbol_pad=b,[3because][2but]B[2been][2before]
If you want the word "beautiful" instead of "because" when you hold "b" : erase "because" and type "beautiful"

The number before "because" indicates to PCMK14 the key width : in that case the key is 3 boxes of width. For "but" the key is smaller with only 2 boxes. A line is composed by 10 Boxes that you distribute as you want. For the "b" popup line you can count : 3+2+1+2+2=10

As you can see it's very easy to make your own layout ^^

If you prefer this smiley ":-)" to this "^^" then just replace "^^" by ":-)"

After editing your layout, save it and copy it to \Program files\PCMKeyboard and do a soft reset. Now you'll have your own layout that nobody has ^^

Great looking skins but I'm having trouble getting it to work.

I have a QVGA device (HTC Vogue) and none of the skins will work even after following detailed instructions you provided.

I even removed other skins, reset the device after every selection but still not working.

Hopefully ... it's something simple.

Hi,

I found a bug into ini files in each (W)QVGA skin, it's fixed in the last v8.3 : retry, it should be ok now (I hope so...) and let me know please.

WOW !

THANKS, it was a hard work to configure layouts and skins as well !

Just a last request : I have posted all the VGA screenshots, so could you make a few QVGA screenshots (not all of course) to show that it works in QVGA for the other members please ?

And once again thanks Eiskrap !

I downloaded the QVGA skin pack, and it seems to be working, however, the period and earth keys aren't there unless I hit the 123 button. Was this by design in order to make it fit the QVGA screen, or am I missing something?

Other than that, great functionality!

Hi,

it's because you did not follow my install instructions : in PCMK Configuration page you must choose between "AZERTY", "QWERTY", "QWERTZ", "ABC" layouts and NOTHING ELSE !
So I imagine that you chose "English" layout and that's why you did not have the blue globe, the period and extra shortcuts.

Let me know if you manage to make it work

you say it will only work with version 0.14......what will happen if someone tries the 0.23 ??...

I think there are some improvements since 0.14.....will you adapt your skins to this version?....

Yes my skins pack works on Omnia : you must install (W)QVGA cab and follow exactly my install instructions. The point for you is to search for a cab to deactivate t9.

tell me if it works (it should) and if not send me screenshots please in order to help you,

Hi,

You must choose layout & skin with "V9.1" tags.
Could you tell me the model of your device ?

A few screenshots could also give me clues to help you...

I also must repeat that my skins pack works on PocketCM keyboard 0.14 only.
If you installed PCMK 0.2x then my skins & layouts won't appear into options menu.

uhmm, htc diamond (gsm) stock ROM 2.03

I installed 0.14 to main memory
installed your skin cab (install didn't ask where to install) (wvga one)
disabled t9 using diamond tweak
went into the menu where you can select layout and skins... nothing there...

installed a few times, went trough everything step by step... still nothing.

that's weird ...
So verify where PCMK is installed : internal mem or 4Gb internal storage.

no italian version?

Hi fabius88,

well you can use QWERTY layout. For the "QWERTY+" version in Italian : tell me the words shortcuts you want for each letter and I'll make it. Or simply edit with notepad++ the file "QWERTY+.layout" to remove/add shortcuts as your convenience.
For dictionary you can add yours. If you have a list of most frequent spoken 1000 words in Italian then you could post it here and I will include it in next release.

hi,

that's weird because I have quite the same config : Diamond GSM + Stock ROM 2.03 htc... it's normal for the first time you go into options menu neither layout nor keyboard are selected : the space boxes are blank but when you click on them then a full list appears...
Well, maybe there is a conflict with another app ??
My cab installs the skins directly to main memory.
Well, it appears that PCMK didn't find the skins so here are skins files & layouts : unzip twice the archive in attachment (zip>7z>files) and copy (by the hand with ActiveSync or total commander) all files where PCMK14 is installed into \program files\PCMKeyboard.
Another question : do you have memaid ? because this app can override internal mem copy to internal storage. So verify where PCMK is installed : internal mem or 4Gb internal storage.

:)

It's working! couldn't copy the files to my phone (was nagging that file's were broken or something)... emailed to my phone and copied them into the folder...tadaaaaaa! :D

thanks for your help! my keyboard looks awesome now :D

Ok, I've got a new phone now, and am attempting to install your skins again. The phone I'm trying to install on is a Samsung Omnia.

I've installed PCM 0.14 to my internal memory, deactivated T9, installed the skins to internal memory, have only chosen one of your layouts and one of your skins, and this is what I'm seeing when I try to access the kb. I've soft reset several times, but nothing seems to work to get this keyboard looking correct.

Below is a screenie of what the kb looks like now.

Hi gruvngyrl,

Well you did the right things to install it, could you confirm that you installed (W)QVGA cab ?

I remember that you previously made it work on another device, right ?

gruvngyrl
21st May 2009, 07:47 AM
Yep, I installed the WQVGA cab. I'm not sure what the issue could be.

If the T9 disabler didn't work properly, could that be it? Has anyone else with an Omnia had this happen, and did you find a workaround? I would LOVE to get PCM Keyboard with one of these skins working because it really is my favorite kb.

And yes RR33, you rememembered correctly! :) I had this installed on my old phone, a Daxian X999, that bricked one day for no known reason. :(

Edit: I just installed the test cab and that didn't work either. I'm so confused. It doesn't seem like other Omnia users have this much trouble. If it matters, I'm running the DXIA5 ROM, so it's pretty up to date.

To disable the T9, I downloaded a cab that's supposed to do it, but is there another way? I searched XDA, but didn't find anything specifically for the Omnia. Unless I just didn't look hard enough. :confused:

Well, this is my last OMNIA test3 : it's not a cab but a skin file so unzip and copy into \program files\PCMKeyboard and choose OMNIA TEST3 from skins list and cross your fingers...

edit: Don't worry about t9, you did it fine. The issue comes from my skin : I made it work on OMNIA months ago but I have forgotten the good gonfig to make it work again with my new skins...(I only have a Diamond to test skins)

I luv u 2 lol ! Many, many, many thanks for your help to make it fully working !
Could you make one screenshot of a v9.2 skin from your OMNIA please ?
Because some people say that PCMK doesn't work on OMNIA and it would be an evidence that it depends on the skin we use : with a compatible skin it works.

Absolutely! I did get one of the later versions of PCM to work on the Omnia, but I don't know how to customize those layouts, and none of the settings ever seemed to work properly. Now that there's a working skin for 0.14, everything is as it should be, and it's much easier to customize for people like me, who always like to tweak things so that they're "just so". Lol.

I'm attaching my custom layout too, just in case anyone wants it. I've put the comma to the left of the space bar, put the apostrophe as the long press on the comma, the question mark on the long press of the period, changed the order of the numbers on the numpad, and just generally switched around some of the long press functions so that it suits my use a little more. It's basically my version of the "Best of" layout that was posted here on XDA, but it seems to work well for me.

In order to use the custom layout, you'll need to change the .txt extension to .layout, and then copy it to your PCM directory.

Yeah, I had exactly the same problem with my Omnia! But with your OMNIAtest file, it works excellent. The only problem is, when I turn my Omnia, the keyboard looks like a mess! Is it possible, to solve this problem because I like to write with two fingers in the vertical way...

Last question: Are there in your package (after fix the bug) any other skins with a bit larger buttons than them in your test-file?

Thanks for the answers and sorry for my poor english!

Hi,

first install my last pack v9.2 (follow exactly the installation guide) that includes the fix for OMNIA. You must choose layout + skin with "v9.2" tags for higher compatibility.
It would be great for me if you could post a screenshot showing your issue.
Test each of the 16 skins with the different layouts : maybe you'll find a combination that suits you. ABC layout has large keys but it works only in portrait and not in landscape.

Oh, I hadn't even noticed it in landscape because I never use it that way. You're right, it does look like it's not set to quite fit on the screen.

Here's a screenshot:

http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/8146/screen002s.jpg

And actually, I was curious about the button height also. Hehe. I'm sure it's a ton of work, but it'd be amazing if they could be made a bit taller or even a bit wider (hard to do for the Omnia's resolution, I think, because it's already almost stretched to the max).

I guess I need to find a guide on how to get into skinning. Or is it possible to modify a skin file? I tried opening one in Notepad and all I got was a crazy page of garbage. :o

Edited to add: I tried it in landscape with your original layout files also, and it's still rendering the same result.

Hi,

thanks for the screenshot. You can open ".skin" files with winRAR : in fact, it is a ".zip" file renamed in ".skin". You'll see all the .png pics and the text .ini file.
I'll try to get a look into this landscape bug on OMNIA...

Little question: Which is the keyboard with the largest keys in your wqvga package?

Tnx!

Edit: Another question sorry =S Always when I have installed the PCM Keyboard 0.14 on my Omnia, I can't use the "Samsung Phonepad" as text keyboard anymore. The key to put in letters, is always "deactivated" the keys for put in numbers and special characters are though available. I've no clue why that happens. @ gruvngyrl do you ever have the same bug?

Thanks for the answers and have a nice weekend!

Hi,

don't be sorry for your good questions, it is a forum so ask for what you dunno and someone will answer you :)

Well, for now I have no idea to fix the landscape bug on OMNIA but I'm searching...

The larger keys skins are : Giannis86's blue and the iPhones like.
You can also try the ABC layout...

have a nice WE too :)

Hi, Tnx for the fast replies!

Sorry I'm not a pro with WinMob so I have to ask you if it's dangerous to edit the registry (should I make a backup before?) and where I can find the registry on my Omnia. Furthermore I tried the Gianni skin, but that's the only skin in your WQVA package who does not work on my Omnia (the problem is, I can't choose it in the keyboard-settings, it doesn't identificate the skin as a skin-file-.-). Is it possible to attach just this skin here in the board? Can't wait to try it ;)

Tnx

Ok, I have added in the first post 2 cabs in attachment from Ralfred (FNO Admin) : one to activate T9 and another one to deactivate T9. So, it will be easier for you to manage T9.

Hi :D

The Skin is working fine! Thanks!

But i deactivated the T9 with the cab, but the problem is not solved...after installations my Omnia shows: "It's possible that the installed programm isn't working fine, because it's made for an older windows-version!" (in my english words!) Hope gruvngyrl had the same problem and know the way to solve it ;) Thanks for support! I'll have a look in the board again tomorrow morning!

Gianni's skin seems to be working fine for me, except that PCM sometimes freezes up my Omnia when I'm testing and pushing the keyboard buttons while not in some kind of text entry program. I think I'm going to play around with the skin files a bit tonight and see what I can come up with, if anything.

I'm generally pretty incompetent when it comes to things like this, unless they're very basic. Changing up the layout, I can do. Skinning... not so sure. Lol.

Hi,

I have bad news... I asked to Tene (PCMKeyboard creator) a way to get trough the landscape bug on your OMNIA : he answered me that there is no solution, PCMK is buggy on OMNIA. He also told me that this is a reason why he abandoned this old version and he re-wrote the code totally.
The problem for me is that the last version 0.23 is buggy on my Diamond and I dunno skin it...
Perhaps PCMKeyboard 0.23 works better on OMNIA : you can try the nice Nottingham's skins here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3682326#post3682326
I also suggest you to take a look at another SIP like TouchPALv4 or FingerKeyboard2 by example...

:)

ps: it's normal that PCMK14 freezes your device if you try and change skins (more than 3 times for me) without doing a soft reset. Theoretically, you should do a soft reset after each skin changing.

Thanks for the info, RR. I've been using FingerKeyboard since discovering PCM wouldn't work properly on the Omnia, and have grown to like it quite a lot, but still wanted to have PCM as an option. For me, it's actually ok that it doesn't work in landscape because I rarely use the keyboard in anything but portrait, but I know it'll be an issue for some.

That said, thank you so much for all the work you put into these skins! Last night, I tried simply changing the height on the button images, resaving them with the same names in a different file name, changing the main values of the settings.ini file, and nothing seemed to work to make a taller keyboard. Not sure what I did wrong, but I do know that you did an amazing job that I can't. :D

Thanks,

I can make keys taller in height if you want but not in width. For now, each key is 31 pixels of height : How much pixels do you want ? 40, 50 ? I saw on your screenshot that OMNIA has much available space between text and keyboard.

I was trying to test out 35, but that's probably not enough, huh? Anything, in your expert opinion, that you think will fit within that extra bit of space, since it's a 240x400 screen. 40 sounds reasonable. An extra 9px is pretty substantial.

Are you just changing the image files? Or is there some kind of code that needs to be changed to coincide with the new images? I changed all the keys, and then modified the key_row_height to match the new key image height, but that didn't seem to work. What was I missing? Lol.

Well you did right : use an image editor like Gimp or Photoshop to resize key height to 40 pixels by example then edit with notepad the settings.ini file : change key_row_height=40 like this and to finish select all files, right click on selected files then left click on "make zip". At the end rename the zip file ".skin" and it's finished

That's so strange. I did all of that, aside from the fact that I used 7-zip to "add to archive", then renamed that .zip to .skin, and it refused to work for me, lol. I guess I just don't have the magic touch.

I just tried out the skin and it's SO GREAT! Is it possible to get the iPhone Like skin (just the plain one, I don't need fancy colors, even though I do like pink :P) with the 40px height?

This is so exciting! :D

Well, could you try the 50 pixels height too to tell me which of them you prefer... and make screenshots of both to see the difference please.
The Landscape is not working on OMNIA so I'll make a special skins pack OMNIA portrait ONLY with 40 or 50px of height : it depends on your choice :D

any hope for a compact qwerty in landscape?

RR33
27th May 2009, 09:16 AM
I tried to make a Compact keyboard, it was similar to the PhonePAD except that the PhonePAD has 3 letters per key whereas the Compact Keyboard has only 2 ; also it works by slide like the PhonePAD and not by pressing the key twice or 3 times like the other compact keyboards (it's a limitation due to the program code itself). And the keys are smaller than the PhonePAD... that's the reasons why I chose the PhonePAD instead of Compact QWERTY.

@PrinZH : no link for now but I'll post it today

@gruvngyrl : did you test the beta v10 that I PM you ? Can I add your custom QWERTY layout to the v10 ?

8. I get a keyboard but it looks very strange (only letters no buttons):confused:
9. I go the PCM Keyboard options and I find only small english and small french layout. Under Themes I can´t find v10 Big theme, only default, white, blue...

hi,

Well I read your install process and you did fine... At first launch PCMK keyboard is all messed up because not configured yet but you should see and could choose the skins & layouts with "v10" tags...
It seems that PCMK don't see the skins, so could you get a look into your program files\PCMKeyboard\ folder to verify if the skins & layouts are here ?

Well, it's normal that PCMK14 alone don't work on OMNIA : you must install and choose 1 of my skin to make it work (thanks to gruvngyrl, i configured the ini file into each skin to make it work) because the built-in skins by default inside the official PCMK14 cab work only for QVGA.

My skins don't work on 0.23 and I won't make skins for 0.23 because my diamond (or my rom ??) doesn't like it...

Well your comment interests me : the PhonePAD I made doesn't suit you ? Because, I tried to make a Compact keyboard, it was similar to the PhonePAD except that the PhonePAD has 3 letters per key whereas the Compact Keyboard has only 2 ; also it works by slide like the PhonePAD and not by pressing the key twice or 3 times like the other compact keyboards (it's a limitation due to the program code itself). hmm..I have yet to try the PhonePad option..is it layed out in a QWERTY format? if so I think that will be great..Im not a big fan of predictive input so I prefer the standard qwerty when it comes to a virtual keyboard but in portrait the keys are just too small..I'll play around with the different options later tonight.
Thanks!

hi,

well it's a phonePAD so neither QWERTY nor AZERTY... PhonePAD is a 10 numbers keyboard with letters in alphabetical order : press a key and you'll have a number, hold a key and you'll get a pop up menu with letters then slide to the desired letter and release the key to type it.

Yep, that's correct. Basically the only thing I like better about FingerKeyboard at this point is that feedback is built in and customizable, so that you can have vibration or not, sound or not, and you can adjust how much of each you want. Other than that, being able to customize a layout on PCM is insanely easier.

Hi,

those things never happened to me : I suppose that PCMK14 doesn't support your WM6.5 ROM ??
Well, I have just made the skins & layouts, that problem comes from the program itself and Tene (PocketCM creator) brings update for PCMK14 no more... So I have no fix for you sorry for that annoying issue :(
I suggest you to try other SIPs like : PCMK 0.23, FingerKeyboard2, TouchPAL...

edit : maybe your rom has "htcEXTfun" built-in, so what you described above happened while your stylus is out ?? In that case launch your SIP selector twice : when stylus is in & out.
Which SIP change do you use (ervius sip selector v3, A_C IM Selector, SIP Change) ? Try another app perhaps...

Hi,
thanks for the quick response. I forgot to mention it happens only in landscape mode. I like PCMK 0.23 but I love your skins...YOU ROCK!!!!

Hi,

well PCMK14 never freezes on my Diamond neither in portrait nor in landscape : if I had bug I wouldn't have spared time to skin that keyboard lol. So what is your device and the version of PCMK you use ?
Because v0.23 is not stable on my Diamond.
The only known bug with PCMK14 and my skins pack is a non landscape support for WQVGA devices (like OMNIA) but it works perfect in portrait.

Ok, it's weird because like I said I have never met this bug on my GSM Diamond. It's sure that this kind of bug is really a pain in the neck !!!
Did you try my v10 pack : Is your bug still there with my skins ?
If yes, maybe this bug is due to a software conflict between PCMK and a third app ??
Which rotation app do you use ? Personally I use manual screen rotation thanks to TF3D config.

So I recommend you to use other great SIPs like TouchPAL4 or Fingerkeyboard2

26th July 2009, 08:41 PM
Hi,

I resume :
- first install PCMKeyboard 0.14 on internal memory
- install my skins pack v11 (includes all skins + Layouts + dics)
- install Ervius SIP selector v3 (follow the link to Ervius's thread on XDA)

Launch Ervius SIP Selector (the language is in Italian but you don't need to learn Italian because there is only one box) then choose PCM Keyboard from the SIP list, click ok then do a soft reset.
Now WinMo should let you go into PCMK settings (I hope so)

If it still doesn't work : What is your ROM ? Did you manage to install another SIP like FingerKeyboard2 (personally I have both on my diamond : PCMK on internal mem & FK2 on internal storage)

Hi,

My ROM version is 2.03.871.4 WWE. i already did the following but when i select the PCM keyboard, it just shows the normal keyboard on my phone. when i went input keyboard to choose PCM keyboard and clicked options, it shows that it cannot be loaded again. i have installed the previous versions before and it worked perfectly well. wonder why i can't install the new version! :(

I suppose that you have a conflict with another app ...

Hi,

Well I have no Idea because I have tested on quite the same ROM (French) in 6.1 and with BsB65M.
i suggest you to uninstall all, do a soft reset, install PCMK14 then my skins pack VGA and try to select PCMK again.
I suppose that you surely have a conflict with another app but which ??

Ok i succeeded! :) ya deleting the past files do help. thanks alot! i still love the iphone metal pink! but now the buttons are placed different sides. so it takes time to get used to the new placement. but thanks! really very pretty! love it!

Hi,

glad to hear that !

You can use the previous layouts of my v10 or make your own layout if you want by simply editing with notepad the file of your choice with ".layout" extension

Hi,

glad to hear that !
I have tested with beta-testers on different roms & devices before posting to minimize the issues but there may be conflicts with specific roms or apps...

Yes i changed the layouts to separate the small keys and the large keys : by example for carbonDjoubUTO v2 with bubbles it's prettier like this with all bubbles in the same area and carbon keys at the bottom. For Diamond skin it's also nicer because small keys are fully transparent whereas large keys are not : we can see more the background wallpaper like that :

Hey what do you meant by editing with windows notepad the file of your choice with ".layout" extension? i'm a noob. i guess i just try to get used to it :D

hi Trish126,

PCMK14 layout is very easy to edit : you can go on your Diamond into \program files\PCMKeyboard\ directory and search for your favorite layout (by example "QWERTY EN-US (ANSI) v11.layout") then drag & drop this file to your PC. Then open it with windows notepad and you should see lines like these :

keyboard_layout_1=\Xqwertyuiop\H\n\Casdfghjkl'\F\n \P\4zxcvbnm.[1^^]\T\n\2\2\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_2=\XQWERTYUIOP\H\n\CASDFGHJKL'\F\n \P\4ZXCVBNM.[1^^]\T\n\1\1\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_3=\X[31][32][33]€\H\n\C[34][35][36][1']\F\n\P[37][38][39][1^^]\T\n[20]\M\M \N\N\B\B
keyboard_layout_4=[2.com][2.fr][2.net][2.org][2.gov]\n[3@gmail.com][3@hotmail.com][3@yahoo.com]\n[3http://][3http://www.][3https://www.]\n\M\M[2www.][2wap.][2@]
symbol_pad=\M,()/[1\]<>\[]{}
symbol_pad=\4,[2@gmail][2@][2http://][2www.][2.com]
symbol_pad=^^,[1;)][1:O][1XD][1:P][1:@][1:'(][1:S][1:*][1 <3][1><]
symbol_pad= ,&-_?.,!:;[1...]
symbol_pad=',+±÷=|#°^~"
symbol_pad=€,[2¥][2£][2$]
symbol_pad=\N,\E\E\T\T\X\X\C\C\P\P
symbol_pad=a,AÆæ[2are][2about][2always]
symbol_pad=A,aæÆ
symbol_pad=b,[3because][2but]B[2been][2before]

keyboard_layout_1 is the first keyboard
keyboard_layout_2 is the keyboard when shift is selected/pressed
keyboard_layout_3 is the PhonePAD
keyboard_layout_4 is the internet page with some address shortcuts

So if you want a "Z" instead of "Q" : erase "Q" and type "Z"
If you want ".us" instead of ".fr" then erase ".fr" and type ".us"

Now the popup menu :
symbol_pad=b,[3because][2but]B[2been][2before]
If you want the word "beautiful" instead of "because" when you hold "b" : erase "because" and type "beautiful"

Hi,

Sorry I don't understand what you mean ??
To have the keyboard in landscape mode you can install ChangeScreen which rotates screen thanks to G-Sensor.
Another solution is to activate manual screen rotation thanks to TF3D config then go into start>>settings>>buttons and set "screen rotation" to long press call hardkey by example.

Hi,
Unfortunately, PCM Keyboard 0.14 does not support directional keys :(
I suggest you to try FingerKeyboard2 (with my wonderful skins :D) if you really need arrows

this is kinda late, is it possible to add the options button back in when I press and hold enter or return button?

i'm using garmin M10 and i don't have the input settings anywhere in my device thus, it'd be easy if i can access the option via the keyboard

you can enable option menu into PCMK by opening your *.layout with notepad then :

either erase all this line
symbol_pad=\N,\E\E\T\T\X\X\C\C\P\P

or make these changes
symbol_pad=\N,\O\O\T\T\X\X\C\C\P\P
