Instructions:

1) Install sdkcerts.cab (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=175161&d=1239449901) Copy the *.tsk to your windows directory
2) Select the theme from Settings\Today

As you can see from the screenshots the top and bottom bars are transparent, i.e. you can see the wallpaper right up to the edges of the screen.

when you use these on WM6.1 the top and bottom taskbar go the same colour as the the colour used for the highlight (when you click on an item and it gets a different colour round it) and they are not transparent.

i just got the download of the skins, i have posted. the theme you are talking about can easily be achieved by using the Rock & Repibluk Black and a very black wallpaper.

I've uploaded all there was. There only custom files, the rest are the default graphics: "black_..." and "classicblue_..."

sorry, I am using kaiser and anryl latest rom rev5 build 21500...and it says install was unsuccessful because file isn’t signed with trusted certificate...it reports same error with every cab I found in this thread (thats extra graphic packed in cabs like Rock & Republic Black Graphics and so :)

its odd, i have a custom one for myself that isnt posted here and that works perfect, but i tryed the r&r black that you want and it failed.

I have found the problem. the dll that controls the colour for the home screen panel is for some reason not installing.

I have messaged the person who created the dll's because the custom cab i have created for myself contains the dll in question and it works perfect!

when i get home ill remove the dll from the cabs. but for now you can use the zip's (next to the cabs) they have no dll's and just the graphics files.

Ill fix the cabs, and hope that the creator of the dll's can fix them!!

Alright heres the theme. Its my first skin for anything so things might be abit rough. Do tell me if there are any problems and suggestions... might release an improved one. I use pointui home with sonnarui and the theme was sortof based on it.. so I used the same wallpaper.. thanks to the sonnarui guys.

Thanks to greatbal for his guide n initial develepment... the .tsk is based off greatbals ferrari tsk... couldnt understand how to set some of the colors as Im using theme gen ce and it gave me different values. I just copied them although they were different. Any idea on what program can get the right values?

The Sprint background has been removed as I am working on a Sprint theme called Going Out of Buisness. Version 3.0 of this theme is going to include Start Menu Icons.

How to install:

No soft-resets needed!
1. Uninstall previous versions of this theme. (I doubt you have it lol)
2. Go to Today settings and switch to the Classic Blue theme. Then disable the Windows Default plugin.
3. Install "JonNRb Gone CRAZY.cab".
4. Install "JonNRB bronzeres.cab".
5. Go back to Today settings and select JonNRb CRAZY yellow and the Windows Default plugin.
6. Hit OK and you are officially as CRAZY as I am .

Not really, I just got started messing with these last night so I'm not even sure how to build a .tsk file lol, I'm reading up on the threads so that I can take these to the next step. In the meantime, here's a sneak preview of my next theme "Pyro", Also I'll work on the black carbon version, I'm glad you guys like my work.

Eh... His theme is a bit more complicated than just renaming a CAB to a TSK. Because he customizes the Titanium, he'd have to make the installer and uninstaller into one package. I'm not sure that it's even possible that's why I was asking...

Grab a copy of PE Explorer and pop open the .dll, go to tools and show resources, has a ncie point and click interface for replacing the default .png's.

i posted this in the other theme thread. but, each theme(glass, blue black) i install causes the menus to go back to old style windows and also shrinks the spacing of folders in file explorer. except the pyro, blue carbon, and black carbon. which i assume its because they dont mess with the menus. i can switch back to the default themes and everything goes back to normal. but, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? sorry dont have screenshots as i got it back to normal as was scared to screw with it again:D

These Do NOT Work on WM6.1

:) You can use TSK in these Cabs for older WM OS.
Simply extract the TSK in these Cabs (with MSCEInf for example...).

Granted, but never the less, the fact remains that what i have posted is not compatible with WM6.1, and im not making them compatible as i have no intention of using WM6.1 again.

The Sprint background has been removed as I am working on a Sprint theme called Going Out of Buisness. Version 3.0 of this theme is going to include Start Menu Icons.

How to install:

No soft-resets needed!
1. Uninstall previous versions of this theme. (I doubt you have it lol)
2. Go to Today settings and switch to the Classic Blue theme. Then disable the Windows Default plugin.
3. Install "JonNRb Gone CRAZY.cab".
4. Install "JonNRB bronzeres.cab".
5. Go back to Today settings and select JonNRb CRAZY yellow and the Windows Default plugin.
6. Hit OK and you are officially as CRAZY as I am :D.

Grab the trial of PE Explorer from http://www.heaventools.com/ , once you open the dll go to the top menu > view > resources , you'll get the list of png's. you'll be able to right click on any of them and either export them or replace them with your own set.

You probably want a 21500 or higher build as builds of that class are RC builds.

Go to the dev thread and I have a tutorial posted. If you can't follow the tutorial, theme dev may be too difficult for you and you may just want to wait for Microsoft's theme compiler to come out...

For some odd reason, a unified TSK doesn't work on any device. It is really weird. How do you like the theme?

There goes another successful theme. Great job man. Question for you, I always include custom menu graphics on my themes but they don't seem to show up when I open the menues, do you have any clue why this is happening? images are being copied fine, the registry settings on the .theme have the correct paths to the png's but still no luck.

There goes another successful theme. Great job man. Question for you, I always include custom menu graphics on my themes but they don't seem to show up when I open the menues, do you have any clue why this is happening? images are being copied fine, the registry settings on the .theme have the correct paths to the png's but still no luck.

You might want to upgrade to 21500. But do menus work on other people's themes?

Yeah I want to but there are a few issues with the latest 21500 that's out for my SE Xperia. The odd thing is that the custom selection graphics do show, but the rest such as your second screenshot from left to right don't show. When I switch to the default themes, they do show so I know there's gotta be an error somewhere... :confused:

Hmm... :confused: If I were you, I'd look through the original themes for the answer.

Very slick looking. I like it.

One thing though... This theme changes the text in my HTC task manager (quickmenu) to black, which makes it unreadable, except when it's selected (see screen shot). Are you using a different background for the quickmenu? Anyway, is there a way to fix that quicly with a regedit or something?

I don't think there's any way to fix that :(. BTW: can we post comments and questions on my theme in it's thread please?

i have 21501 on my htc touch and i have exactly the same problem. only default theme is working correctly for me.

The Sprint background has been removed as I am working on a Sprint theme called Going Out of Buisness. Version 3.0 of this theme is going to include Start Menu Icons.

How to install:

No soft-resets needed!
1. Uninstall previous versions of this theme. (I doubt you have it lol)
2. Go to Today settings and switch to the Classic Blue theme. Then disable the Windows Default plugin.
3. Install "JonNRb Gone CRAZY.cab".
4. Install "JonNRB bronzeres.cab".
5. Go back to Today settings and select JonNRb CRAZY yellow and the Windows Default plugin.
6. Hit OK and you are officially as CRAZY as I am .

they might not be the appropriate version for your screen resolution, what phone do you have?

Here it is! my first attempt at a WM 6.5 Titanium theme. Don't be afraid, this won't break your device :D

Installation Instructions: WM 6.5 Only!

Make sure you've got SDK Certs installed First, install then soft-reset and continue to the next step!
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items , and disable the "Windows Default" checkbox
Copy rp_thm_titanium_blue_carbon.cab to your device and run it, make sure you install it in your device and not the storage card.
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items, and enable the "Windows Default" checkbox
Enjoy!


Tested on WWE Version of WM 6.5

If you ever want to go back to your original Titanium default theme, download rp_thm_titanium_default_restore.cab and perform the EXACT same process as above but with this file instead of the carbon cab.

my titanium had none of the displayed graphics.

vga version works for me (havent tried qvga)
htc taskmanager not so good readable, as in most themes but looks good other than that.

edit:seems like the theme is installed twice? there are two entrys to deinstall

Im just curious as to which 6.5 rom versions people are using? is there a more stable version people would recommend, im also wondering what radio to use. I currently have a radio which works well with macadam 1.2 rom so im pestimistic about it functioning better on a 6.5 rom.

nice themes guys! all look amazing! i was wondering tho, has anyone tried to make a theme with just icons instead of text? im a huge fan on clearing up text clutter on my devices... i kinda just like to see my back ground when i look at my phone... anyway im not very sensible when i comes to creating my own themes, so i just leave it to the pros... just throwing it out there, and im sure im not the only one that would be extremely grateful. or if someone could at least point me in the right direction as to how to create a theme that would be very helpful as well... Ask sunny.
I used his iconpack as a base.

You can always:
1: extract
2: resize and
3: rebuild
the battery pack for qvga

Just save all the res., batch convert them and re-insert them.
Be sure your batch converter supports alpha channel in PNG.

Here it is! my first attempt at a WM 6.5 Titanium theme. Don't be afraid, this won't break your device :D

Installation Instructions: WM 6.5 Only!

Make sure you've got SDK Certs installed First, install then soft-reset and continue to the next step!
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items , and disable the "Windows Default" checkbox
Copy rp_thm_titanium_blue_carbon.cab to your device and run it, make sure you install it in your device and not the storage card.
Go to Start > Settings > Today > Items, and enable the "Windows Default" checkbox
Enjoy!


Tested on WWE Version of WM 6.5

If you ever want to go back to your original Titanium default theme, download rp_thm_titanium_default_restore.cab and perform the EXACT same process as above but with this file instead of the carbon cab.

All the cab files I install work great. But I'm having issues with the .tsk files. When I load them in Today, the backgrounds don't load and some of the other graphics are left over from the previous theme. Any idea's who to get the tsk files to load correctly?

is this a theme posted here or your own? if your own then its probably the same reason i was having trouble. no one mentioned in any guides that the "company name" and "application" name CANNOT be the same in your cab and tsk

i darkened ibrythill's glass theme and am posting it with his permission. i really didn't do anything except darken the colors and center the scrolling trackbar (which probably didn't need to be centered, just when i darkened the colors, the darkest color was skewed a bit). hopefully this works out for you guys. again, it's ibrythill's theme, just darkened.

edit: nevermind, my cab doesn't seem to work. it seems that this theme will only work for me when i cook it into a rom. i tried using it on a different rom without it cooked in, and it turned my 6.5 theme into 6.1....

There is an option in the registry to disable the default samsung dialer which will allow the skinned dialers to kick in, i am tring to locate it so i figured id give a headsup incase you wanted to start looking on your own or someone else knew the path

excuse my bad english...i did this Theme for my personal fun. maybe some others like this 2. so - it was (and it is) a lot of work, and i´m very impressed, what you are doing here. i learned a lot tonight - reading the threads about wm 6.5 theme(ing) - and this is the first result...For the moment - only vga and no landscape.

i'm trying to change more icons in the condensed tabs especially the default ones like mail, voicemail, windows live etc etc...i could change the ones in the extended view which points to the bronzeres.dll, but still can't find the way for condensed tabs...

basically i have problems with all the tabs using "iconpath" instead of "icon"

any help?

ps: yes background theme is domsim's blackdragon all credits go to him it's version 1.0

Why does it seem that there is 2 different dragon themes? The one that Im looking at has nice oriental writting on it not that theres anything wrong with the other I just favor more of the dragon theme with the oriental writing........
