[SGH-i780] - Fail to Upgrade from PDXHL2 to PDXIB1

Hello,

I'm having problem upgrading my phone from PDXHL2 to PDXIB1 ROM with the error message on the version thing. Totally clueless on this as I upgraded my phone to the PDXHL2 using the original ROM downloaded from SAMSUNG earlier this year... :confused:

When I trigger the PDXIB1, it gives out the error message of the Version check after I click on the Verify Device button. Any ideas, please?

Another funny thing is that when I try to reflash again my phone to the PDXHL2 (I'm using the same file that was used earlier this year), it gives me the same version check error message???!!! :eek:

Any help would be highly appreciated and thanks...

try to flash back to DXHH1 both rom and phone via mirage then reflash with PDXIB1 via Samsung loader

strange, but i think the reason could be that previously before i upgraded to PDXHL2 ROM, the version on my phone/pda is i780DXHH1... then after i flash the ROM to PDXHL2 the version is reported as i780PDXHL2... there is an extra 'P' there...

guess this might be the issue when the updater program from SAMSUNG check the version is not i780DX series anymore, but i780PDX series... thus validation for DX phone failed... zzzz maybe this could be the issue i guess... zzzz :sigh:

i sent you a PM on 10.04.09 with the solution:

"hi,
you have to open the official upgraderEXE-file with a hex-editor, scroll near to the bottom of the file, there must be something like i780DXIB1. now you have to change it to i780DXHL1, save, that´s it. have fun!"

does it mean after u do that u can now update the rom tow m 6.5?
