I have Download your "- Download Chef_Tony's RUU" i extrakt it and put in on the Desktop (Win7 X64) than i download your "Radio 1.15.00" - I extrakt it and put it in the "Chef_Tony's RUU Folder" on my Desktop, than i make the Device in Bootloader Modus and put the USB Cable on it, than start the Ruu Tool ! ??

Whats wrong ?

Have you tried it on an XP machine (or even a 7 with 32 bit)? RUUs in general have weird issues with 64 bit architecture OS'.

ok, since you have the proper driver installed and you flashed successfully, your problem seems to be the "Image Radio Checksum Error", meaning, your download of the radio is corrupt. try and download the radio 1.15 again. it happened to me as well when i tried another radio.

i packed the original radio update 1.15 as a zip and uploaded it. extract the zip. inside there is an exe file. extract that as well, then you will have the official RUU and the radio rom. take the radio and use it with the modified RUU you usually use and flash it. that should work.

you need to set the enable kitl to NO (that is some debugging thing). and format storage and clear registry hive to YES, because, well, that's what you want to do, you want to wipe all information off the device, from the storage and the registry.

I actually went into the KITL for fun once and it does absolutely nothing (at least not that I can notice anyways)... like you said, it is mostly for diagnostics.

the country id error only comes up, because apparently you used BAupgradeut. you should use MAupgradeut_noid, which, like the name suggests, shows a magician, instead of a blueangel and does not check IDs, like country id or device id, hence "noID". you should have extracted the package till you see the official RUU and the radio_.nbf and copy the radio to your Chef_Tony RUU folder, containing maupgradeut_noid.

Did you follow Chef_Tony's guide before upgrading? Flash back to stock rom and start from scratch.

I do as instruction:
Press the "Mail" button. A white screen will show for 30 seconds, while it is clearing your device in preparation for the new ROM to start executing

But some minutes pass nothing happen. It seem my Mail button is not working. Do we have any way do anternative for Mail button ?

By reading your other post, it reads as if the device was stuck on the white screen. Flash a different rom.

It is stacked in Boot Option with four colors back ground not white screen. The problem is: I press Mail button (in 2-5 mins with many time trying) but no further action from device.

I could not unpack MDA III to check Mail button :(. Any guide line to teardown it ?

It is very funny after trying to teardown not successful, I turn it on and hard reset - I got:

Memory 90.96 Mb.

It is a bit slow compare with WM2003SE, any tool to improve speed ? Anyway I got it run in WM 6 after long trying . . .

One morething I can not connect by Wifi, in setting I donot see any tab to input information as in WM2003 or WM5. Is it bug ?

As a celebration for my 1000th post, I decided to open a new thread based on Tweakman's idea, which seemed to work very well in the Development and Hacking Section. The idea is simple, a single thread for all Questions, Problems, and Concerns regarding Blue Angel. This includes, but it is not limited to:

*Problems with Flashing.

Can't get your device in bootloader? Did it freeze during flashing and now it doesn't get past the 4 colored screen? Are you a complete noob and need some guidance as to how to flash? Etc.

*Have questions about which Rom is best?

*Want to install software but don't know if it is compatible with your BA

You get my point. All the questions that I have seen/answered over the past couple of months are just repetitions of posts, threads, and things that are readily available on the wiki or in other threads. However, people are either lazy, don't know what a Wiki is / where to find it, or just flat out don't know how to search (or read the forum rules for that matter). Having something general (in this case a sticky) that says "Hey, if you have a question, you can ask here" should draw enough attention and start minimizing the number of new threads and posts opened by users (both new and seasoned). This way, we will be able to keep the development threads a little cleaner and smaller... hence making the site's search function work a little better in the process.

Kinda like the Q&A team, I will need your help in trying to keep the influx of questions to a certain level by answering them as we see them. None of us are logged in 24/7 (or at least some of us aren't :D), but if you guys see a question, please try to answer it. Sorry for the delay. Try flashing to one of d-two's roms. His usually include the certs, so you shouldn't have this issue with his work. Also, you may be missing NetCF.

also, besides the fact that this was a double post, it seems, the issue was not the missing certificates, but the "missing components", i.e. .net cf 3.5. i never thought of that, but that solves a lot of unsolved issues, many people seem to have problems with that, because just from reading that d-two's roms contain .netcfcfg they assume .netcf is inside as well, while .netcfcfg is only a config program to coordinate the use of either .net cf 2.0 and 3.5

what error message do you get while attempting to upgrade?
no, there is nothing special to do before flashing another rom, just bootloader mode, use a custom RUU, flash the rom, hard reset the device. have a look at the tutorial thread linked in my signature to check the steps you made and get the RUU and different roms.
start, where it says "Upgrading a WM5/6 device in the first post". unless you are using windows 7, then you need to refer to d-two's tutorials here:

I was updating my phone os but it failed and now it is showing black screen and you can see only Serial on top and V 2.07 on bottom. When i'm connecting my phone to PC it shows USB on top and V 2.07 on bottom. My pc have win7 32 bit OS, and now when i'm connecting my phone it is not recognazing the phone just showing device connected. for windows 7 you need a special driver. follow d-two's tutorial in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623349 to install that driver and upgrade the device.

You may have installed some app that interferes with the caller ID. Soft reset and see what happens.

I started the installation and the phone restartirao to complete the installation. But after re-booting has not asked me the PIN, pomslio that it was OK, but now he does not see the SIM card. If you turn off the Menager (software) over the phone they can not light up, and if by any chance make the breakthrough it over the sim manager to enter my PIN, then logs NO SERVICE. That unless everything is working except the phone-so I will not give me even one virtual keyboard with numbers, not even contact a calendar throws an error. I put on a new ROM-clear to re-install Win on Mobula, but the situation is the same.
HARD RESET - can not do because my power button does not work as expected.
The problem is that the phone is not mine. Help does anyone have any idea. THANKS!
Some link with the original ROM or some of which are known to work. The phone is actually the Siemens SX66.

OK I'm resolved one part of this problem. Downgraded sx66 on WM2003 :) and now I can use sx66 like phone and pocket PC. But I need put back some newer ROM. How,which one (link please) and explanation please I'm noobe.

HaReT can boot Android 1.0, but since there are no drivers, it is almost completely useless. Having said that, we could try to get some other devs (dzo comes to mind) to help with this.

Hi all, i just got a Qtek 9090 with WM2003 (ITA). I upgraded to WM6.1, but now it has some strange problems: first of all, when it goes in standby, sometimes it doesn't wake up. If i have to reset it, most of times it doesn't boot (it shut down before WM loads) or i get R: None G: None and i have to reset again (otherwise the phone won't work).
The lock at the boot doesn't happen when the phone is connected at the USB port (i think that's because it charges, maybe it's a battery problem?)

Another thing is that i can't turn it off: if i hold pressed the power button, it deactivate the backlught but the device stays on, and if i make another long press, i get the backlight back again... I had this problem also with WM2003, maybe it's normal?
What do you think? Whan can i do?

I have Radio 1.15.00 and d-two's WM6.5.5 Build 23529 WWE on my device. I cannot turn on Wifi from Comm Manager.
I tried to downgrade to Radio 1.13.00 but the installation process gave an error and closed down.
Can you help?

unfortunately, some radio roms, found around the forum here, get crc errors, so you should stick to 1.15.00, because that is sure to work. i guess that is why you couldn't flash the 1.13. also, with cooked roms, it is normal that sometimes the wi-fi won't turn on through comm manager after a soft reset. the first time it should be turned on using the wi-fi settings and further on/off circles can be done through the comm manager.

The breaks in audio normally correspond to the BT stack as far as I know. I believe that d-two's BT works a little better. I would try to flash that as he has done some extensive testing on a lot of things before he released his RC2.

Give that a shot and see if that works.

One other thing that occurred to me was the head piece itself. For some weird reason, some brands work better with the BA than others. I had a plantronics a while back (can't remember the model) and I couldn't get further than 2 ft from the phone (sound would start breaking at 1 ft). Can you try a different branded BT headset?

Also, did you hard reset after flashing?

I did the hard reset work just after the flashing every time. Here the Sun dream's 28237 Aku5.3.8 DefaultWWE+CHS-Xtask is a little bit better than the D-two's wm6.5 build 21888. The bt connection can be hold for more 3 hours sometime. I think this could be the best result maybe.
The reason why I use plantronics V520 is I have a XV6700(CDMA) to connect too and V520 is the cheapest choice.

Once a pop-up came up that an error occurred and program had to close, but it was a program pop-up, not the windows reporting screen. I installed net2.0 just in case there was a dependency missing but still not working. Running xp 32bit. Also this started after installing activesync for windows. I closed down the three processes in task manager as well.

Wished I could, only came up with the box once, now all it is doing is the hourglass to say it's trying to execute and nothing else happens. I downloaded the file from your pdf how-to, and it starts and runs. But it will not update the radio and fails there. do you have the files unpacked from the .exe file hosted somewhere?

Now I have to figure out why it won't let me change languages from German (vodafone) to english rom. Still fails at radio rom update - using the Siemens WWE package.

I was able to get it to work with your english rom with no problems. Still don't know why either one didn't work other than changing the language and country, but all is well.

I've lost sms functionality using tmailsms. Cannot send or receive. But there are 4 old texts showing. I installed sms-chat and this works fine - but no sms notification though.

Checking the CE databases it looks like tmailsms is stuck pointing to a corrupt sms database with four records in it. Whilst sms-chat points to a different (correct) sms database. But I can't delete the corrupt one as it's in use by the OS!

Anyone help with this please?

Well, I had the same problem, didn't have time for such troubles I had to hard reset my BA. But I also would like to know how to repair this without clearing storage...

Hi, lets get to the point. When I try to reflash my BA, I put it in the bootloader mode, connect it to the PC, kill the activesync, and then waiting.....for almost 2 HOURS!! My BA just shows "Serial" and "v2.07", it won't change to "USB", so I can do nothing. What's happen here?? Is my BA broken or what??:confused::confused::confused: Need help please....

PS: I want to reflash my BA because the OS, which is WM 6.5, get hang/stuck, so I can't open my contact, calendar, task, etc. It can't be used to make a call to...:(:(:( and check my thread here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18952083#post18952083). And I can connect it to the PC using activesync when not in the bootloader mode...

Don't worry is not broken try using MTTY http://giovesoft.wordpress.com/2009/11/16/mtty/ in Win XP and your BA live again like the 90% of users try to upgrade it lol

That isn't working for me:(:(:(.... But later, I think I began to recognize the problem...

In every tutorial for Win7 that I read (this tutorial and d-two's tutorial), I was ask to update the driver of "Microsoft USB Sync". But in my case, that "Microsoft USB Sync" wasn't shown. I think it's because I haven't sync my BA with the PC yet (I've just reinstall my Windows, so all of the setting is gone). If you sync your BA, you will get the "Microsoft USB Sync" on your device manager.

But now, the problem is, I can't sync my BA with the PC, because of error in my PIM (Contact, Calendar, Task, Phone, Messages, etc). I only able to explore my devices through ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center, not synchronize it. Even my ActiveSync/WMDC shows an error on the connection. So, I can't update/install the driver for "Microsoft USB Sync", because my BA have an error connection with the PC. Any ideas to solve it??

And would cloning method worked for my devices?? I mean, I get a cloning from another BA, install it in my BA, and then repeat the reflash process with my preferred ROM??

I have a "new" Blue Angel, PH20B-MDAIII t-mobile (I've already had one 2 years ago, it was perfect, I loved it. I updated several times from 2003SE to wm5, after that wm6.5, there was no problem), everything is working fine, but there is a "no gsm" sign under boot, and in the ce there is no radio.rom and no imei. When I try to update the radio.rom, it doesn't start, by 0% my computer thinks a little, and stops with an error 114 (maybe because of there is no previos version in the pda). I've read everything on the internet (not only in this site) for a week, I've tried everything without luck. Getdevicedata shows me only the main rom (right now a wm6.1), nothing else (no country code, or anithing else). Can somebody tell me what to do?
