i780 usb and activesync problem

Hello!

First, sorry my bad english :)
I have bought my samsung i780 just for a week. I would like to connect it to my laptop to update the contacts and save the pictures. I installed the ms activesync 4.5 and plugged in the data cable (type: APCBS10BBE and also tried APCBS10UGE). The windows sent me an error message about could not recognise the phone. I have not installed any specific usb driver. I tried plug in and out the cable more times (about 10-15) and once there was a success, the synchronisation was fine. Everytime when i try to connect, i have to repeat the plug in/out procedure about 10-15 times... I am afraid, this is the i780 usb connectors fault :( Is there any other possibility to fix the problem whithout change the connector?
Could you be so kind to give me some advices?

Thanks, but i've already tried the bluetooth for connetcting to the activesync. The problem is: I can't set up the bluetooth serial port on the i780 to the same as the pc bt serial... :(

having same problem with my i780 I am at a loss, phone is in dutch and I can not load english rom with out usb connection, what should I do?

I got a i780 with CoinJun's Rom which version was forgot.I often can not sync to my pc.I upgraded the new ROM which version is PDXIB1 downloaded from samsung.Now,it is ok.:)

i have a big problem. i have a samsung i780 with orange rom (pbvic2), he wont connect to activesync, when i put the cable usb in, he charge, red led is on, the pc make sound connection, on the phone appears "connecting to host" but nothing. And another problem is that he see the sd card, but the computer wont, i try another card, the card reader is seeing , after i put him in the phone he become invisible on the pc, he corrupte them, pls tell what to do, or maybe i need to change the rom? but how ? becausae i have no pc connection...
