Solved the problem, will add in next release..

Also will be add :

- Resco Photo Viewer (as Album Function in M2D)
- Google Maps with Street View
- sLock at Camera button

will be change :
- M2D left softkey --> Tasks
- GPS Button --> chgFingerMouse

Do U mean change image boot screen to default wm6.1?

You can change it (Just replace the Animation& Image with old ones) :)

Write owner name just fine.. maybe your i780 cursor in active.. it change the keyboard to 4-way navigation.. just press GPS key to turn it off/on.. :D

Just realize SRS Wow HD must cook in ROM to make image fit in 128 dpi :eek:

Wow this make i780 sound quality much improve

I use Flash & Esmertec Java from Samsung IB1 Build (OEM App)..

I don't know the version.. since I rarely use java.. (only for opera mini)

if it is flash 2.1 ( this one comes with original oem) it doesnt open flv videos like youtube dailymotion. and latest esmertec is good for java games we can get help from inertiax he has latest build and registry codes.

Yes.. because two of them have same features

thats why I enable it all.. with some configurations..

well latest resco keyboard support 128 dpi. but i couldnt find a way to change htc album to storage card. my all pictures are in storage card.whenever i add storege card / my pictures as favourite in resco photo pro again it is turning to device/ my pictures. how can i change this? to be able to see my pictures on maila 2d?

nbh file is for Hermes as I remember.. I used to cook with Joshkosh Kitchen for my old hermes..

For i780, just use EFN Kitchen.. you can download it.. it's in the forum..

Yes of course.. After you get kitchen structure (OEM, ROM & SYS)..

You need to make a package of WIMP and place it in OEM folder.

I got 2 minor issues. Can you kindly help?

Thank you for your swift reply. I'm using 1.0 and I stick to the original, i.e., Photo Viewer Pro v6.33 and did not install any key mapping software.

In addition I installed Pocket Informant 8.5.1 B2329. It crashed a few times and then I uninstall it and delete a Crash file. Now I installed Pocket Informant 8.5 B2308. I'm not sure whether it may corrupt some files during uninstallation.

1)well thats the problem i am trying all the time to play youtube videos from opera browser and it doesnt play. as far as i know thje latest build of opera with flash3.1 can play youtube videos.
2) i noticed that there are some graphical problems with comm manager.when i try to turn off data connection on off bottons are not working as graphical. ok it closes or opens data connection but no off on buttons highligted.
3)can you delete mini player and old java launcher from rom to have more space?
4)i hope you will release also a version with pure wm6.1 with only manila 2d.(it can include newest java and flash but no editing keys shortcuts...)

5) what abt 8mb pool version :D

(3)I replace old Java with New Esmertec Java (work fast).. miniplayer is only 263 kb (although I'm not using it :D, but still a cool app.)

Just wondering. Do you know how configure the Long Press GPS without installing key mapping application? The original "Settings-Personal-Buttons" can't do that.

Seem that you've collected some more great stuffs for your next ROM. What is your plan for the next ROM? 6.1 or 6.5? Any target date?

1. i wish to "erase" the original bottom bar: it's over the bar of manila
2. on the home page i can't see the "call history" and the others
3. in the "mail" tab i can't see "set new account"
4. in the "weather" tab i can't set any city (i can't see any words)
5. In the "settings" tab there aren't any words displayed

I'm using my own italian rom based on the PDXHI1 and i don't know if these issues are caused by the italian language.

Can you confirm the cab works without any trouble, simply installing it on the device?

The issue occur in 128DPI ROM base (ex:PDXHI1)... I customize my self to make it right..

In 96DPI ROM base (ex: L1) works fine because cab design for 96DPI.. still you must customize a little bit..

Customize value in HTCHomeSettings.xml... yes,background must be resize..

To understand the value of HTCHomeSettings.xml, explained in this forum

i had the same problem and thats why now i changed to original samsng rom. my battery ends longer. i think the reason is manila 2d consumes too much memory and thats why it consumes battery also.if you like manila 2d use it ;)

You must install TCPMP for i780 to make it works.. standard TCPMP not work in our device.. Just search in this forum.. :)

After working several days with the final 1.1 version, I must say I'm not happy.
This last version has issues with my car bluetooth (a nokia device) and also I see that some video application we use at work is not running. (just exists without any error).


The first version did not had these problems (but is much different than 1.1).

Yes, I have the same experience with you.. that's why I use Samsung R2VS (better than SRS I think).. :)

But if you really like SRS, you should ask Mascian.. I see one of his ROM include SRS..

Ok, in between I tried to load EFN's V5 (96DPI) rom to see if the SRS works. And to my surprise it does ! I need SRS to work because I am planning to give my i780 to my wife who has hear deficiency so the click tone and ringtone need to get the extra boost :-)

you can see the main diff is that he pointed the "Dll"="R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO_Driver.dll", and yours is pointed to "R2VS_ARM_WM5_PPC.dll". So once I installed SRS in your rom, it will not work unless I import the wavedev.reg around the forum. But once I did that, the OldDriver will be pointed to R2VS_ARM_WM6_PRO.dll then we will have the dead phone issue.

You can use M2DC to "backup" the Touchflo 2D setting. Then go to M2DC folder to edit the file.

After that use Resco to replace the original file, reboot.

You won't be able to get it done I guess, coz the dimension is diff :) The themes there are 204 x 320 images whereas i780 is running on either 240 x 240 or 320 x320 images.

So....give up ? :)

in settings i can't use "wireless lan" and, when I open the tab Communications and i scroll with the mouse, a little noise appears as the link below. I've find a lot of comm manager but they aren't as mine: can you suggest some link to have a correct comm manager without noises?

i flashed my german i780 (previous : english i780 rom), then i synced it with my pc, installed gpsproxy and tomtom. everything worked fine til now. the applications icons went to normal (they looked like without theme) and i couldn`t start any applications anymore. i shut the i780 down and booted again. the phone was like after a hard reset. i had to set up everything, al my contacts, data, programms were gone. now everytime i shut the phone off, all data ist lost. ist this a known bug? what can i do?

if you are installing an official update, you may need to extract and hex edit the region / network carrier designation to match your device.

eg. my phone had CEHI2 and i wanted to install DXIB1.
for xp update, extract contents using winrar. i dont know if you need to extract the vista one or not, i dont have vista
using a hex editor, edit the extracted EXE.
eg. search for a STRING DXIB1, and change region / network carrier designation to suit your device. ie. i changed DXIB1 to CEIB1, save.

Yes you can but you need the entire hl2 for mirage (not only the pda part wich is a .bin file). I think is better to use the official hl2 updater and than flash the pda part with the ib1 using mirage

Any one knows where to fix and repair. I brought it through local reseller. I know it was originated from Singapore but am not able to find our local Samsung support for report (not officially launched product locally).

have u try catch it on safe mode , press f8 after get bios before enter win
select safe mode on command prom then try pcmav in cmd and u can try msconfig on run menu then unselect startup the prog that u thinks the virus
and go to tab service select service , stop service what u thik virus

or u can use ansav ,use the plugin to unhide folder hiden

I would like to make a new ROM, but my computer attacked by virus.. it's make my hidden folders can't be shown & my WinAmp repeat every 10second.. all my tools for cooking ROM is in hidden folders..:(

I tried AVG, PCMAV..but still can't catch the virus.. Any recommend Antivirus should I try? :confused:

no issues m8....just wanted to let you know that your rom is simply the best....and there's nothing that beats it! A couple of my friends who've bought the same phone......the first thing that i did was flash it with your rom.....and then......anything else :)

Hi tried from -> Start->run-> regedit

navigate to Hkey_current_user/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer .. on the right Explorer search for NoFolderOptions, change it's value to 0 (zero) for unhide folder option..

And HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Advanced\Hidden change the Hidden value to 1 (one) to show hidden files..

Im experiencing problem while running audio manager (from HTC the one which is preinstalled) when i put phone to sleep by pressing power button then i wake it up the screen only flash and it goes back to sleep after one more try it wakes up every time it is the same while audio mgr is running, it only happens when music is paused/stoped, anyone else has the same ?

Sorry for a bit off topic. After flashing the Heros Rom, my phone was dead. It is not a flash problem. The phone reboots and sets up again as usual. Then afterward, it has a few hard reset by itself. Unfortunately, it is dead.

Unable to switch on despite the methods provided in various threads.

Any one knows where to fix and repair. I brought it through local reseller. I know it was originated from Singapore but am not able to find our local Samsung support for report (not officially launched product locally).

Any help is appreciated.

your hardware is fried m8....i had the same problem and i turned it over to service. They told me my motherboard is toasted and they replaced it for me. sorry m8, its a dead one :(

I am using cooked 6.5 rom on my Samsung i780. It use to have a default alarm on wm6.1, I found it really very useful. I have copied it from 6.1 rom, it runs the app but alarm doesn't work. So can anyone help please. May be would be good to extract a .cab package from the 6.1 please. I am sure so many will be benefited. Thanks in advance.

I am talking about the alarm in the programs, this is not default windows alarm. This is a separate app that comes with samsung i780 6.0 or 6.1 in programs folder. hope its clear now. And i am using a cooked rom which doesnot have that app in startmenu>programs. is it possible to dump that app in a cab installation file for my 6.5 rom?

Yes. You need to dump the rom and convert to flashble bin. There is a tutorial available somewhere on these forums. Please search.

No need to have HL2 boot for upgrade to IB1 if you use all-in-one official IB1 upgrader.

the SE xperia x1 (and x2?) is a good bet :)
it has an optical trackpad, great keyboard and and a button based dpad too! wvga screen goodness :)

but, the only thing that sucks about it is that its a qualcomm processor....so your video playback will suck :(

WM 6.5 or the WM6.1 latest with manilla and one without manilla.....that will be very good. :D

same as me, tried several time to use wm6.5, but it stuck / hang / slow when using sms/call. ended with 6.1, more faster, no hang.

Btw heroes version is the best one among v6.1..
hope, weldeh upgrade this version perhaps using new m3d or wisbar. stick to v6.1 :D
