Error when updating to 6.1 please help! (i wannt be cool :p )

yeah ive tried a bunch i couldnt get it to go. and dont worry about the active sync with the wing. it reverts to that when the dash disconnects. also the dash goes to the white screen. the main reason i want 6.1 is because i want do use a 4gb sd card. and my phone is sda unlocked. please help!

it says connection error....but its connected to the computer.

Did you do both Surreal and SDA unlock? What about USPL...

i dontt know what surreal unlock is or what uspl is...can you help me out? i thought you just sda unlocked and click auto in the 6.1 folder and did what the command line says.

Don't know if that is why you can't flash, but it could be. Look around the guides more too.

Read it and you will find both Surreal and SDA links download.

thanks for the link. has anyone ever seen this error when it shouldnt happen? (ie. the dash is really connected and on) id love to figure this out i want 6.1 so bad after reading everything about it.

thats what i read for steps to upgrade...but i still get the error no matter what i try. ive upgraded to cooked roms before (when 6.0 first came out) and then switched to the tmo 6.0 rom but i cant get 6.1 to load.

And as you can see, that guide is kind of not 100% accurate since it does not have the Surreal unlock.

The not passing over 3% issue has been dealt with many times.


SDA unlock it from desktop, download the Surreal, pass it in the File Explorer. Go on the phone itself, of course without ever detaching it from the cable in active sync, and install the .cab. restart the phone, I personally flashed it with a USPL thing, I guess I did an extra step that was not needed, so technically at this point, you should select the RUU like say Kavana, and it should work. Let it do its thing even when rebooting... I know it looks like its taking too long at times... but just set it down and go drink a coffee or something then come back. Once it starts normally, I didn't have to setup anything, unlike what the guide says, but its best you do it anyway from connection setup and choose USA >T-Mobile, if that is what you have of course. Then for MMS just look at one of my threads, I helped some guys just as opf recent. You will see all the info you need. :)

yes jus type in kavana 6.1 in youtube shows u how to install it wit kavana rom

thanks guys. i got that shit working. i jumped on my laptop (windows 7 32bit) and download everything and the only thing i did differently is did the surreal networks thing. worked like a charm. i love 6.1 its great. the only thing i dont like about the rom is when it starts it says ricky and the other guy. i mean i guess its okay because they made the rom...but i want it to be smoother. but once agian thank you so much guys.

Told you it was surreal. :) You can also try Kavana's ROM, it is a bit "smoother" if I get your drift. :)
