Well, I saw all those QVGA Rhodium Menu ports popping up, but each of them had SOME issue or another. Some had the graphics messed up, others had text wrapping issues. SO, I decided to make my own cab and stuff. Let me know if it works for anyone else. I ported the graphics myself, and tweaked the settings from original.

It will only work with build>21000 like with the VGA-version, right?

Hi

I've just updated my ROM to Hyperdragon IV 10th April and this CAB won't install. It says installation unsuccessful as the software was intended for another device.

thanks mate, will download this...been looking for an addon like this to add to ROMS that dont have it cooked in...i'm over in the kaiser forum so i'll check this out and report back...

IT CAN'T BE INSTALL IN HERMES 6.5 21202-THE SAME NOTE:IT UNSUCCESSFULL INSTALL-BUT I HAS USED A ROOM 21198 JOSH HAS MENU ENHANCEMENT IN ROOM. IT SMOOTH BUT I DON'T LIKE IT AS DEFAULT MENU OF WIN 6.5:o

For those of you having installation unsuccessful errors, I changed a few things and repackaged the cab. Try it again, and see if it works. ^_^

No, the text wrapping was fixed in a .dll by someone else, actually.

Hi There,

It installs fine on my Herald using the JustStable ROM from Ivanmmj (21040).
But It does not work.

I did a soft and a hard reboot.
But no luck

Odd, I've tested this on a Vogue and a Kaiser, and it worked on both. I changed a few things around again. Sorry to hear that it's not working for you guys. Try ti again, i guess. : /

I myself am trying to get as much Rhodium apps as possible. I don't have experience in programing, but some in Photoshop etc.

What are the possibilities in porting the SMS and Contact apps from the Rhodium?

From what I've read, you need TF3D for the SMS app to work. I don't know about the contacts app, but I guess we'll just have to see. I would be awesome if someone released a non TF3D release of those apps. (My knowledge mainly remains in Photoshop, and then some coding, so I'm almost in the same boat as you, haha.)

No, the text wrapping was fixed in a .dll by someone else, actually.

Sorry was that you who fixed it i have tested several version with so called fixed dll's but this is the first to work well only messes up on long file names so the problem is still there just made better

unable to get this to work on my kaiser, i'm running build 21139...it will install but nothing happens after that, i did soft reset after install, but still the same ol menus...

Other than the kais name and some screen porting i dont see anything changed :confused: Has this worked on anyones device yet? Im going to see what i can come up with but im a little lost. I dont see any reg entries changed at all. This is where we need help as well as the screen size... I will see whats up. Mighta just overlooked something :confused:

Is there a registry setting to disable the Rhodium Menu Enhancement?
I'm using one of AtOmAng's ROMs which has this menu built in, but I prefer using the classic menu's :)

I think it is HKLM\Services\NotificationManager

I managed to disable the menu by changing:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu\CUIHandler"
to DWORD "0" :)

to DWORD "0" :)Thanks a lot! It's ridiculous that the entire screen estate is wasted on white-space for "fancy" menus. The old menus were better because you can see where you came from, go back to the previous menu item, and easily navigate by finger and d-pad.

Bigger menus DO NOT solve the question of how to give menu-based selections to the user in a friendly way.

I'd love to place it in your thread, but I want to get it working for more people, because it seems useless at the moment. D:

This is the best version released for QVGA ,nearest to perfect that i have tested for my device as it only suffers from a small amount of text wrapping on long file names thanks for your hard work on this version i appreciate it :)

I'm running OS 21046 with my Kaiser and there's no way to let this to work. I'm using a Naked version of Shifu V06 ROM, where the full has this menu running fine, so, it may be something missed in the Naked. I've checked everything, but it won't come up... but if I install FingerSuite, it works fine.

I ported mine myself so my version is not stripped of any dlls done a file comparison with my working 21015 and i can't find any missing files :confused:

The Rhodium BS is just a hype, not much practical meaning at all...

So far, the Menu Enhancement just doesn't work on the Herald, at all. :/

Yes, it never worked on a herald/wing (it's not your fault)... Maybe ports of the new tachi/topaz menu's could work?

Over at my thread (QVGA Developments) there are several Menu Enhancements. If you are looking for a Menu Enhancement, I have tested the Fingersuite, and it works just fine. If you are looking for NOTIFICATION Enhacements, which seems to be the pain, there is on there that is the new style HTC Notification with the Windows style pop-up.

is there a way to make the harware softkeys work after the menu is displayed? on my ipaq 610c the harware keys for softkeys only work until the menu comes up, then the keys stop responding, but the on-screen softkeys work fine.:(
