When I set this image to be the background on the Home Reg, there is a vertical black line to the left....anybody try this? I tried with the original 640 x 480 image and I still get that line.

EDIT: I redid the graphics from ground-up, because the resized ones didn't look good and didn't capture the patterns in the menu. :D

Haha, I don't know about that. I'm pretty sure it won't. That app adds extra features into the Warning message. This one simply modifies it. Try it?

This warning app works...but...it replaces the ShutXP. So one looses the soft reset button. I'll keep it for a while, since I do lots of testing and installs, i rather have the reset button, for those who don't, keep this.

Currently the HTC Menu Enhancement isn't working on all QVGA ROMS, THe FingerSuite I like a tad bit more because of the ease of scheming the colors and arrows etc.

Umm,

Here is a 'Diamond 2' Wallpaper, it's actually the Touch 2 Pro wallpaper, converter to grayscale for a Diamond 2 style. I believe it's what HTC did, LOL. ;)

I'm working on that (about to install on my Touch Vogue) and Conflipper's QVGA Notification Enhancement. I think I figured out why the Notifications Manager screen in a little funky. More in a little bit...

cant wait till there is a fixed/fully functional (as can be) notification enhancement cab.

It's part of the FingerSUITE, not only on the fingermenu, it does MOST of the notifications!

So far there is some Home Reg edits, ringtones, alerts, theme, backgrounds, notifications, menu enhancements, and some other stuff in the works, (ie, Comm Manager, a theme for iContact, and searching for someone to make the Canvas port.)

PocketCM Keyboard 0.14 w/ Manila/Diamond inspired keyboard skin.
(I have big fingers, so this works better for me than the system keyboard)

It works, but no pop-up yet, they are working on the pop-up right now, basically taking bits and pieces of the real Rhodium system and installing them in our ROM. I am like everyweek adding to the thread, so it'll end up here when it's ready.

But i like the notifications as is. :rolleyes:

Wapvirus did the resizing, I was gonna continue working on it by seeing the original Rhodium background "white" which i dunno if it's a slight gray. Also the little hex coding I know is for changing the button colors to green. :p

After that i there not more i could do.

I am having problems since yesterday with my PC Laptop, gonna see what it is, so far I can use my Mac.

Just press the Setting you want to see. If you press in Comm Manager "Wifi" then the Wifi Menu opens up. If Wifi is OFF, you only see the title "Wifi Networks" like my screenshot....If Wifi is ON, you see all the available networks.

look in my sig. and follow the links to my qvga taskbar. i have cdma tho but i believe all the icons work 4 both gsm/cdma, except 4 the signal icons. the links go 2 ppcgeeks, if you dont like my setup, gadgetfreak has many options 4 qvga. he is working on a conversion of tsowensTB6 elite, which i think will work 4 gsm/cdma (qvga)

It's a 'new style' notification enhancement, as seen in the first picture of the second row of the screenshots. Instead of a little white pop-up, you get this full blown windows. This is still being worked on, Rhodium has nifty color icons and stuff.

i dont know, then what are you and kancrutt talking bout? you both said you want the rhodium taskbar, you think many would want it.

if its standard wm6x taskbar, then theres no point. if its not the same and sum1 wants it, find the dlls for the taskbar, post them, and i'll take a look.

I´ve spent a few hours trying to get the Rhodium keyboard to work in QVGA and I think is almost ready to release so that anyone interested can check it out. Thanks to Nikoan89 and everyone who helped with the VGA version!!!

I would like to release it as an installable cab file but I am not able to install it in my elfin and I need some help.

1.-Used msceinf.exe to extract the files from "Nikoan89 Noarrow Rhodium Keyboard.cab".
2.-Resized all the image files, adjusted all the xml files and adjusted all the dlls with image resources.
3.-Used cabwiz.exe with the ".inf" file generated to generate the new cab using the resized/adjusted files.

Everything runs fine but when I try to install the cab, it fails with "cannot be installed" error. What am I doing wrong? If you guys help me with this, I will probably port the other EzInput 2 keyboards available.

My PC is out of order, so I am using my Macbook, now how can I extract these files to replace the ones in my window directory? Any idea?

well i am confused with this app so i have left alone for a while as the author say's about installing some other cab first and the only version i can find is VGA :confused:(don´t forget to install "Nikoan89 Noarrow Rhodium Keyboard.cab" first!!!)

Tried Installing and I get the same error as the original one posted that it cannot be installed. I have a HTC Touch WM 6.1 with a 21014 Build.

i ran the cab on my kaiser, everything seemed to go well during installation but after soft reset i still have old keyboard. i am running 6.1 build 21068, and if i go to settings/remove programs it says its installed :confused:
even if this worked im not sure if i could spare 7 mb for a keyboard on my kaiser, but im sure others would find it usefull hopefully it will be fixed.

update....just installed on pda corner X2 and it works :) the quality is pretty good, just needs a lil more work....here is a screenshot

The new cab installs fine. It loads 3 SIP listings TouchInput, Touch Keyboard & Touch Keypad. Touch Input is the only one that does anything. Ido get the new keyboard. A few things are still not sized correctly, The xt9 button, the button to the left of the spacebar, which is the Shift Key and the 123 button only shows 12#(I think it should be 123 ???). THe xt9 works great, the key click sound and vibe setting work well too.

All in all for a 1st shot it is amazing.

I will try and post a screen shot soon and will further test it out. :D

Update:

The 123 key that is 12# is an error with the Graphic, I extracted the cab and that is the way it is.

The T9/ABC & Shift Keys look correct in the graphic files, so it must be a position thing in one of the controlling files (Eay past my expertise)

So other than a few asthetics, which maybe mbarvian or asak0 the original poster can fix IT WORKS GREAT!!!! Thanks and Great Job!

After using it for awhile now I have found the following:

The only keys that are correct on the keyboard when pressed are the q , .

All the rest are giving incorrect letters.

All the numbers and symbols on the 12# menu (Both Pages) are correct.

Not sure how the keys are mapped, but 99% of the keys on the keyboard are mapped incorrectly. :confused:

It's the "plainblack" theme in thumbcal, i will soon put one with the original Rhodium Background. I'll finish it this weekend. Again, my PC is dead, using my notebook in the meanwhile.

Looking good, I assume you saw my posts on the graphics issues which look to be fixed in your screen shot.

But, Did you read my post that only the q . , work on the keyboard, all the other letter mapping is really off.

Any help I can provide in getting this working 100% let me know, I am willing to help in any way, just pm me.

I´ve been testing it in my elfin this morning and all the keys seem to work ok, but the "space" key sometimes works and sometimes does not. I´ll keep on working on it and see what I can do.

For your information, those keys that are still a bit misplaced come from the SIPBitmaps dll, and those will probably be the "hard to fix" ones as they are placed in their position through the code inside an exe or another dll.
Anyway, I think some of those misplaced images can be fixed by adjusting the position of the keys in the XML files, so I encourage anyone interested to play around with the "x" "y" "w" and "h" attributes of the nodes inside the XML files.

Ok, thanks for the update. I installed the new version you posted and all the graphics are now 100%. I found where the issue is with the key mapping, well not the root cause but, If I use ABC it works flawlessly, all keys are 100%. It is when I am in T9 mode that all the keys are off, I did not realize this when I was testing this before. I am not sure why the mapping would be any different, but who knows. I may try the T9 files from the Opal keyboard and see if that makes any difference.

Anywho, at least I can use the Keyboard, I will just suffer and check my spelling etc... without the T9 for now.

Just tested it, works quite well except for the spacebar, i space a text, and the following word get stuck with the previous one. Also I think the "A" needs one more pixel to the right, I will be updating the original post and pics.

As Paul_Days says, there seems to be an issue with the space bar. I´ve noticed that if the word I´m typing is underlined, the spacebar won´t work until I "un-underline" it. Eg: if you press the "right" key in the hardware button the underlining disappears and the space bar works perfectly.
Anyway, if you go to "Settings" and check all the options (Spell correction, Word completion in T9 mode, Word Completion in ABC mode and Auto-Substitution) everything seems to work ok. ¿Can anyone confirm if anything similar also happens in the VGA version?

This is great - thanks! One problem I've found is if I switch to the numeric keypad, type a number and then switch back to ABC then the letters seem mized up - e.g. I press "L" but get "T." Switching to landscape mode and back again fixes it.

I change it in the keyboard options (those that pop up when you press the "up" arrow near the keyboard image). To be able to select more languages you have to edit the registry and update the value of "AvailableLanguages":

Search your registry for a key name(red) which has the value as your SIP's name(green)

e.g

It works for me on wm 6.5 as long as I don't switch to numeric and back.

Neither of the Notification Manager/Replacement Cabs actually work!

On attempted installation of Conflipper's, I receive an error regarding a file being not digitally signed.

The other file enables the notification manager, but lacks the message boxes. Only a black translucent screen is shown.

In their original thread it states that it is still being worked on, the "pop-up" part, they are criss-crossing manila versions, dlls, so it's a matter of time and matching the files, resizing, resourcing etc.

Not yet but it's work in progress as you can see from the above posts about 90% i am getting pop ups now but they shoot of screen so i think it's just resizing the settings in the dll files

I just tried EzInput 2.0 QVGA on my HTC Wizard... and well its buggy alright, i found it to be a but slow :( and then the SIP icon at the bottom wont change :( and when u close the keyboard the SIP Icon at the bottom just keeps on being high lighted :( and overall it slows down my Messaging application :o any one else having same problems??

Yeap, i noticed that too, gonna tell the develop to do a "minimize" on the close buttom, and a quit on the menu so we don't have to wait for the loading.

Anybody working on the Comm Manager? after it's done I want to see if I make up a .cab with all the goodies we have. I am now checking the fonts in the Rhodium system for I think they differ from the ones in my ROM.

Please update if there is anybody else working on any developments.

Need to get everything together for my desktop is not ready yet and i don't think their is a .cab builder for Mac, which im currently using.

It's not really a bug, but if you notice in my Home screen, my wallpaper goes all the way up behind the Date and Carrier Name, from the looks of your theme, it does not, you think you can fix that?

No need to be rude. I simply ask because many QVGA projects add in WQVGA support in the same thread. Obviously, the step from QVGA -> WQVGA is easier than (W)VGA -> QVGA, so it would happen here if it did anywhere else.

Im not positive, but I think that htc doesnt have any wqvga phones, and cause this is a htc site no one ports it to wqvga, but like I said I am not positive, and I am not sure if these cabs will work because I cant test it although I dont htink they will but then again like I said I am not completly sure about any of this just trying to be a little helpfull :)

I use the HTC Notification on my Onyx and it's in English......Conflipper, I never had that problem.

True about the Easycontact, there used to be a QVGA download there, must be fixing the app.

This port is not working properly, first off its not in english lol, and second there are no notifications. All you see when you get a missed call or a SMS is a big black transparent screen with options

it may be something to do with the build , certain rhodium ports don't work on older builds than 21xxx

Will break it down to several parts, a general cab for the main "rhodium" components and maybe a secondary for external storage "Additional" enhancements. For those who have limited device memory.

Nope, I changed the reg. entry back to 0 and soft reset and still get the old pop up bubbles. :confused:

But when you press the mail icon after that I get the new notification manager and that works great.

Nope, I changed the reg. entry back to 0 and soft reset and still get the old pop up bubbles. :confused:

But when you press the mail icon after that I get the new notification manager and that works great.

yeah, that's what I thought. I set the value to not use the new bubbles because they are not correctly ported

In original Topaz CommManager there are also bluetooth, wifi, phone finger friendly settings (screens here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3599732&postcount=1)). Is it possible to port them also to qvga?

Hi I just installed this Phone Canvas and it works great no more blurry calls log when you navigate down. It does the same thing on my Vogue. Its quite annoying, but a great dialer otherwise. Can anyone can up with a fix for this?

when i installed the comm manager everything on the settings tab on m2d disappeared

anyone else had this happen?

I find a Phone Canvas which works on QVGA,
However, it seems that it can only work fine on 6.5 rom......
I hope there will be someone can test it on 6.1 roms

Instruction:
1. Copy all the files inside "Phone_Canvas_Enchancement_2G" & "Phone_Canvas_Enchancement_2G_0409" to "Windows"
2. import the registry "rgu.reg"

you need a higher build. try flashing a 6.5 ROM ;)
I want to switch to Wm 6.5,
however I can't find a Tradition Chinese Rom........
But if pcarvalho can make a T.Chinese Ezinput, I will consider to flash a ENG 6.5 rom :D

Didn't happen to me but i have settings panel inactive, so checked via reactivating all fine, maybe worth trying to install inactive then activate to see if works?

well this comm manager didn't work from cab for me all the reg settings are wrong for my device so i fixed them and now it works fine . I would say to all who are having trouble with this comm manager check the reg settings are correct for your device ;)

I think it's better that mbarvian will pm chavonbravo and ask for his help. I'm sure that if these 2 great chefs will cooperate they will be able to create together a perfect cab
