I'm looking for an eBook Reader that has a paper-like looking background same as the Amazon Kindle does... anyone know of an application like this???

I've searched the forums and google but have come up empty-handed thus far...

Well, those ebook readers have a special type of screen that you can't duplicate on your phone. So it's not going to look exactly like that. That being said, there are a couple out there that can use textured backgrounds. I haven't used uBook for a while, but I seem to remember that it could use different backgrounds. I'm currently using Mobi, which does not have this feature.

The ebook reader has no lit surface, so you need sunlight (or something) to be able to read the text, just like in a real book. On your mobile, you have a backlight which might be more stressful for your eyes. For the best reading experience I would recommend a relatively large font on landscape mode, background color black, text color white (or a bit gray, #c8c8c8 or so ;) )
