I have made a CAB with the new Topaz comm manager and its applets.

Sometimes in the first install it requires to turn Wifi on and off from setting to get it grayed out.

I get a message that I lack sufficient permission. Any ideas? I've never gotten that before. Does this require a 21000 ROM?

+1 to this error. About halfway through the install (bars are at about 50%)
it gives me the ''does not have sufficient system permissions'' error.

Running a CDMA 21042 Diamond ROM.

NO it worked on 20000, in fact i am using it. Have you installed sdkcerts?

I am running NATF 4.5's, it installs but i can't get the advanced settings for wifi or phone, only the advanced options for bluetooth works. Tapping the center, or the far left side doesn't do anything for me on those two options.

OK, it it is not a cooked ROM you have to run the patch that allows to run unsigned software.

I installed the package on my stock rom AT&T Fuze. The main function works great. I was even able to use the Advanced Configuration utility to add the selectable 3G item. However, the only secondary page that works for me is the Blutooth page. All others just light up the item for a moment then shut it off---no secondary page displayed. Has anyone else had this issue?

do soft reset after install sdkcert then install the cab

i can get this to install just fine but no matter what i do i can not get the wifi to stay un greyed ?? i can get it to un gray for a min but as soon has i click it it greys out again until i toggle it in the wifi setting !! any ideas???

Is there any way to change the language of the communication manager. All I see in the cab are exe files and png's. How can I modify the EXE files? anyone?

It is 90% ported to QVGA, there is some image problems but it's do to resource code, that's where my expertise and the person who ported leave off, basically we can do graphic work.

Anybody wanna finish it off?

Well i installed after disconnecting from ActiveSync but it's the same problem with the software. Wifi refuses to work. Wish i know a workaround for this issue.

those of you with wvga use the wvga topaz comm manager.

the topaz commanager is a 8 program comm manager..

just add 2 more lines in reg and you can have internetsharing and vibrate as well.

Well, I cab get the Bluetooth page setting only. The Phone and Wifi setup does not work. But atleast better than the stock comm manager for Imate :)

Installed Comm Manager and it works great but in CClock, the SK2URL for Comm Mgr. brings up the default ugly Comm Manager in WM6.5. How do I edit it so that it can bring up this one? Thanks.

Same issue. Only Bluetooth working on Diamond (tried on Duttys 5.2 ROM ans SwiftBL 7.5). I figured out that the exe files that should be started after tapping Phone or WiFi (CMPhone, WiFiNetwork) give error message "The File 'xxx' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found."

When I try to run them from FileExplorer the system warns me, that the file is not signed and asks if I really want to run it. After that the error apears. So i'm not sure if the issue is lack of certificate. Anybody can help?

I'm having the same problems with not being able to open any of the property pages but Bluetooth. I'm using a Fuze with the newest HTC stock ROM.

I am running the stock WM6.1 HTC Touch Pro ROM on a Fuze device. I can't find a single Topaz/Rhodium Comm Manager that works correctly. With all of them, when I go into any of the menus from "Phone Settings" I get taken to the WM "Security" tab in the standard phone settings instead of going to the correct tab like say "Services" or "Band" etc... depending on which setting I want to access. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I tried to install your topaz manager in my vzw touch pro (raphael 500). My screen looks very bad and different from the pictures in your message, did I do something wrong?

I installed it after the sdkcerts, soft reset after because I am trying to install the Xda-tom_codon_CM_wifi internet sharing, which still doesn't work.

Now after installing your app, I can't go back to Comm Manager the way it was as it can't uninstall it. Any tips how to get it the way you show it or in its defect, how to uninstall it to return to previous state?

Guess it gets worst. Tried to reinstall it and gave me a permission error. Instal sdkcerts again, soft reset, tried installing topaz again and couldn't remove it it the process, chose to continue install, kind of goes to the end and tells you it was unsuccessfull.

bcs of the size of the icons and then misalignment on the lines and switches it looks like it is not for VGA screen, is there another cab file outthere? There was no question on screen size while first install.

Shit, I guess it runs in the background and therefore I'm not able to uninstall, but how to kill a program running in the background? Maybe google can help :P

Okay, got it exactly the same as written before.
1. Downloaded that tool: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-acbtaskman-v1-3.html
2. killed the process connmgr.exe
3. uninstalled the program the usual way

Hope it will work with your mobile phone, good luck!
