Ok. I have been having issues with aGPS on verizon. I flashed till my fingers were blue, tried QPST, valhalla on mr1 and mr2, and nothing works for me.
I called and had them replace my phone under warranty (they couldnt figure out why the data wasnt working heh) so I have a refurbd handset with mr2 straight from verizon. What should I try? Valhalla with the Telus settings ab or Valhalla with verizon settings cab?

I've been having the same trouble. I've tried MR1, MR2, valhalla, SUPL AGPS, etc. I've tried a dozen combinations of server IPs, server modes, etc. To sum it up, I've tried everything listed here and in ppcgeeks forums and nothing has worked. I'm in southern NY on Verizon Wireless.
Anyone have any luck who can help me out? I'm currently using MR2, but a new phone (under warranty) is on the way and I'm not sure what it'll have..

OK. Get this. I did a fresh flash to MR2 per verizon from the pdc site.
Then I only installed valhalla GPSserver. Nothing worked. No locks at all.
BUT, I signed up for verizons VZNav service and downloaded their installer. I am not getting locks within about 5 seconds. It has NEVER been this fast.

Are you surprised? Of course it works for them, they are the ones making it hard to lock. The phone should work automatically without hacks.

Well I meant that after I installed VZNav, I am able to get instant locks regardless of what program I use... Mobile XT, Mobile Maps, live search, GPSToday. They are all locking instantly after I signed up for VZNav.
I have also noticed that I have to "prime" the gps using vznav in order for the other programs to get a lock. Once its primed they will lock instantly. IF the phone goes into standby, they will not lock at all until I prime with vznav....then its back to instant locks

Sorry if I seemed short, it wasn't directed towards you. When you installed VZnav you installed drivers and settings that unlock your aGPS, I guess they figure that you can have unlocked GPS if you are paying them...greedy bastards, they really only want you to use their software, but I guess they think why lock it down any more than is necessary to get you working with their software. If you were to uninstall VZnav, all those quick locks would go away in short time (unless you use Telus, etc).
