I am a current Polaris user on T-Mobile. I am generally happy with the Polaris but am looking for the "next best thing", especially a bigger screen and 3G (T-Mobile flavor). Does anyone have any ideas based on what is coming down the track or should I stick with Polaris?

Hope this is not regarded as off topic.

I would say that the touch diamond 2, topaz (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=478)would be the best replacement as it is only just been released in europe in the past days and will soon hit the us when is not known i think

Also consider Touch HD if you're multimedia oriented.
I'm still not sure which one I'd choose, Diamond 2 or HD

Thanks for the advice. My problem is being a T-Mobile customer. I like the look of both the Diamond 2 and HD but may hold off until the Pharos 137 is released as it will handle T-Mobile.

Why would that be a problem?
Just go to the shop and... oh... you want to get it provider-locked?

I always bought my phones in manufacturer, not provider shop.
I like my phones unlocked (or, better to say, never locked to provider).

Bodisson. I always buy my phones unlocked too. It is just that I like my T-Mobile $19.99/mth unlimited data plan so would like a phone that can work on T-Mobile 3G. There are not many out there that do that at this point owing to the unique bandwidth occupied by T-Mobile 3G in the US. But I know the Pharos Traveler 137 will, and it is supposedly due out soon.

I will choose the coming Touch Pro2 for it's large screen, additional slide Keyboard & TV connection ability ;)

After a long thought on it i would say that the touch pro 2 is better due what d4rkkn16ht has listed and also that i was toying with the idea of getting a netbook. Now thinking about it if i had this then the reasons for a netbook really do get less, especially if the keyboard is as nice to type on as the early reviewers say
