Set it atop an empty 16oz styrofoam cup with the speaker facing the bottom of the cup. It sounds much richer, less tinny, and has deeper bass.

DSoundEnhanceri is the sexy prefix these days when it comes to PCs. Just as in the past X has had special significance in all sorts of fields. Jaguar didn't call their models XJ6, XJS etc for no reason. Similarly Microsoft Windows XP has a ring that Vista will never live up to IMO. If they named the device what it actually is, would you rather buy an iCup of a DCup:D
