post 4 is nice indeed, but cruise uses black font...do you know where 2 change that? would solve skinning problem :)

normally there should be some kind of color tag in the mui file, but i couldn't find it.. I've seen the white text on a polaris rom in QuickGPS tho... In one of the newer manilla roms, UDK, 3LIT3,.. :)

When the new rom is there, if i just save my cpr file on my pc, and put it back when i flashed the new rom, with all my custom things installed, will it all still be the same, or will i have to edit the registry again to put e.g. the quick launcher tabs back together...

I try to install NetCF3.5 but not complete it show Error stop all application and proceses,Maximize available strorage space,and run installation again.Support info 3.

I have try to reboot and reinstall a few time but still same error.My space it more than 50 MB both storage and program space.

well as its a program that you have to pay to use its not very logical to cook it in as it would waste space for those that will not buy it...so no SPB MS 3 will not be inclueded nor any other that requires one to pay to use it...only freeware and OEM will be cooked in...cheers

well its not suspended just delayed a few days...have to check some glitches and check the stability...its solid it seems...its just a quality check now...

meanwhile id like 4 u all 2 give me some input...could some of you post here the programs you all normally install so i can make/find a few more png/icons for them...
doing so will make it look good when you install them it on my rom...that would be great...just dont repeat programs...and since there are alot, ill probably only have time to do some of the most used around 25 more or so for now...

it should be possible to remove titanium home plugin but since it doesn't take as much space as M2D or MS3 i will not remove it...installing all that would make storage get smaller...but if that's all and you still have 30MB, you still have lots of space...cheers

When setting up e-mail, I can't select my Exchange server, only Internet e-mail and custom domain.

Is there a way to add an Exchange-server with this ROM?

Update: nevermind, I found it. It's strange, when setting up e-mail via the main menu it doesn't show Exchange as an option. When creating a new mail account via Messaging, it does!?

hehe, i've been searching a long time now :p never found it :) it is in a theme, but there is no cab :). It has something to do with editing the cpr, no one has made a cab for it yet, hope someone does tho

very nice rom pcarvalho, only one problem i jut bought a ony ericsson bhb pv720 bluetooth, but it does not seem to workit keeps disconnecting, i tested pdaviets rom and it works fine there, you think the drivers are cauing this? anything we can do to fix this. thanks

You can find this function in last Udk Rom (R8 beta 2), but also in Khanx 3.1 if i'm not wrong...

did you have radio 1.65.xx.xx on your polaris?

if so, its the radio version that is too high for the ROM...

dont know why but i had this problem too, i also tested one ROM that had a radio 1.65.xx.xx and it gave me that error...it even did not alow me to flash HTC original...that radio is not polaris or its too into the future i think :)

you will have to downgrade the radio only to 1.59 or 1.58...then all is good...

Important Note: if you have radio 1.65.xx.xx, downgrade radio 1st, as it will not allow you to any other ROM, i couldn't even flash official HTC ROM when i tryed a ROM with that radio

-start menu: donno if its supposed to be 4 rows, i got 3

-outlook live: its connecting endlessly - before and after i set up my hotmail account its always tries to connect but not moving to next screen
-i think pocket rar is better than winzip cause when big files winzip stuck
-wish all apps would be uninstallable cause there are many useless app to me like footprints, geoservice, navipanel, ezinput, winzip, youtube, dialer, google maps...
-i use opera 15529+flash 3.1 and i can see youtube and every other video in browser so youtube app is useless

in performance i dont see change from previous version

- taskbar has those cause new ones look too round (speaker looks funny), bad align is wm65 problem, believe me it was alot worse (battery icon was a few pixels on top of taskmanager)
- its suposed to have only 3, now you must customize to your liking
- the dialer is from jade (from rom newer than iolite, should have slider protector too will look into that), scroller bug is known on all htc dialers
- had same problem, unknown why (service maybe)
- will take that into account next time
- better wait till naked version is out
- its there cause its easier too use

- performance, in general very good, better than wm61, maybe final will be better (4 now its just beta)

I tried to use the defaul dialer from WM. The one that keeps poping. When the phone calls, the screen with sliders appears. Sliders work ok, but hardware buttons are disabled. Any way to enable it ?

The best ROM so far for Polaris. Speed is great. Icons include makes it pleasant to use. Calculator works great on mine also. Thank you.

that i think is "normal", and before that ram was not recovered, now, it seems to give the ram back... it had leaks...some modules in wm65 still have... beta software... you know :)

never had any error on those 2 and i use them every day...

if you installed weather, check in its thread if its normal behaviour, and if not, ask them for a possible solution....

For people who want to have the lock screen like S2U2, I attach the LS_LockScene_240x320.cpr file. Just copy it into windows folder with Total Commander or Resco Explorer.

For people who want to be able to lock the device from a mapped hardware button, I attach devilcelock cab. It simply creates a shortcut to Windows Lock.

For people who want a battery meter, the one attached works great and it seems to be the smallest/cleanest one.

Noticed this and also the response becomes quite slow like if you try to pause or play after a pause.....but if you switch to WMP window the buttons respond normally. did anyone try the audio manager titanium plugin??

I also had trouble downgrading radio from 1.65*, it looked I couldnt flash any other radio; I used this after trying several others: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485871 seems just some radios can be flashed instead of 1.65*, after that, I can flash any other radio / ROM with radio with no trouble at all, keep it as your "recovery" radio if you use 1.65 again ;).

Try again but first disable your antivirus software.Maybe that is the problem, or the file is corrupted..then you must download again.
And something else and important :your radio version??? if you have 1.65.xx version, then you must downgrade the radio first to 1.58.xx.

ok i have done a hard reset and have discoverd the problem i have with the phone not ringing only happens whenn the phone is locked when its unlocked the dialer apears and it rings straight away when its locked the phone lights up but stays on the lock screan for about 6 rings then i dialer appears but it apears disjointed some times and not smooth.

And something else and important :your radio version??? if you have 1.65.xx version, then you must downgrade the radio first to 1.58.xx.

if it says corrupted, its the 1.65 radio or similar...

Did you install the 3g dialer above the combo dialer?? did you change the local..settings in settings menu? If you want to go back, only with hard reset.

Yes you should i have the same problem see post above yours mine also has old dialer trying to apear but mine rings first time when the phone is not locked but when its locked it rings 6 times before the phone starts to ring. i also tried the other 6.5 rom on this sight and the same thing happens to that one as well. But must say i think this one is better over all but its all down to choice.

Thanks, but I already repeated installation, first cab, SR, second, SR, czech letters not recognized. Region is OK

Maybe suggestion, unistall 3Lite cab and over HTC combo install new keyboard cab, but which one ?, after the unistall HTC combo will go, I hope, just its kept by system, I think

I have realized that while in the messaging (emails) application the "Mark All as Read" function from the menu doesn't work.

For the rest works perfect, fast and smooth screen response.
Only minor problem is the memory usage of wmp. But assume that it will be fixed soon :)

This weekend had some time to kill so did the following and resolved my alarm problem.

backup data
restored to HTC 6.1 official version
hard reset
installed radio 1.58.25.14
hard reset
installed OS PCarvalho 6.5 1.60.21222
hard reset
and alarm was working as it should be
restored data
installed my additional programs :)

hope this will or give others an idea when they have 'funny' problems that others don't experience.

From Advance Config I disabled the Phone skin (the Iolite dialer) and by using the default win mo 6.5 dialer things tend to be a little more normal.

using it as i write (build 21231)...seems okay...problems with dialer discussed here still...but when phone locked only takes 3 rings 2 show iolite dialers (and standard dialer doesn't pop up)...gonna try 2 fix this delay...

Strange because i don't have any problems with the alarms.
Maybe the problem is the "notifications queue".
If you want you must try this:You must have any version of SKTOOLS.
Go to standard menu,then click to "notifications queue".
Click to "action" and then click"toggle checkboxes".
After that again click to "action" and then click "delete marked".
All the notifications has gone exept (i think) three of them.Never mind...close the sktools uncheck your allarms ,reset the device ,enable again the alarms,and thats all....Good luck if you want to try:)

I have 2 Polaris and installed your ROM in one of them so I've been testing it since 2 days ago. Until now it seems good to me and will be a promisorius excellent ROM. For example, among several things, I really like that when I dial a phone number quickly, the keypad doesn't get stucked, while this is not the case for the majority (if not every) of the other ROMs I've used before.

Nonetheless, I've noticed a few issues that IMHO are opportunities for improvement in the next ROM release:

1) I think that the current RADIO and/or Operating system + RADIO combination is not allowing the Polaris to get data connection speed to its full capability. The communication manager allows to activate only 3G (the icon never shows "H" for HSDPA). Although 3G is suppsosed to get a good data connection speed (I've noticed that the icon sometimes shows 3G+), I've tested your ROM data connection speed (http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?jisok=1) many times and in different places in my city but could not get a speed higher than 261 kbps (most sample speeds I got were much lower than that), while my other Polaris with a 1.65 Radio and WM6.1 ROM got speeds higher than 1000 kbps at the same testing time and locations.

2) Because of my thumb is not little, I am used to use the Compact Keyboard layout, although realized that at least in Internet Explorer neither the compact keyboard nor the phone keyboard layout allow to type anything inside web pages data entry box forms and at least when they are at ABC not T9 mode.

3) The Internet Explorer is not saving the favorites marked

4) The HTC Album does not use the Favorites Album as the default even when you explicitly changed. I've changed the favorite album folder to "\Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures" but when I open the Album again, it continue showing the \My Pictures folder in the Device. It seems that this change is effective only for the M2D Videos & Photos tab as I checked the change was made to the windows registry.

3) I've been trying, without success, to make the CHome My Photos to look at the pictures at my Storage Card instead of my device.

Other than the above mentioned issues, I think this is a very good ROM.

in file StartMenu_GridScreen_240x320.cpr

its readable, just have to make it better looking...

would show some layouts possible but am currently putting into mine more than 8500 sms just 2 see how it handles :D

my version 1.59 is still not up to my 1.58 standards...when it is, it will be out (the good is that in the meantime its getting upgraded too as 1.58) so as soon as its ok, it will be released with the lastest wm build out...

yes people have and no it does not work fine, at the moment pcarvalho is working on the 3.13 version that will allow you to hopefully use that and the 1.59.. radios.
