Hi, does that mean you had it done and working?
It's actually not directly about the ROM, but about the CPRs, right? And I know there's no documentation or SDK-like thing for Titanium, not yet...

Just trying to find some "experience", to avoid discovering America again ;)

no it isn't rom related, but if you say you replaced it correctly and it did not change, you did not do it as you should...else start menu should have started...on the 1st page there is a link to titanium tweaks...read it...sorry but i dont have the time to draw you the map to america :)

I changed the diler to the HTC Combo and that works fine.
I still have one issue:

When the device is locked and the screen off, alarms do not go off (the device doesn't wake up).

When the screen is on (whether device is locked or not) the alarm works.

You can just open your track in audio manager then click on menu then set as ringtone. Or you can put your song in windows\rings " best convert it to a wav file".

UPDATE: To make the screen bright while locked, use Advanced Config/Screen/Backlight lock level

@pcharvalho: you mentioned about playing with 3.xx drivers ? Did you included the 3D drivers in the test version ? I wonder if 3D driver do a difference in scrolling in titanium. SPB MS 3 works so smooth, but titanium still is laggy in all the roms I've tested.

no 3d if you want install them, there are no big improvements, titanium does not use opengl, so it will be as is now....

that is the default dialer...when one disables the skin its the original untouched dialer that pops up...

you dont get any dialer when you have it locked, just an answering or dismiss call...you cant dial...

Just copy the AlbumArtSmall.jpg from your pc. WMP doesn't sync album art for some reason. You could try this

it went on a diet (more storage)...
some programs were removed as they do not work yet (outlook live is one of them)...
removed iolite dialer (as it has problems)...and newer core...

yes i know...the diference is i use older drivers then the 3.13...i am making a newer patched version (3.13+1.60 to get 101MB of RAM) but its still has problems...in a week it will be out and will support 1.59 radios...

my rom's have come out with older drivers cause i have no radio problems (good gps/battery/network) and its my main rom...but i will take care of those with older radio problems...just give me time...

from what i've seen, 3.13, 3.18, 3.19 are all the same, only change is the numbers, they are 99% same...

1.31(polaris) and 1.60(kaiser) should folow same but i have not compared those...

I think it's a waste of time to make titanium work right. So you better find another interface to use with simple customizations . This is only my opinion :)

I didn't liked SPB 3.x. maybe it's just my case, but I always felt like I had to do 1-2 clicks more to get what I want, compaired to Manila 2D. I just installed M2D on this ROM and is smooth as silk. Works great. Titanium is laggy and nonergonomic.

Open the folder where your album is on your pc.
Make sure you can see hidden files "click tools, folder options, the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders".If you have got album art on wmp on your pc you should see AlbumArtSmall.jpg in the folder copy that to the album folder on your phone.

I use same programs, only instal Combo 3G dialer. But phone often stop working, only SR. Maybe I must reinstal this rom. I will try light edition :)

When I use opera, make photo or film, when I want to see it, sometimes on wifi but no reaction.
Now I will make HR and I will see that be.

had the same probelm ended up resetting about 3-4 times and leaving it for at least 5 minutes. there is no hardware issue as other ROMS work straight away.

issue with sending text messages. once I press send I get the following EM:

"Cannot recognise one or more recipients or the address is not valid. would you like to send anyway?"

WTF is going on? my contacts are correct yet I get this EM ALL the time.

I've had that problem before pcar... It's something to do with the names of the contacts. When you just press: Add Receipient, and then send, it works. But if you type a name, and then press send, it can fail. I've had that with my gf. She was called "<3 Chloé", and when I send the message, i got the error, when i didn't add her through ADD RECEIPIENTS

Interested in trying 6.5, but always a little nervous about what I'll get. Not because flashing it tough, it's always easy. Or because I'm worried about my data, since Outlook has rarely let me down. No, what I'm worried about is will I have the apps I want and need under the rom.

Currently, I'm using Scheckler's (sorry about the sp.) rom with only 2D. It's been quite stable, has the 12MB page file which keeps things pretty speeds, and allowed me to run QuickGPS and iGuidance 4, Opera, IE, and Skyfire, as well as including Internet Sharing for tethering my laptops, etc. (Running iGuidance 2009 now, and not needing a seperate app to run in the background for my nav software to run is awesome. Thank goodness that quirk is over! ;) )

That said, I don't install games on my Pocket PC. Never found any worth having. And as long as I can run CorePlayer for the occasional movie while stuck in a doctor's office or on a plane... I'm a happy guy.

Have had problems with meetings showing up correctly on my Today screen. Would love a screen shot of Today screen each of you are running if anyone has time. I keep hearing Titanium isn't very good, and some spb 3 is better. But I don't really know what that means... :rolleyes:

But I really appreciate these forums, and all the work pcarvalho and others are putting forth. Well done everyone, and have a great morning! :cool:

Open the folder where your album is on your pc.
Make sure you can see hidden files "click tools, folder options, the view tab, and check show hidden files and folders".If you have got album art on wmp on your pc you should see AlbumArtSmall.jpg in the folder copy that to the album folder on your phone.

hmmm,still cant get it..is the step mention are only for .wma files,mine all in .mp3 files.i dont know how to make the albumartsmall.jpg works on mp3,usually in m2d i use mp3tag..

I keep hearing Titanium isn't very good, and some spb 3 is better. But I don't really know what that means... :rolleyes:

SPB 3 is SPB Mobile Shell 3 (http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/), NOT FREE, and it in my opinion better than manilla 2D, dont know about titanium as i havent had time in the past weeks to flash anything (dam exams!) but it looks nice just not that intuitive amazing as it could have been.

Also @pcarvalho :D to the 3.19 release, only wish i had time to play with it! But as they say thats life.

taskbar icons in this rom are old square wm6.1 & battery/clock not aligned, maybe its just me but its first thing i notice everytime i use phone so it bugs me...... in pdaviet 21234 the icons are new rounded wm6.5 but battery icon is customized with percents & also not aligned - is it bug in wm6.5 build?

file scrolling in file explorer is definetly faster with pdaviet rom but after installing openvg driver it looks the same.

is there reason why you use opera 15319? i always use 15529 cause it works with flash 3.1 & i can see any video inside browser

I've been using this ROM all the day and I really like it. The only problem I have is that if I turn the wifi off, then I can't reconnect automatically. I need first to remove the settings and then reconnect typing the WPA key again.

The wifi uses WPA2-AES and the radio is the one from the ROM. 1.58.25.14.

Any idea? Should I try a different radio? I don't even know if the wifi is related to the radio version.

yes battery misaligned is a "bug" in all wm65...and as i said before i dont like the new taskbar icons (sorry but i really dont)...

i see no diference in file scrolling and i tested it with lots of files...

Around 40 seconds until M2D starts. It's not really a problem or a long time.
Around 135 seconds from boot start to M2D start.
I wonder if removing HTC animation would decrease boot time.

Really nice job! I only have one question. Where i can adjust the lockscreen brightness. In the daytime its pretty hard to see the lockscreen because its too dark.

just a few tweaks for now...its about the same...

1.60 will be dropped (unless many request it) as the new 3.19 uses 1.60 2D, has same amount of storage/ram (as current 1.60), plus it enables the use of new radios (with similar performance as 1.58 radios)...

just search the net for icon packs (e.g. Cem Icon Pack)... you will find plenty. Than use ReStart to change the icons...

tf3d is stopped since 3d drivers dont allow sleep of device...

i dont even use 3d drivers in rom cause it just doesn't pay to have...

unless you have a very large number of files it sould not happen...
i have yet not seen such behaviour (i have over 350 files in root of memory card, so i think it should lockedup every time if it was a problem)...

Quando vou a navegar para uma pasta (com 15 ficheiros, a ultima em que me aconteceu isso) as vezes o explorador faz com que o telemovel congele por 15 segundos ou mais... Se quiseres reproduzir o problema pede-me todas as informacoes que precisares.

Sometimes I have the top taskbar colored as the default theme, sometimes is black as it should be. But it's not bothering. The dialer suits all of my needs. Scrooling is smooth. Bluetooth and WiFi works great. It's the first time I am pleased of my device. Thank you very much for this wonderfull piece of work.

Yes, but as mentioned on thread you'll have problems with it... scolling in dialer is buggy, wake up from sleep when Lock is buggy... it's pretty unusable.

yes it is...PPCPimBackup will do that for you (contacts, sms, email, plus some more options) and it is included in this rom so every time you have to flash a new one you can backup all data before doing so...

I really only have one question/suggestion/request: can you include a landscape full QWERTY keyboard in your next ROM? thanks for that bug report, its probably because htc scroll is disabled to allow microsofts to work, will check this out, meanwhile use scrollbar...cheers

you couldn't cause its a module and not a file...

I have downloaded this WM 6.5 rom and tested it. 1st of all i want to thank pcarvalho for cooking this fantastic wm6.5 rom for polaris. this rom is very stable and fast, the honeycomb scrolling is very smooth and opera 9.5 is working perfectly!!!

However, i have to switch back to wm6.1 coz Mapking R12 not working, it can be installed but failed to load. i guess this is coz of compatibility issue...
besides, i'm not able change the regional settings to Chinese, and i'm not able to install CE-Star which support chinese characters.

overall i love this rom for the stability and speed, also for the beautiful interface compared to wm 6.1. i don't really use the titanium today plugin as i prefer m2d which is more practical for daily use to me.

My first impression after PDAViet rom....

Very good... EXCellent... and more stable... but i sens it less compatible with old softwares (S2U2 1.37... the setting wont open and hung!!!) and a little but very little slower.

the Camera works fine! better image than the PDAViet...

The only problem is the Radio 1.59.46.12 is sucking my battery very very fast...

I changed for 1.65.30.09 and now everything back to normal!

yes it does work as on videos...you tap once on lock key then a sms drops down and you slide that one to open up in messages...

Hey, I have a similar problem! Always got the error message when I tried to sign in to Windows Live with my username or password even though Internet Explorer, Opera and so on can all connect to the internet. After that, I installed an older version of Windows Live which allowed to me check my emails, however, Live Messenger no longer opens.

What I end up using, which works fairly well, is Happy Tapping. Unfortunately the best skin for it is the iPhone skin, but at least I have a decent keyboard in landscape.

I must say that I find it kind a strange that live was able to synchronize the contact list, but after that he isn't able to sign in.

I tried 1.60 before and I found it good, except it was a little buggy with Manilla.

From visual and personal point of view I prefer HTC iolite dialer and Manilla over Titanium. Maybe you could consider next cook make without Titanium cooked in. Also I noticed that in 3.19 build menu list is small and compact like in old WM6.1. Did you change something as in 1.60 space between rows in menu list was large. I found it more finger friendly that way. Is there easy way to convert back to previous menu style? I will do some more testing.

People mention some troubles with win life connections. I've experienced same connection troubles with 1.60, like win life was connecting only through 3G and could not sync through WiFi. Same with Opera, but in 3.19 so far all works fine.

Otherwise great cook. I would say nearly perfect to my taste. Contiune this way ;)

I guess this can be done with a setting somewhere, but in the May 11th version the size of the menus was larger and more 'finger friendly' than the menus in the latest version. Can I change it somewhre so that the larger menus will come back?

I increased the font size in adv. config, but that didn't do it.

HKLM is a key in the registry...open taskmanager (system tools) select registry and search that key and make it like that...

After flashed this ROM, I am using Asukal - CJK, you can view Chinese, Korea, Japanese and Thai too :)..

As for MapKing, I will try to install on my cruise tonight and see any problem on this ROM. I no longer use Mapking cos I find Garmin XT is much better than MapKing :P..

My perception that if we have 3D driver then the video display/rendering on cruise can be better when we do video playback or watch youtube.... :D

I was trying out with the 3g dialer and cannot find a good one. Then I hit into a problem that my battery show 100% in the TODAY but actual fact my battery already flat (receive the low bat notification). Then, I try to charge it but fail. Thus, I have to soft reset in order to get the charging working.. Not sure if this is Microsoft problem :D...
