View Full Version : Delete ESN data and disable phone?

I have a Verizon 6800 (Titan) but am now on Sprint with a Touch Pro. I would like to turn the old titan into a fancy bedside chumby-type device, and since apparently Verizon phones can't run on Sprint's network (as a backup), I'd like to delete all my ESN data off it and disable the phone capabilities entirely if possible. I know I can just put it in Flight mode, but I'd like it so it doesn't attempt to authenticate with my information in the event it accidentally goes back into phone mode.

Is there any software that can do this?

Also, is there any way to run the phone with no battery while plugged in? If I try to plug it in with no battery I get a red light and it won't turn on. It's not really a big deal, but I have paranoia of the phone battery randomly exploding while I'm not there after being trickle charged for months.

Thanks!

I don't know about deleting ESN data, and as you said, turning the phone part off is already the most you can do. You could open up EPST and delete all data in there, so that it has no network to register to. And no, this phone is incapable of running directly off of AC power.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I can't seem to run EPST. I just flashed dcd 4.1.2 and whenever I run EPST from the windows dir it immediately exits. I have tried turning the phone on and off and soft resetting.

Look for a software called CDMA Workshop with it you can edit and change all of the settings but first of all you have to be sure that you have super CID ed the phone and its totally unlocked before u can really edit it.

You can change the ESN with QPST I believe

Just change it to a bunch of 0's or delete it completely
