let say we have a basic and standard shipped polaris, i wonder how if we want to uninstall or update the preinstalled unecessary programs like adobe reader, ZIp, etc.... (let say we have better ones or recent ones)

well we could try to just install the new versions and hope they replace the old ones.....

of course best option is to uninstall the old versions, however if the applications you are looking to replace are 'cooked in' and don't appear in the remove programs list (under settings > system) then that will be very difficult.
