nice rom, i tried both G and S and they dont detect my battery life in % like others

I've found a little cab that changes the battery icon to one with a percentage.
It's not that pretty, but is seems to be rather lightweight, so it fits the rest of the rom ;)

hi,

i downloaded the BSB 6.5.1G nbh, copied it to RUU-SSPL-withoutNBH folder that has a RUU (i had to do this because this does not come with a RUU) and ran the RUU tool. The device screen goes black and on the PC it goes to the screen that shows the progress bar. however, the progress bar never goes beyond 0% and the device screen stays black for ever until RUU timeouts and gives the following error: ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR.

FYI, I have applies HardSPL 1.09.

Can someone please tell me how i can flash to this ROM?

I open the camera, take a photo, klik send via MMS, than dialog that the photo is too big a needs to be resized appears and when I click yes, nothing happens, but after a couple of minutes camera crashes and leaves the backlight to maximum values (I am using auto backlight).

Is there any way to make this working by installing some cab or so?

It seems to working normally when sending from the gallery, so it is only case when using camera.

By the way, thank you for your rom, I tried almost every well known but your is still the best (maybe forever will be) and no other ROM could change it this time :-)

I also find some unwanted behavior of the calendar popup (where I am choosing when the task starts or ends or reminder goos on)

When I tap on the date nothing happens or only borders of the field disappears. To popup the calendar I have to tap and hold and when still holding move the finger to the area with the month name and now release the finger. Than it works as usual. If I release the finger at the white field of calendar with the date list, calendar popup immediately disappears and the date where I release my finger is selected.

Don't you know why this strange behaviour of the calendar popup occurs and how to correct it?

It is the same after the clean installation of the ROM (using MTTY) so It doesn't seems to be some app compatibility issue...

Vibration is not working when connection established. I ve changed from sound and notifications menu but nothing happens. The ROM is very nice ram consumption even with tfd is normal. I think I need some registry tricks. It will be nice if someone posts all vibration related registry options.

i try it b4 basic CE support. The BasicSupport.cab will replace or installs a WinCE.nls (1.26MB) and FontPMingLiu.cab can show the chiness font. But the chinese (HK,PRC,TW,Singapore) region still can't shown in region.

Battery life depends on many factors:
1) intensive use, in this case 1 day or less is normal for the diamond
2) Radio version
3) Age of the battery itself
etc...

The taskmanager is in place..just search this thread.

Yes the rom it is not very fast, but anyway it is faster than the originals.

Project is closed, no more updates, the author is developing hd2 roms now.

you can't, just install your swype or fingerkeyboard or whatever you want and then select it using start-settings-personal-input from the dropdown menu.

I use BsB 6.5.1G rom and everything works great except g-config or BSB tweak, and programs are of the same author. If anyone knows me what the problem is. Whatever i put in autorotation apps dont work.

Battery setting is deleted after upgrade. You need set up turn off(=only display) device after 1 minute.

I found one bug in the BsB 6.5.1G ROM.

When we write a message, with ezinput, in Phone Keypad version, with dictionary ON, and we write a new word to be added to the dictionary, the word isn't added!!!

And why does this version of Phone Keypad has arrows at the bottom of the keyboard !?!?!?

The only functionality for this arrows is to consume more space from the screen!!

Anyone knows how to solve this keyboard problem?

And with all I just get one stripe in stead of full receipt.

Just set wireless advanced settings to "best performance" instead of "best battery". Hardspl has no effect on it.

After a lot of tying I'm setteling for radio 1.08.25.20. Seems to be working best in Holland on Vodafone network using the BSB 6.5.1G. Hope this helps some of you!

Guys, the flash light notification seems to be set to infinite. This feature is draining my battery fast. Tried some registry hack to un gray the flash light for box but whatever i do, i still can't disable it. It seems that the rom is overiding the registry. any ideas?

Hi, if you still need it:

go to: Start/system/PHM resistry editor
go to: Tools/find
enter (search field): 'new text message' (exact)
tick: 'Data'
-> search:

you will find inside a folder with a name like this: A877D65B-239... (many of them, which are used for MMS, email... notification)

click on 'Availableoption' key (the first) and change the value (from 11 for me) to 0

OK, close and then you should be able to enable/disable this option

- fast (plenty of free ram)
- relyable (no crashes or freezes within 1 month)
- functional (everything is working fine and fast)
- no power draining (accu lasts for about 3 days when powerusing)

this rom is so much faster than the original htc roms or any other wm 6.1 roms i've tested.

1) Settings/Home - uncheck Home timeout: this should cause that everytime you turn your display on you will see your application regardless the time of device sleep.

2)Use nueDynamicClock to add your application profile to not to sleep if your application is running - but this will probably drain your battery fast..

Be carefull to do this, if you change the name of the Internal storage this way, it prevents CAMERA from saving taken photos to this internal storage. That means the camera is only able to save the photos in the "always full" Main memory!!!

So I think better is to use Opera 10 or Mini instead of build in 9.7...

Flash HardSPL 1.93 Olinex to unlock the phone for unofficial roms, copy the downloaded diamimg.nbh file to the Interna storage root, format the memory by MTTY, flash the ROM...

All details here on the XDA, try to use search on the top of every page... Everything is documented on the forum...

My problem is that I cannot have access to this page, the browser says (I tried built in opera and ie) that your operator is not supported. The funny things is that on other roms (back to basics and other) and other phones it works like a charm. Also on the other roms I have tried and it worked I have used the same cab for connection setup.
Where is the problem ?

Opera mobile doesn't work very smooth on this rom (consumes to much memory). I installed Opera Mini and it works like a charm (even with multiple tabs open).
I am unable to completely remove opera mobile, so if you are planning a next release, you could replace it by opera mini :-)

I have installed the wm 6.5 rom but the igo8.3 is not working on it - even it did on all previous ones. Is there a bug with the ROM? I did hard reset but not became better..

I've noticed if i turn the sound and vibration off, it's still vibrating when i get an incoming call. Can i turn if off somehow or is it a bug?

Ok guys I have installed this rom more than twice and every time there is a huge battery drain in the beginning but later on somehow the problem gets solved. Same happened this time, but now I tried all the options one at a time. I am suspecting that if you turn off the following 3 options. Battery time might improve.

1. Turn off HSPDA
2. Turn off Beam
3. Turn off 3G

After turning these 3 options off my battery life increased to 3 times to what it was (approx. 2 days). Hope this helps. Good luck.

I own an HD2 since one year but i still keep Diamond alive as a 2nd device available. I never stopped looking for a better ROM since then, but couldn't find an alternative to BsB.

The beast can boot with more than 60MB free RAM if you let it run with Titanium only. I agree that Sense interface with colourful custom icons and a custom taskbar create all a very beautiful homepage but Diamond's RAM is very low to keep all these beauties in peace with our memory hungry programs.

So, viva BsB + Titanium for something really useable.

And please don't forget to notify people like me if you can find any other rom with higher free memory.

Hi, i ve been using this ROM till my diam died and worked for me well. But i Think it's devel has been interrupted .... and it's possible that no kitchen actually exist for it :-/ ....

Hello all!

After alot of testing and flashing different ROMs, i chose this one (BsB 6.5.1G) for my diamond, because i need wm 6.5.x, titanium only and lots of free RAM for applications.

This ROM fits my needs and works very good for me,
but i have one problem left.

Inside some fullscreen applications, for Example java games in Esmertec JBED,
or 3d Games and even inside some navigation programs, i can´t use the
software input panel (SIP, Software Keyboard).

I have set long press call button to open the input panel, so i can use the software keyboard inside programs that dont show the windows bars.

For example in TibiaME, i always used that method to login or chat.

But since i flashed this ROM, the keyboard shows for a second and closes / hides itself again.
It wont stay in front so i could type.

This makes it impossible to play any java fullscreen online game.

When i used this ROM:
[ROM+KIT]Fodd Sense[12/12/2010][WM6.5][UC][Sense 2.1/2.5.2019][WWE/DEU/ITA/NLD/ESN]
i didnt have any problems using the input panel inside java games.
Also, on my old Prophet i never experienced this problem.

It would be nice, if anyone who is using this ROM could check if the keyboard stays inside esmertec jbed when running a fullscreen midlet. (inside the midlet/game).

I tried different versions of Esmertec JBED and other different
native windows mobile apps. Some allow the keyboard to show others not,
none of the JBED versions worked, so its not a problem related to the midlet manager.
It even works in the program list inside jbed, but if i start the midlet and it goes into fullscreen mode, the keyboard directly disappears after showing for a sec, leaving the screen-size changed, so i can see a small part of the homescreen.

Maybe this problem can be solved by using any input manager?
(inside Fodd Sense ROM, the input changer was activated / installed,
but on my Prophet it worked without any additional software).

I´d be glad if you have any advices or could check if that error appears on your device.
I really need the sip inside java midlets :(

For java midlets, i now use the following workaround:
-JBlend for "windowed" midlets, windows-bars visible, any SIP working.

-Esmertec Jbed 20090506.2.1 for midlets that don´t need a SIP, like Final Fantasy.
For me, only swype works in fullscreen-mode.

-JRebeiro_Esmertec_Jbed_-_Build_20071119.3.1 for online games that need SIP and fullscreen-mode.
Any SIP working in fullscreen mode. Build is outdated, but allows SIP to stay in foreground.

I´m still looking for volunteers to check this on different devices. Still no solution for windows native applications.

This is relatively off-topic, but i like for example: TibiaME, any Final Fantasy (i.e FF Legend), alot of Racing and arcade games / clones, Rhynn, World of Dragons... there are so many. Just make sure the resolution isn´t too low, then most of them are playable.
