Found the Solution haha when ever you add an appointment to the calander what ever the subject of the appointment is it shows the name above the icon on the calendar panel try it out you will see what i mean i think thats why its blank and doesnt have calendar written above.

I am not sure if I quite get this. What did you change to make it display the appointment on the front page (CHOME). Can you please post a picture and the changes you did? TIA

Because the question was how to make the calendar panel show the next actual appointment instead of just saying 'Calendar' when it is not selected/in focus.

No one has the original Opera cab of this rom? I installed a new version, but it was qvga and now I have removed it but there's still the icon of Opera mobile in "Connections" but it quits before it opens the home page... I don't want to hard reset....

Abusalza - I find V8 to be a great ROM so far. So far would consider it a long-term solid one at that! :D

I know there seems to be more requests of personal wants, than actual bugs. Not seeing too many rants, proving it's a solid ROM. I've seen some folks wanting additional apps included in base rom, or different versions/types of apps. In a way, I think there is too many, but certainly NONE of them get in my way, nor is there anything that I can't take the effort and just install on my own.

I went back the trusty Opal Dialer; I can install MS Voice Cmd if I want, many other things - but nothing that will just make it be "THE BEST EVER and EVER ROM" if I could get you to cook them in the rom so I didn't have to install them. :rolleyes:

The power is in the base of the build - not soo much of what I personally want for preinstalled applications. Otherwise, it really becomes kind of a 'bloatware' issue that many hate when you get a phone from a provider and they shove it on you. This is a bit different, cuz many cooked roms (especially abu's) have great suite of apps, and fit into many people's uses. I've always heard rom's work better if you cab install them after flash, rather than to cook them in - could be just someone ones biased opinion.

So anyway - I think you have a great rom - take some time off!! :D :cool:

OK, As they say, "Picture is worth 1000s of words". I see now what you are saying. If I keep the calendar panel IN FOCUS, then I can see the item, but the key is to be able to see the appointment even when calendar panel is not on focus.
Just like any other panel. for example, even if you dont have the weather panel in focus, you can still see the temperature and if it is sunny or cloudy. But if the calendar panel is out of focus, you only see the word "Calendar" which defeats the purpose. I (and many other) wish to see next appointment on the calendar panel even if it is out of focus. Does that make sense?

Just kidding... I honestly appreciate the activity of this ROM, rolling a new version so far on almost a weekly basis.

I think it would be better if the ROM is more stable and bug free than throwing new ingredients to the pot and hope for the best.

Just saw that V8 was posted. Have it downloaded, but have to wait, as i used v7 with SPL 3.29 and Radio 1.70.18.02 most of Friday afternoon, and my battery tanked.

Has anyone else encountered battery issues with this SPL & Radio? If you have, have they been corrected with the flash of V8?

i also have battery issues. a 30 minute phone call from 100% and im down to 60%. i used 1.71.09.01 then switched to 1.70.19.09 because some people said that they arent having battery problems with this radio some pages back.

battery life is exactly the same for me. i think its a wm6.5 thing. i used others like josh and anryls and i experienced poor battery life on all wm6.5 roms. i used abu's 6.1 for months and the battery is almost twice as strong.

Thats what i thought and have spent ages trying to change it i can change every other plug-in name but this one and to make matters worse its called CAPPOINTMENTS NOT CALENDAR strange maybe ABS can change it :)

Don't take it wrong, but I post here some minor points. Just to help get this rom better (okay, the topics can also be related only to my HTC)!

1) If I connect to my home network via Wi-Fi (via start -> settings -> connections -> Wi-Fi) than I do not see the connection being active in comm manager, while I have full connection (and a icon in the upper bar).

2) I can a notification that I have email, after deleting the emails (email box empty) it still shows the notification. Only when I go to the email account and push send receive it removes the notification.

And a question:

Can I change the Today window.. I can choose windows default but I can not remove the favorite people for example.

Yes. Use the CHome Editor in the Tools Folder. On the bottom right is a "Enable / Disable" pull down menu. I don't have my phone to hand but I'm fairly sure that's it. It's not in the Settings/Today tab where you'd expect it to be as what your looking at is a non-os plugin for the Today screen and not the Today screen itself. Hope that makes sence.

Hi, one thing i noticed, when i receive a call i cannot silence the call by moving the side scroll wheel down. This is a very convinient feature to have. It helps while travelling or when in sunlight.

i feel this was reported on X series, but now i am hooked to X2......

hey guys,
a couple problems I thought I'd share. If I can't fix some of them I'll need to flash to a different rom..:(

LUFC = Thanks dude, but even using it installed on my kaiser, it didn't work. I set the "volume up" and "volume down" buttons to work adjusting volume up and down, and I still have the same problem. The problems is exactly what mikeeey told on his problem 1.

Hey everyone, I updated my KeepMyTones progam today. It works flawless on Abu's Rom. You can now Save all the Contact Ringtone and Sounds & Notification Settings to an XML file of your choosing. As long as Abu doesn't change the list of Events then it will work on all versions. It works for me. Saves me a bunch of time when i Flash to new versions. The link is in my signature below.

Just flashed a latest 6.5 to my tilt.
Not real happy with the Messenger app. You seem to loose a LOT of usable space and then it is in a micro font.....
Only displays about 4 messages on the screen.

Then you look and there is no view option to change the zoom level or font size......

Is this all we got???

Any fix guys?

I have used X2V8 now for several days, but I have big problems. I have reinstalled it from scratch, but problems remain.

1) I do not like CHOME, so I always revert to Manila (but this in't the rootcause of my problems, because I hace also tried CHOME)
2) At intermittent times the phone starts working irratically. In such a way that you cannot start an application or do any interaction. Sounds lik a memoryleak.
3) When I softreset the phone it either reboots and I will get a window with some kind of XML error or it does a hard reset and I loose all settings.

I have used many of the PDACorner roms, but this one has created a lot of problems for me.

Think I'll go back to the X series. I do not like CHOME, so WM6.5 is wasted for me.

Sorry about your problems, but they have noting to do with the rom.

I have used this rom with M2d since it's release and have had not one problem with it.

You need to figure out what it is about " your " phone that is not playing nice with this rom. Try different spl's and radio combos. And try to find what it is about your apps or the order in which you install them that may be affecting your phone

Also, ( even though I never do ) try flashing a stock rom first, and Hard resetting after the flash. Many people swear by that as a way to preclude problems.

i read in this forum that you could send text twice if you exit the messaging application while the text is still being sent.

including messaging in the "exceptions" list in an application like pbar.exe (or some other app) negates this from happening. try to see if this works. i do it every time i change ROMs.

Great Rom so far. I have had one issue with text sending twice. Was wondering if there was going to be a lite or naked ver, but keeping ms voice command, Overall Another great rom from one of the greats.

Hi i asked this question some pages ago but i think it wasn't clear.
Did anyone tried to restore his SMS messages with PIM backup?
When i did this on a fresh v8 install it didn't work. It said it restored my messages but the inbox was empty. The backup came from v7.

After switching to classic view all my old messages are visible. But when i switch back to threaded i only see 1 message (probably the message that came in last) ???

I just reflashed my TYTNII with v8 again and restored my text messages and have them all in my inbox etc.

Somehow I think this ROM is sucking down the battery like crazy. I charged it fully last night and now it is around noon here and the battery is down to 10%.
I only had few calls this morning and they did not last very long. So something is not right. I am getting the feeling it has something to do with Bluetooth.

I know WM6.5 uses more power than 6.1, but I love Abu's Roms and I have using his WM6.5 Roms since V2. But none of them used this much battery. Anybody else is experiencing the same?

I have been running V8 for a few days I guess, and haven't seen anything unusual with battery life. Runs all day w/BT enabled and uses about 35% from full. If I have a long >2hour call it will use about 40%. One thing I know for a fact, my battery is 3 years old and needs to be replaced. So, my numbers may not be the best measure of battery life.

the only problem I am having is with the dialer. Usually when I start to dial it brings up my contacts. say i am looking for my brother anthony hitting 2(a) 6(n) it will scroll to his name. Not a big problem though.

I'm about to flash v8, but wanted to note in v7 the only bug that affected use (for me) was a lack of kinetic scrolling in rsshub. Whenever you were actually reading an article, it would shift to text selection.
Hard resets, and even reflashes didn't affect it.

after almost 3 days of using X2.V8, i'd like to report the following feedback:
1. battery drain exists but not as much as some of the other winmo6.5 ROMs i've used (i used TPC's Elite ROM series earlier). i am currently using spl 3.34 and radio 1.70.19.09. the battery life is still acceptable but i miss the battery performance of winmo6.1 ROMs

2. my backlight dim timeout keeps reverting to "10 seconds" every now and then. i change it to "30 seconds" and after a few cycles of standby/wakeup, it changes back to "10 seconds". i'm not sure if the problem existed from the start but i think it started after i installed chobit's smartlock 1.7e and/or windows live messenger 10.6.0053.1000. on chobit's smartlock, i have enabled "WM6.5 new lock", "Suspend lock", "Incall lock", and "Outcall connected lock". the automatic locking works just fine as expected. can anyone confirm my theory to help pinpoint which of the two might be causing the issue? or does the issue exist from a fresh flash? or is it some other application that is known to cause the issue?

other than the above two issues, X2.V8 is an EXCELLENT ROM.

on a side note, TPC just got his hands on some new packages from the upcoming HTC "Mega"...including a new winmo6.5 test build (21932), a very very new and different manila2d, a new dialer, and a lot of other goodies! i'm certain abusalza will also have a new ROM using these packages soon! attention flashaholics! brace yourselves for a new wave of ROMs! :D

I had the same issue with X2.V6 but after I flashed to V8 it disapeared. I have only been running this for a few days, and don't have all of my software loaded. I will let you know if the issue surfaces... You might try a hard reset w/o installing software and see if it still exists...

Thanks. I'm seeing the same thing. I tried the 70 and 71 radio. This skin fixes it. I also had tried disabling the Phone Skin (with advanced config) -> didn't help.

I wonder why most peple are not having this problem ? I wonder it it would have helped to use advanced config to disable/reboot/renable the new skin?

As a side note: Advanced Config has a submenu to mess with the comm manager screen. Playing with this caused me only problems.

V8 bugs:
1. scroll bar (on the right) in messages sometimes hides/is over words/letters on the far right (this happens in every other email for me) (posted screenshots twice for v7 a while back but no reply)
2. bottom status bar sometimes hides/is over the lowest item in file explorer (as if you weren't scrolled down all the way but you are)
3. The zoom in IE is set to levels that are not meant for the Tilt (totally zoomed out is actually 100% ... zooming in goes to 800% or something like it)
4. The microphone seems to be set to a really low level (people complain that I sound very, very far away/volume is really low) - this also applies to voice command where I basically need to scream to get it to work
5. phone volume level - the volume on the Dutty rom I had before was much louder: 100% volume on this ROM equates to maybe 60% volume on the previous ROM. I am often in noise environments, so need a louder volume.
6. Opera is horrible and keeps CRASHING! Surf for 5 minutes => device soft resets.
7. On the home screen (with CHome) there sometimes is a weird overlay going on as if multiple tiles are on top of each other - scrolling through the whole list resolves it but it is very annoying (will post screenshots tonight)

Improvements?
- change the default sounds for alarm, add vibrate and make the sound repeat
- I also prefer the sound notifications from WM6.1 for new emails and calendar reminders.
- add MS voice command
- CHOME should display the actual appointment/meeting in you calendar instead of displaying the word "Calendar".
- don't include opera - if at all, let people install their own version of opera.

Question:
- is there a way to change the quick launch programs? how/where?
- is there a way to make calendar actually show the next appointment instead of saying 'Calendar'

Experiencing none of the problems you report. Could be hardware or a botched install. Check HardSPL is 3.34. Did you flashed a stock ATT rom before flashing the X2-v8? Also, Reza recommends a version 1.7x radio with the X2 roms. After flash, hard reset again after removing memory card. Both Opera and IE work just fine -- I use both daily because RSS defaults to Opera and I'm too lazy to port my favorites from IE, so I use it too. MS Voice Command is copyrighted but available out on the net. Using any of the tweak applications KaiserTweak (google for it) or the included Advanced Config will modify notifications. You can also edit the registry with the included RegEdit program.

Hey everyone im new to the rom world n i just flash abu's Ultimate x2-V8 with the hardspl and the radio n everything is running great i have no major problems with it but after playing around with it for a few days i noticed sumthing that botherd me after a while conserning the wifi and activsync... first is the wifi it runs great but when i connect it with my ac charger or my laptop it closes my signal as if it was connecting thru activesync or sumn an second is when i was trying to connect my computer with the kaiser as a wifi modem it woudnt let me and i cant seem to know how with the new rom is this happend to any of u out thea or is it just me....please help a noob like me out i will much apreaciate the help and abu ur the greatest this rom is by far the very best ive seen on the web, thank u in advance to all.

the only problem I am having is with the dialer. Usually when I start to dial it brings up my contacts. say i am looking for my brother anthony hitting 2(a) 6(n) it will scroll to his name. Not a big problem though.

Im a user from latinamerica. I try this rom with 1.70 and 1.71 radio, and try with other ones, in fact better gps/phone/3G and medium battery life goes to 1.65.16.25 (works for me in my country/phone operator).

In my experience (i tell it for my own case):

1.65 nice phone / excellent gps/ nice wifi/ excellent 3G/ nice batt.
1.70: nice phone/ nice gps/ far away wifi/ horrible 3G. Nice batt.
1.71: excellent phone/ nice gps / nice wifi / 3G far away but drain batt .

It is easy to add/remove items but it is extremely difficult to customize panels within each item. Is there an alternative to CHome?

One important feature that is missing in the new Titanium interface is the recently used (or currently open) programs. I can always use the menu on top right but it not always convinent.

For now, I have switched back to Manila.

you will find the cab here disable m2d before install
performance is little better uses little less ram,wallpaper not working.

I found google sync would regularly stop working on 6.1 anyway so moved away from it and used myphone

Real shame though as I can get my google calendar and contacts through my works firewall but not myphone

after almost 3 days of using X2.V8, i'd like to report the following feedback:
1. battery drain exists but not as much as some of the other winmo6.5 ROMs i've used (i used TPC's Elite ROM series earlier). i am currently using spl 3.34 and radio 1.70.19.09. the battery life is still acceptable but i miss the battery performance of winmo6.1 ROMs

2. my backlight dim timeout keeps reverting to "10 seconds" every now and then. i change it to "30 seconds" and after a few cycles of standby/wakeup, it changes back to "10 seconds". i'm not sure if the problem existed from the start but i think it started after i installed chobit's smartlock 1.7e and/or windows live messenger 10.6.0053.1000. on chobit's smartlock, i have enabled "WM6.5 new lock", "Suspend lock", "Incall lock", and "Outcall connected lock". the automatic locking works just fine as expected. can anyone confirm my theory to help pinpoint which of the two might be causing the issue? or does the issue exist from a fresh flash? or is it some other application that is known to cause the issue?

other than the above two issues, X2.V8 is an EXCELLENT ROM.

on a side note, TPC just got his hands on some new packages from the upcoming HTC "Mega"...including a new winmo6.5 test build (21932), a very very new and different manila2d, a new dialer, and a lot of other goodies! i'm certain abusalza will also have a new ROM using these packages soon! attention flashaholics! brace yourselves for a new wave of ROMs! :D

to answer my own question about point 2 in the quoted post, the offending application is indeed chobit's smartlock! (confirmed by first uninstalling it altogether...then by reinstalling it but by disabling all of its automatic locking functionality)

i love the functionality that chobit's smartlock delivers (showing the slide to unlock screen when you wake up the device) so i have found a workaround that is somewhat equivalent. essentially, simply disabling your device's backlight timeout prevents smartlock from messing with it in the first place. the caveat is that now the backlight will never dim but its all good as long as you have set a standby timeout.

I did this today too as I was having various lock ups/hangs and BT issues with 1.70 radios. the 18.02 had outstanding battery but connection speed is super slow at best. 24.36 has been reliable all day batt life seems comparible. Switching to the Opal dialer was a huge fix for the most part.

From what I understand of the "which radio stack is best for you" arguement is that it is very specific to what country you are in and what network you are on (and even in some countries, where abouts you are in that country).
So the only real solution is to try all of them and test them all out.

check in My Documents\Themes\Titanium System Panel and look for pics with numbers as names, ie 10,20,30, etc. somehow those have gotten deleted im guessing. this is the first time ive heard of this happening, are you sure you didnt make any other changes after flashing the rom?

i have seen this when images for the icon set are not in the specified folder. If Spil is the icon set for weather, see if you have the images in \program files\titaniumweather\spil folder. if not, there are icon cabs around. not sure why they would not be there on a new install though...
this would apply for any icon set selected

- Switched over to 1.70.18.02, couldn't receive, but could make calls.

- Then over to 1.70.19.09, made/received calls fine, can't connect to my email.

Seems AOL is now working as it should. Must have been something specific with that then.

I've loved both TPC's and Josh's latest ROMs due to their finger-friendy-ness, but both were giving me wacky sync issues creating hundreds of blank contacts, tasks, etc. This one syncs great... so far.

Yeah its a issue with the phone canvas. There are some posted on here that work better :)

here ya go, just drop this in your program files. also to get rid of red "x" in email notifications, just setup another email act(can be fake) then delete it you will get that icon back as well.

I created the 2nd email account and copied the files to program files and to themes. It did not help. The email icon came back but disappeared after I did a soft reset. I also noticed that the same icons are already in the windows directory. I am not sure what needs to be done now.

windows directory? they dont go in windows lol they go in program files/titanium system panel i already had the folder labeled for you just have to put it in the right place. the email thing did work, you just had to soft reset to see the effects as you will have to do the same with the pics after you drop them in the right folder.

No, it is not possible to change the language of a ROM.
You should search for an italian ROM (like Shifu or TiR). They both have very good italian cooked ROMs for Kaiser.

I was on a plane for about 3 hours on Monday. Enabled airplane mode when I sat down, disabled when we landed. The radio came on normally, synced with exchange, no issues. I will check it again tomorrow when I fly home.

You just need a new canvas. There is one mentioned here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4235496&postcount=2622) that works.

have you tried adjusting text size from Start, Settings, System, Screen? granted the setting will affect text size in nearly all aplications but its worth a shot

I had this same problem of my TILT freezing and when doing a soft reset it caused a flash rom re-load until I took the advice of loading a standard rom (I used a ATT stripped rom on my TILT), then hard resetting twice, then loading the X2V8 rom, and again hard resetting twice. Since then it's been clean and very stable!

Also, the radio 1710901 seemed to be draining my battery faster than it should, so I re-loaded radio 1701909 (which before had given me too low audio volume) and after a total of 4 hard-resets (including 2 on the X2V8 ROM) even this radio was working quite well and the battery now appears to drain slower and the volume is loud!

... the point here is that flashing a standard ROM, then doing several hard-resets then flashing your new ROM and again doing 2 hard resets seems to clear whatever causes any instability or lingering erratic behavior! I just wish I knew why, but it really does do the trick!

I did copy your folder you sent to the programs directory. I will delete the files in the windows directory to see what happens. After I did a soft reset on the phone I had to create an email account again to get the email icon back. Thanks for all your help.

Update: I was unable to delete the files, they are in the ROM.


PROBLEM SOLVED: The icon dilemma is over. Here is what I had to do to fix it. I copied system panel icons to \My Documents\Theme\Titanium System Panel\. I then had to rename the t10 - t100 png file names to 10 - 100 (ie 10.png, 20.png) This fixed the system icon issue. I was also having a problem syncing files. This turned out to be a problem with memstatus.exe being in the \My Documents\Theme\Titanium System Panel\ folder. This turned out to be the folder the program was running from therefore it was not able to synchronize the file. I deleted the file and changed the shortcut in the \Windows\Startup folder to use the exe file in the windows folder. AAfter doing this no icon or sync issues.

I have also experienced similar problems. No problem with the battery tho' the tilt just freezes and does an automatic hard reset upon rebooting. I have never had this problem until I started loading 6.5 ROMs without a stock ROM first. I was using both PDA 2.7 (no problems) & TCP V9 (no problems). I got by with doing the first reload (TCP) w/out stock ROM, it was great. But afterward, I tried PDA 2.v8 w/out stock reflash and things went down hill. I tried the TCP ROM again (w/out stock) it also did the did the freeze / hard reset thing. I have used both HSPL 3.29 and HSPL 3.34 (current) on TCP and PDA with no problems (so I think). I keep reading these posts about no problems with no stock reflash, and I like the idea. But so far, with my phone, sd card, and extra software, flashing the stock ROM seems the way to go. I have had speed, stability, good battery life with PDA, TCP, and Phoenix III upon doing the the stock ROM first. When I went off that path, it wasn't long before the problem emerged.

The Stripped ROM never worked for me, I experienced hard Resets with it.
With the Full ATT Rom, then Radio, then Ultimate I have had no problems.
(two phones, maybe 4 or 5 different versions by now)

Although I really think the trick is flashing from the SD card.

If I woke up and found my tilt like that I would be a bit on the frantic side too, coffee or no coffee.

I have been running V8 for about a week, with NO sync errors or dupe appointments. I sync 100's of time a day via exchange push and a few times a day with the USB cable.

I recommend you do a hard reset and re-sync your tilt to the source. Also make sure you have the latest activesync from M$.

With my two phones I noticed that they both acted differently even when on the same version. I can only assume that it's because they both connect to different Exchange Servers running different versions.

Maybe this will make more sense if we keep track of what problems and what version of Exchange.

XP PC running ActiveSync 4.5 (which is the latest according to the MS site), with Outlook 2003 (not syncing directly with the Exchange server either, just basically syncing contacts, calendar, & tasks).

Will do another hard reset (hell, I think I'll do 2!), but at this point, I'd better do a backup, as I've lost all my appointments in my PC, but they are still in my Tilt. Looks as if the whole sync operation is failing completely. :( I'm going to run a repair on my ActiveSync software, too... just in case. :rolleyes:

One cup down, need at least one more... :D

I think my tilt gets the biggest sync workout I can think of.
1. M$ push direct to exchange 2007 (mail, calendar, tasks)
2. Local sync to my work laptop via USB (contacts, files)
3. Local sync to my home PC via USB (contacts, files, media)

All three work fine. I agree with Debbie, Hard reset is essential to clear up strange behavior.

Time to go get on a plane and test the 'aircraft mode' question from yesterday. :D

okay thanks. It repeated this again yesterday. I went into comm manager and i could not turn airplane mode off or the phone(change phone settings) on. Why do we need a change phone settings switch?? again the flight mode works for a short time but i had flight mode on for 11 hours yesterday and after finishing work I, agian could not turn it off?

Only issue with x2.v8 is with the dialer.

The Call button or the phone key on the device itself doesn't work with the keypad showing. I need to hide the keypad and then navigate to my contacts.

Also, the keypad is not linked to my contacts and there is not selection for contacts from the phone application.

Not a big deal. It was just something I wasn't expecting.\

It seems that I now have sync success! :D The multi-hard-reset thing actually WORKED. Real test will be when I try synching with my Vista/Device Center machine at home, and then sync back with this machine next week. LOL!

Seems I'll be adding the multi-hard-reset practice into my regular rotation from now on. I just might have to try Josh's and Shane's ROMs again to be sure. ;)

I see what you mean.
I used the suggested one in the earlier posts and it works fine except for Landscape.

A call came in while I was in landscape and all I had was a black screen with a partial Name on it. Switched to Portrait and everything was fine.

Guess it's time to experiment with other ones as well.

Anyone try the new SkyFire with V8 or do we still need to use the old version?

It seems if I don't hang the phone up myself by pressing the bluetooth problem, all audio is lost as the phone thinks the bluetooth is still "on"... the sound doesn't come back unless i call someone else and hang it up myself or press the bluetooth button to bring up the cyberon voice commander (in which the minute i press it and cyberon comes on, i hear the 3 beeps that happen when someone hangs up the phone)

Debbie, Make SURE you are not syncing the same items from more than one place, this WILL create duplicate entries. For example if you sync contacts from one source don't sync it from another!

@Reza, you are the master chef, you put whatever you think is best in the ROM. I wouldn't expect to go to a 5 star restaurant and tell the chef what to put in his dish, and I would do bodily harm to anyone who did the same in my kitchen. :eek:

So, if you want to do mega, do mega, if you want to do black, do black. People will complain no matter what you chose, so give it your best shot.

This user appreciates your efforts, no matter what color the fonts, screen, icons etc are.

I think a lot of folks here get caught up in the appearance of the ROMs and fail to see the real work in creating the ROM itself.

I like the 6.5 ROMs except for one thing: My email is set to check a POP3 account every 5 minutes. When it does, it launches messaging. In the 6.1 ROMs, the messaging stayed in the background when checking for email. Is there a setting I'm missing?

If you want a smooth phone that doesn't hard reset itself in the middle of a call, its better to always flash a stock ROM before flashing a new ROM. Listen to the Master Chefs don't do it the easier way. Clean you plate before serving a different meal.:D:D:D

Can you not change VALUE to 0 if its on 1 and change screen to go off in 10 secs in settings will that not work for you :)

If you use the 'green' dialer as listed a few posts back that was the previous dialer that needs a panel slid down before the screen buttons work

Only flaw is that dialer has the bluetooth headset disconnect prompt which is why Abu changed it.

yup i am using threaded messages. It never seemed to be a problem in the past. problem only started since v8. Also it seems i am receiving messages late now too. messages that were sent last night i only received this morning.

I just noticed that when i make a call it does not ring the other phone till i hear the 3rd ring and same with incoming calls. Mine does the same thing. I thought is was just a carrier issue, but I have learned to deal with it. If there is a fix for it that would be amazing.

Interesting to hear about text issues, I have been getting them in the wrong order (some a day late) or not at all but had put it down to either my wife's provider O2 (uk) or mine Three UK.

Re: Rings

Even my nokia 6300 would ring in the ear piece twice or 3 times before the call connected to a landline / mobile so not sure what can be done there!

I dont know about the Translation.. but flashing the stock rom is flashing the rom that comes default with your phone before flashing to one of these custom roms... For the most part, we all use the stock ATT rom, flash it, let it install and customize fully, hard reset, customize fully, then flash one of the roms here from the chefs.

Hi friend. Its recommended by the chef, hard spl 3.34 and radios 1.7XX. (but you can try another combo, see the FAQ post...i think # 2 or #3...).
I use mine with SPL 3.29 and 1.65.16.15 radio and works great.:)

You can keep your 3.29 (works for me in my 2 kaisers). BUT...you have to read the noobs post: and dont forget to hard reset always before and after flash any rom. And more important (chefs suggestions)..flash the stock rom to avoid hard reset troubles.

Read before my friend...and you will be happy with you new rom.

- launching volume control by long press side "OK" button

For Me, the volume control on the long press side ok button is intermittant.

1) If Touchflo is running it seems to work every other time.
2) If Crome (or heritage Today) is running, it takes me to start, then works the 2nd (or 3rd) time.

Oh well, once the new Notification manager is disabled, I can get there by tapping the speaker.

Now I'm looking for the hack to separate the ringer from system volume.
