Just my 2 cents:

I love this ROM! It is fast and, most importantly, stable as hell. I have installed all ROMs available as of the time of this post and this is, by far, my favorite.

My only beef: I hate that the dialer does not have the little fold-down protector to keep me from pressing mute, speaker, etc., with my cheek! The included dialer is hella-sexy, but I do wish it had that little fold-down dealie.

- using dialer from mega and fix almost all issue regarding with it.
- fix vibrate issue (dialer key and when connecting, also on manila tab)
- manila tab now smooth scroling.

Personally I think the Opal Canvas is the best functioning and the most user friendly. Unfortunately none of the cabs I found except for this one worked well with this rom. It does not look like the opal as the keys are different but the functionality is there and landscape is not an issue aside from repainting glitches. I think joshkoss made it so thanks to him as it was on his thread. I am attaching just in case.

Yes, lovely news :) I hove the change of the dialer will get me able to save contacts. And I like the new look of the new XIP though someone said the alignment of the softkeys looked weid. I think the X button at the bottom should be more comfortable for finger touch ;)

lol this is EXACTLY what I have done. I'm not on the AT&T stock rom, a very terrible rom I must say... o does it lack so many features... however video playback is amazing. surprisingly faster than abu's rom (he mentioned that v10 should have faster scrolling on manilla now, I assume that means he fixed the drivers)

If you have flashed stock between 6.1 and 6.5 (x2 v8) then surely you dont have to flash stock again between v8, v9 and v10??

The choice is yours but all the Cooks recommend it. If you have issues you should flash stock and follow the hard reset steps before asking for help. I followed each step from the Noob Guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835) and have not had any problems so far.

Certainly! You can flash ANY rom for the Kaiser. See my sig "Hitchhiker's guide" for a link.

Almost EVERY person that I have seen on either this or TPC's thread with severe problems (not minor bugs in the rom), finally flashed the OEM and it fixed their problems. The problems are NOT limited to the move from wm6.1 to wm6.5 - instead, there are major changes between BUILDS within 6.5.

No one can MAKE you do anything. However, it *IS* necessary if you want to have a trouble-free flash.

BTW, one primary issue of NOT flashing the OEM is that everything works well for a while (after flashing a new custom rom) but after a while, they start having HARD resets take place without any obvious reason. That means ALL your data/configuration is LOST and it is just like you just flashed the rom again. If you have that happen a couple of times, you will NEVER flash custom without FIRST flashing OEM!!

I am also a flashaholic :) But the problem is I've never flashed stock ROM, just went directly to any ROMs I liked and I haven't crossed by any bad flash or crash. I still don't know what will happen next and why we need to flash back to stock ROM all the time like what you are doing. Could you tell me the problem I may get? Maybe I will flash stock ROM today to prepare for v10 :)

And finally can anyone help give me a link to a good stock ROM? Are there many version or just one version? WM6.5? Thanks.

It is the HTC original ROM for the TILT - my understanding is that it will work for you. If not, on www.htc.com it looks like they have stock ROMs for other phones.

Check out the link in my sig (hitchhiker's guide) for some good links and a bit of instructions about flashing.

The reason that you flash an OEM rom first is to allow it to go through "clearing the storage" (quote from the ATT357 rom's configuration setup.) This will clear out any "leftovers" from any previous rom you may have flashed. You should allow the OEM rom to go through that clearing function before you do a HARD reset and then flash the custom rom. I hope this helps.

BTW, you did not specify if your phone is a Tilt or an HTC branded device. That tells you WHICH of the OEM roms to flash. If it is a Tilt, you should always use the ATT357 rom as your stock/oem rom. My guide has links to both versions.

no need to downgrade.
CLIK UNCHECK, go to START-SETTINGS-SOUND&NOTIFICATIONS-tab NOTIFICATION - chose event : Messaging;New Text Message...here, uncheck Display message on screen.

Just an easy answer, after you flash a new ROM, browse your SD Card with File Explorer and run the programmes. It they runs normally, you just keep on using them and do not need to reinstall. If the programmes request some files or just come up with a warning that you cannot run, so you have to reinstall. That's the rule ;)

As Iced Coffee already mentioned, you don't always need to reinstall. After you make a list of the programs that do NOT need re-installation, you can save yourself a lot of time if you use Total Command and create a folder on your SD card (I call it Card Files). Then INSIDE that folder, create shortcuts to all of the SD card programs in your list (above.) You can create folders (use the same names as the default Start Menu/Programs folders) and move selected shortcuts into them. E.G., move all the game shortcuts into the folder Card Files/Games. Then when you flash a new rom, just copy all of the contents of Card Files into the (device) Start Menu/Programs folder and they will all be available immediately!

Aren't some of those games COMMERCIAL? If so, they should NOT be shared. I believe that constitutes WAREZ which are FORBIDDEN on this site! If they are indeed freeware, even then, you have to abide by the author's distribution agreement which generally REQUIRES that you distribute the entire archive.

Please check these carefully and if any of them are restricted, you should delete the file and edit your posts to eliminate any links to warez.

Sorry to hear about the crash. I know from experience that when you run out of disk space, it trashes a LOT OF STUFF in windoz. I hope you can get a new drive soon and that you can recover all of your files.

You should upgrade HardSPL to at least 3.29, and your radio to at least 1.65.xx.xx to use this (or any 6.5) ROM. The links to the HardSPL rollup thread and Ultimate Radio thread should be in the sticky at the top of this forum.

wow im gettin raped sideways here. i flashed to stock rom but apparently the one i flash kicked it back to 1.65 radio and 3.56 spl. but now that i try to flash from my SD or the usb, it jus gets stuck. on the usb it gets stuck at 0%. and on the sd card it gets stuck at the loading screen. wth?!:mad:

Try using your stock radio with the new rom. I have had no problems with my stock 1.65.21.18 radio with PDACorner roms.

2. maybe you are talking about opera 9.5 :D. anyway you just need to change path on manila registry entries ( i was forgoten but i'll tell you later)

Great catch - I did not even notice that and I have made several calls so far. Good thing I was using speed dials!

For those who don't know, the dialer backspace should be located in the upper right-hand corner of the dialer - in the area where the numbers are being displayed as you type them in. Just tap on that little black area to the right of the number and you will get the backspace function.

On the TPC Roms there is a program you can use that downloads a bunch of HTC updates. Does that exist in this ROM? I've looked all over the menu's for it but don't find it.

If it dies again, I am going to flash back the stock ROM and wait to see what Reza says about the issues we're experiencing. It may be that the new OS build is a bit more buggy than he thought....

try this, it has worked for me.
press fn + OK button in qwerty keyboard. so that wifi will be opened or should be closed.
after that goto comm.manager and look at the wifi it should be enabled.

Hello all,

As you can see this is my first time ever posting in this forum, though I've followed a few threads over the years.

Firstly I would like to thank abusalza for the outstandingly beautiful rom. I'm a tech junky (as are most we all, I assume). And PDACorner UltimateX2 satisfies my wants/needs for something pretty (semi above most other things), and highly functional. And with my new AT&T Tilt, having wm 6.5 just because I can. I've been following the thread for the last couple of weeks and had V9 flashed, without any loss of functionality. IMO it worked a lot better then the AT&T stock rom, with the exception of the battery drain, which I think was about the same on the stock.

So again thanks for the rom abusalza.


I have a question though for anyone that can answer. I have been trying for the past couple weeks to get the native VOIP working on my phone to work with my Asterisk server. I first tried on V9 and when I was unsuccessful, I thought it might be the limitaions of the rom, but then I tried with the stock AT&T 6.1 rom I flashed today, just before flashing V10, and still no success. I've been using the WM6VoIP.CAB (ftp://xda:xda@ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/WMXL_Support_Files/WM6VoIP.CAB) and SIP Config Tool V 2.0.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303493) I found around the forums. I've gotten the internet calling to display on the today screen, which says "Available", but I can not seem to click it to Connect or say anything else, by either fingure touch or soft keys. If anyone has gotten VOIP to successfully work with this rom, the native M$ VOIP client, and an asterisk server, please point me in the right direction or help me with a few pointers. I want to use the native client if I can. Maybe I need to use different drivers or some setting in the phone need to change because I'm connecting from within my home network? I've done a lot of searching the forums and can't seem to come up with something solid for this.

If I chose long date format, part of it is hidden under alarm status – just like on screenshot 2 on post #1.

How can I change the clock back to UltimateX2 V1 with date and provider on top and alarm status inside the digital clock.

Tried to change with latest M2DC the themes and clock – the result was shifted clock picture.

You can't. To access volume control you have to disable enhanced notifications. Shifu posted 2 cabs in his 6.5 thread. One to disable notifications and the other to add large title bar. Don't know if it will work on this rom but you can try. Long press OK button working fine for volume adjustments.

Dont know about the clock, but post 96 or 97 here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=516142&page=3) shows how you can adjust the long date so that it does not overlap.

Use Advanced Config and look under Miscelleaneous, you will see an option to change the date in Manila...

2. My wifi worked great at home and at work - connected with no problems. :)

3. Love the new XDA Shutdown feature! :)

4. Battery life is awesome compared to V9. I used to watch the battery % go down when using wifi - now it lasts MUCH longer! :)

5. AT&T Navigator ran great and locked on signal quickly. :)

6. Email setup was flawless on both MS Exchange Server and POP accounts :)

7. I wish I could change the default browser on the "Internet" page to be IE instead of Opera. Anyone help?

8. One problem I am getting is on restarts, I get the alert message: "The file 'boot' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." I can cancel the message and everything seems to work okay with the rest of the features, but obviously something is not right. How do I go about reinstalling or restoring this file? I was hoping to be able to do this without reflashing if possible. Any ideas?

Hello everyone! Thanks PDACorner's cooker for updating new version frequently

But everytime i upgraded my old PDACorner room to new PDAC room's update, i have to re-install my softwares again, it wastes a lot of time to reinstall them. So, is there any solution for me to upgrade room but still keep softwares without being deleted. (or how to restore them as quick as posible)

Ok i hope a few of you are still up. I flashed the new version. Did all the proper steps like always but when i did the final hard reset the phone no longer boots. I have tried everything to get this to boot. I can get it to hard reset again but as soon as i push the 'send' button to boot it basically turns off. Anyone have any clue how to fix this. I flashed using USB b/c i could not get it to flash from the SD. Everytime i held the camera it would go to the Tricolor screen then flash white with some writing for 1 second and back to the tricolor screen. I really need my phone back up and running at this point i dont know what to try. Any ideas gang?

try formating your SDcard with card reader with fat32 format.

It could be. WinXP wants you to have at least 10% free (I prefer 15%+) So in your case you should have at 8gb if you have an 80gb drive. Have you tried going through and uninstalling old programs. I uninstalled a few games i never play anymore and freed up almost 3.5 gb. Also do a scan for any rouge temp folders that may have useless data that can go. There is a program called CCleaner that does a good job of finding that junk and its free.

EDIT: It was a bad flash. Everything is running now. Will test over night for any problems. After i install your HotFix of Course. Keep up the good work, and i should have a new version of KeepMyTones coming out before your next Build.

It could be. WinXP wants you to have at least 10% free (I prefer 15%+) So in your case you should have at 8gb if you have an 80gb drive. Have you tried going through and uninstalling old programs. I uninstalled a few games i never play anymore and freed up almost 3.5 gb. Also do a scan for any rouge temp folders that may have useless data that can go. There is a program called CCleaner that does a good job of finding that junk and its free.

EDIT: It was a bad flash. Everything is running now. Will test over night for any problems. After i install your HotFix of Course. Keep up the good work, and i should have a new version of KeepMyTones coming out before your next Build.

yeah i guess it. i had deleting some of useless programs but still have about 300mb left... lol now i can't download anything more than 50mb's till i got new hdd. hahaha...

anyway thanks for all donators. that's all really appreciated :D

But everytime i upgraded my old PDACorner room to new PDAC room's update, i have to re-install my softwares again, it wastes a lot of time to reinstall them. So, is there any solution for me to upgrade room but still keep softwares without being deleted. (or how to restore them as quick as posible)

you can try "Install Express" or you can install your programs into Storage Card and most of the programs don't require reinstallatioin after ROM upgrade. you'll just have to copy the shortcuts into windows\startmenu\programs.

There is no way to edit the first entry in the Speed Dial list. Subsequent entries can be edited, but not the first?!?!? I believe that it was the same in V9.

Might be another one for the (short) list of things to look at, please Abu? ;)

I installed the skin to the Device (using the CAB file you attached) but it doesn't change the look. Are you saying there is a way to stop the original keyboard layout. I thought just installing the CAB file would do the trick. Is there something other than installing the CAB and soft booting that I am supposed to do? Thanks for your help!!

I followed the advice posted in this thread with V9 to obtain a battery percentage on the taskbar ("NumBattery.cab"), but it does not seem to work with V10. Any idea on how to do this?

Also, tapping on the loudspeaker icon in the taskbar does not open the volume control screen (was also part of the fix with the battery percentage indicator, named "Sarcy's Restore dual volume control.cab"). I have also tried pressing the side OK button twice and/or long, but no volume control screen appears as stated in the thread. How can I set this up again?

Try just holding the "OK" button on the left side for about 2-3 seconds. That should bring up the volume selection.

The "NumBattery.cab" did not work for me in .V10 either, however.....

Do a search for "PDA_Corner_Battery_Icon_percents.cab". It is linked somewhere in this thread. I used it and it shows the battery in % - plus it gives you cool colored icons. :)

EDIT: Make sure to soft reboot afterward.

It works only sometimes - still does not work from the Today screen. But doing it a number of times eventually brings up the Volume screen... Not ideal, but possible (with a little frustration) :rolleyes:

1. I cannot click using my finger or stylus all the option in the screen, it looks like being lock.

2. Setup Wizard ran but stock also in option 'cancel' & 'next'.

I am just having strange issues with media player. No album art and now I discover that I can't sync subscription music. I've alway been able to do that before via WMP. Now I get messages saying from WMP on my PC saying the player is not valid. something to do with it's ability to honor licensed content.

I did do a search and some say that something was possibly left out of the "cooking" process. Not sure but I thought I'd ask.

I hate to compare but on the TPC Rom's I've used this has always worked so something is different here.

Don't know if it can be fixed but it's worth asking. Other than that, my Tilt is running beautifully.

it used to be a smooth video on V1 series of ROM but with V2 video always runs with slow frames. i also noticed that smoothness come back when i am touching the volume or if activesync is progressing.

can this be fixed? can mediaplayer be set to run smoothly irrespectively like in V1 series?

I used to be that i could select 5 minutes, 15, 1 hour, 1 day, etc. when a reminder popped up. Now i just seem to get a default Snooze or Dismiss...no options for how long i'd like to "Snooze". Would be nice to have those options again...or am i just missing something?

Great ROM.. Two questions:

1) Can I get a Stock (or Money) Tab on M2D
2) When I get email pushed to me from Windows Live and I'm running Chome, the 'Messaging' application opens and doesn't close. By that I mean, the taskbar says "Messaging" instead of "Start" and there is an X where the Task Manager dropdown is and all of the titanium apps are still visible.

I have got to check that out! Unfortunately, I don't have the $100 for the software to create cabs but I think I read that there is a freeware app.

Try Start/Settings/System/Advanced Config and under the Miscellaneous folder, the option is called (surprise!) "Manila 2d date format."

For that key to appear, you might need to change the format in "Settings>System>Regional Settings>Date" first. That will create it if needed.

EDIT: This might come in handy too;
d = day number as in 1 thr 9
dd = day number as in 01 thru 31
ddd = day name as in Mon, Tue Wed
dddd = day name as in Monday, Tuesday etc
M = Month number 1 thru 12
MMM = month name as in Jun, Sep, Oct
MMMM = Month Name as in September October etc.
yy = year as in 09 ... etc
yyyy = year as in 2009

When I receive or make a call when connected I now have to turn the volume knob to get the sound working.

Two things:

1. When an alarm goes off the snooze button does not offer options for how long to snooze.

2. When clicking at the top of the screen on the speaker icon it does not bring up volume, it only brings up the notification screen.

umm...maybe its because default titanium doenst have the plugins you are wanting :) the default titanium is exactly like it sounds....DEFAULT titanium, nothing added. the only way you can have other plugins with the default titanium is to install them yourself.

yes, thats what im saying...they are included in my chome not the default. if you want them on the default they have to be installed.

im not sure to be honest, ive never tried it. make sure you have it set to default titanium before you install and just see what happens i guess :)

Just had an interesting Issue... I used the phone all day and drained the battery down to 18%. Pluged it into my pc for a couple of minutes to Sync at work before I went home and the battery went to 100%

There is NO Way it charged in 5-10 minutes... Did a soft-reset and it still showed 100%

Any recomendations? Will it continue to take a charge if it thinks the batter is at capacity?

BTW - Love the ROM... Battery life in general is Improved.. Very stable...

There appears to be a memory leak. After a few hours there is no available storage memory and a hard reset is all that will recover. I am going back to V9. I flashed an ATT stock rom prior to this. I believe the memory leak is also related to the battery drain.
