I have used all versions of the ABU. The V11, only lacks the MOTOHOME and CHROME works well. It has the ideal screen sensitivity, as many useful applications, the most delicate design meets many types of keyboards. Its the best. :)

Great ROM as always. Good job, Reza. I have been running it for couple of days now and everything seems to be working great. But I noticed that the battery is draining a lot faster than V10. Especially when you are using bluetooth headset. I charged the phone last night and was listening to music through bluetooth this morning and I noticed the batter went down to 24% in about an hour.

Loving the ROM so far, thanks so much Abu. However, if I select MOTO Home, I cannot add any programs to the program buttons. In fact, when I select "all programs" or anything that would list the programs installed....there is a blank screen. If I go back to Touchflo all the programs are listed and are able to be selected and assigned shortcuts on the programs tab. Am i doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the MOTO home interface? Thanks for any light anyone can shed.

Abu, this is the first one of your ROMs I've tried (V11) and it's great.... I was using Garmin's DK series before, but I think I've found a new favourite!!

There's a couple of things I've noticed (and yes, I've followed the instructions in post #1 :D).... not sure if anyone else has seen them, but a search of this thread didn't find anything?

1. Sometimes, dragging the scrollbars downwards makes the window scroll downwards instead of upwards :o If you take your finger/stylus off the scrollbar and then put it back on again, it scrolls correctly....
2. I set a PIN code on my phone (to stop my kids getting their hands on my phone and playing bubble breaker till the battery goes flat!). I used a simple PIN - 6 digits - but when I came to use the phone this morning, the PIN was not accepted. There was no error message or anything, but I entered the PIN and tapped the unlock button but nothing happened!! The phone stayed locked, even after a soft reset it still did not work and the only way out was a hard reset :(

I am now living without a PIN lock, for fear of not being able to get back into it.... I really don't want to have to hard reset and re-install everything when I wake up each morning!!

Any suggestions gratefully received - and keep up the great work!!

Try modifying your account settings on the phone. This was the first time I had to manually edit POP and SMTP server addresses to set up my phone's Outlook mail. Check your gmail settings from a web browser for the information.

There is no Chome in v11. Abu is making another v11 with chome, so you have to be a bit patient for that version

This morning after using v11 from day 1, I noticed the bug appearing again after using a GPS software (iGo and Garmin). The phone now is very slow again and kind of non-responsive.
Until x2.v9 except for the occassional battery screen popping up, everything was working fine, but with versions 10 and 11 the "bug" appeared, so my conclusion is that it is not the gps software but something wrong with versions 10 and 11. Anyone else with this problem? Going back to x2.v9.
P.S. I did follow all the rules when putting i the new 6.5 ROMS.

I also get the slowness and unresponsiveness after a day or so on v10 and now v11 as well and have reflashed back to the STD ROM and hard reset and followed the usual sequence. But I have not been using GPS! Just last night I tried going from DS SPL v3.34 to v3.56 to see if it's the SPL... and this morning it's already acting sluggish... I otherwise love Abu's ROMs, but if the 6.5 versions keep doing this I just don't know what to do...

I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I have a 2006 Mercedes C-Class and the phonebook has issue downloading sometimes. If I restart the phone it loads fine but most of the time it won't download or work handsfree. When it is trying to connect to my phone the phone locks up to a standstill like it's trying hard to download the info, but it's getting stuck for some reason. If I restart the phone it downloads are works perfectly. Is there some kind of corrupt data in the contacts? Or is there some kind of secruity blocking it from letting the car download the contacts?

I have been a long time user of the Ultimate X ROMs.

I loved most of them. X11 is no different.

I am encountering an issue with this ROM though that I NEED to remedy.
I use my phone for work, and it is my primary home line.

My phone hard resets randomly. I use it as an alarm clock for the mornings, and ever since flashing X11, the phone MIGHT hard reset overnight, thus canceling my alarms and uninstalling any apps I use.

This is a BIG problem.

The procedure I went through to flash the ROM to the phone is as follows:
Phone stats: HardSPL 3.34, Radio 1.71.09.01 All flashes done from USB cable.

Phone had v9 on it.
Flashed to standard HTC 6.1 ROM (Most recent build straight from HTC)
This included the radio in the ROM. Not sure which radio it downgraded to, but it was a 1.6x version.

Flashed to v11.
Let Phone go through full setup procedure at the beginning.
Hard reset.
Flashed 1.71.09.01 radio.
Hard reset.

Installed all software. Verified functionality. Phone worked great.

Phone hard reset that night. When it came back up, encountered an XML error from a file in the Windows folder.
Hard reset the phone again.
Phone worked for most of the day, then hard reset around dinner time.
Same XML error came up.
Hard reset the phone again, and flashed the HTC ROM again.
I then reflashed v11.

I am still having the same issue. I have removed and reseated the battery, the SIM card and the SD Card. The phone is about 16 months old.

Flashed AthineOS (most recent build) and it works great, no hard resets.

I am back on X11, it has not reset on me, but I am worried about it.

with v9 mine was super fast with garmin software after that i had slowness issue . obviously there is something wrong because other users also experiance the same thing

its strange but i faced the same problem...
infact i observed tht there was some junk character file created in Windows folder of approx 256 MB and i cant see any folders in Windows, and then after the fone wont start up and have to Hard reset.

In the past we have put the strange Hard Resets to the STOCK ROM not Flashing right or make sure you hard reset whilst stock ROM is loaded make sure you do Hard Reset whilst V11 is loaded and its best to Flash from SD Card if you do all that it seems to solve the random Hard Reset problem :)

I had the same thing happen to me today. I did the flash to stock rom, hard reset after that and the new v11, flashed from the sd card, etc. I did everything exactly the way it has been recommended. However, it still hard reset today, had that xml error come up, had to hard reset again, after which it finally booted up, but has not been the same since. So, rather than risk another episode, I guess I will just flash to something more stable and watch the thread for clues and updates. I really like abu's roms, so I can't wait for an update, hopefully it will become evident what exactly is causing the problem. Thanks to everyone who helps with the rom updates and development.

I am not knowledgable enough to make my own. I wish I was, but I don't really understand it and don't have time to learn all I would need to know right now. I am not critizing, if that's your point. I have a ton of respect and appreciation for Abu.....I just wanted to report my experience in hopes that it might somehow help. As far as Manila 2.6.....I'll check it out, thanks for the tip.

Yes Abu, do you have any plan yet to move to build 2303x or 4x? The new build 23041 looks great, though I heard there are still bugs. I would love to hear about the new series. Should we make it X2 V12 or X3 V1? This series has a lot of difference in the User Interface though it is still WM6.5.

You did not state if ur car was petrol or diesel model, or elegance or sport.

Have you tried the Lexus fix?

I have made the change from V10 to V11 and it is working amazing! Everything on my phone with V11 seems to work flawlessly (in fact the camera is now faster than ever!) and I really don't want to mess things up installing something that others know doesn't work properly with V11.

With that said.... In previous versions, I have tried various battery icon fixes to get the battery life displayed in % in the top bar including "NumBattery.cab" and "PDA_Corner_Battery_Icon_percents.cab".

With the different versions of battery display fixes going around, has anyone experienced any problems with either of these two working on V11? Thanks!

Phone calls, even speaker phone works great... but I can't play any audio files, mp3, wav, etc. Also the Vibration goes crazy - probably instead of audio. Cant seem to turn it off.

Sounds like a radio issue... What radio version are you using? You should try the recommend one at the first page on this thread...

This works flawlessly. I did it a week ago and it hasn't come back since. Deleting that registry key is the way to go. My cprog.log file was almost 35 megs before i came across that reg key. I agree if you dont know what you are doing stay out of the registry. You might end up having to Hard Reset if you screw something up.

Give this a try mate i use it in every one of ABS Roms works fine install SD KERTS first then % BATTERY :)

I have used both ROMs a lot - but unfortunately not with a bluetooth headset. However, from my experience so far, V11 seems to have at least as good of a battery life as V10. The usual suspects (WIFI, 3G, etc.) do run it down faster (as in V10), but that is expected.

Sorry I couldn't help more on the bluetooth end of the question, but overall I would say battery life is similar if not better than V10. :)

Also, on v10 when I tapped the top bar when I had a notification (e-mail, reminder) I would get a nicer screen that would actually show the notifications rather than just the buttons to click. On v11 is is back to just the touch buttons and then the notification pops up on the bottom again. How can I get the other screen back? Hope you all know what I am referring to as I have no screenshots. :p

EDIT: Fixed my own issue. Found the mortscript and reenabled the enhanced notifcations. :) Still having the calendar issue though.

Autoinstall worked fine here and as to using the recomended radio that is only a guide try them all till you find the best one for your device hope that helps :)

I was able to fix the overlapping calendar items by restoring the "HomeWidget" section of the HTCHomeSettings.xml file to what they were from v10. I've attached a file containing the settings, you can just edit the file in your Windows directory and replace the settings with the ones attached, then reboot or reload M2D.

This will move the date back up where it was and cause it to be obscured by the alarm status if you're using the long date format, but this will get you by until Abu figures something out. :-)

The file on the phone is in the ROM so you need to pull it over to your PC first, make the changes that I posted, and then copy it back to the Windows directory.

Here is my little fix for the Home Widget overlapping bug. I moved the alarm status up with the clock and gave the date the whole row to itself :)
To use this:
First goto start menu, settings, today, then items tab and uncheck 'TouchFLO' and hit ok.
Then copy this to the Windows\ directory on your phone, using total commander that's included in the rom, overwriting the original one
Then go back to the today items and check 'TouchFLO' and hit ok

and it'll look like so :)

Anyways, i have been using your ROMS as the only on that I think are worth using. And perronally(please everybody don't miss this word) I think the X.v7 was the best.

A vriend of my showed me the X2.v10 and it looked nice so after a while i got curious and waited for the X2.v11.

And again i am TRULy sorry for this: Man what a baaaaaad ROM, it is just slow and is the most unstable ROM you ever made. Everything i do or tried it is slow,crashes all the time and now after 20 boots it just won't come up agian.
I did the flashing 3 times, which is just not acceptable in relation to all your other ROMs you delivered. 1 install en go for months every ROM upgrade I did from you.
I never had to do a clean stock ROM before and now i did. It still is unstable.

Now i have tasted of the new fuctions I don't want to go back to the older ones so please i beg you!! do an extensive test with some beta testers before releasing an X2.v12.

On your device that is, as for me i have no problems and it is very very fast just wondering if you Flashed a Stock and do 2 Hard Resets ?was it the right Stock ? then Flashed v11 did you do a further Hard Reset,I am just curious why it is so bad on your device ? :)

I love this ROM - it's fast and has most things that I want. Out of curiosity I tried TPC v11 and although it was quite nice it didn't seem as fast and it has some things done to the interface that I don't like but clearly others do. So I gave this one a try and I really like it. However one thing that works on TPC and not on this one is the Program launcher on MOTO Home. You just get a black screen. Even if you go to the MOTO Home thread there are no solutions to this that work. The only one that is there is to copy a ProgramsLauncher.exe file into the Windows but its already there in this ROM.
I thought I'd reflash TPC's ROM and copy the entire Motosurf directory to my SD card along with the Register settings. I then flashed the stock ROM (T-Mobile UK 6.1) and tried executing ProgramsLauncher.exe from the copy on the SD directory. I was very pleased to see that it worked and displayed a list of programs. So thinking I'd cracked it I reflashed this ROM only to find double clicking on ProgramsLauncher.exe just gave the old black screen. I copied the entire contents of TPC's Motosurf directory into the Windows directory and that didn't fix it. I discovered the exe which generates the program list for HTC Touchflo Home and made another copy renamed as ProgramsLauncher.exe and that didn't fix it either. Although in this case at least double clicking the the exe did give a program list but it still gave a black screen when trying to add programs from the Moto Home.
So it still doesn't work but clearly there must be something missing in this ROM that is present in the stock T-Mobile ROM and TPC ROM. Presumably it doesn't work on a whole lot of other ROMS too judging by the Moto thread. I don't know if this helps any sleuths out there.
In case anyone was wondering, there is a fix for RSS tab of MOTO Home on the Moto thread and that definitely works on this ROM.

ytbai, I use SUNGLOBE.cab (look it up) to give me full chinese support in all programs (including browsers) and I recommend the ZTA4 for chinese input as it's very nice though doesn't support the hard-keyboard.
This combination seems to work on any WM system (6.1 and 6.5)

Which was the dialer that actually allowed the Windows Mobile 6.5 lockscreen to work over it when there was an incoming call while the phone was locked? Used V11 for 1 day. today it says Storage memory critically low.

I can see there is only .01MB of storage memory. How do I fix this. Is this a known memory leak?

I too am starting to have problems with my Kaiser in combination with this V11 version. The overlay with the clock and calender is somehow distorted, the ROM seems a bit slow, and this morning it wouldn't come up at all. It just hang just before the bootloader. I had to hard reset it to let it start up again.

I have to mention though I didn't follow the complete 'upgrade guide', and didn't pre-install an original HTC Rom, and I only did one hard reset after flashing to this V11 ROM, instead of the desired two.

I also have the error mentioned by someone earlier, about the critical low storage.

The buttons are slightly bigger, than used in V10, only allowing 3 buttons in a row. I liked the previous set up better.

Besides that, everything you could possibly want is in there, although the games included are starting to get a bit boring. ;) But I'd prefer a faster ROM than a wildlife of applications.

Anyway, I do have respect for the work put in here! It seems a lot is changing in the X2-series in a very short time! Again, respect and many times thank you!

- wireless symbol is not apprearing in top menu
- in connections/ wireless the link to networks show settings , not received networks
- no connections made

worked all good for 2 weeks now with X 11 but stopped this morning , no new SW installed !!!

There was a short message from ABU on a new X11 just chrome , but I have not seen any recent post from him for quite some days .. any news from anybody ?

I am having the same problem--Chinese/Unicode is supported in most applications, but not in the dialer. I use a different wince.nls and font file that supports both Trad. and Simplified Chinese, and has NEVER not worked in any other build, so something is definitely up with the code page support in this particular dialer.

This is my first cooked ROM, I was trying to fix some problems with slow handling of my large contact database, and otherwise buggy behavior. So far, fast and stable so thanks much!

However, I was able to load subscription music before, and now Rhapsody doesn't seem to recognize the device as one that has DRM. I'm wondering if the new version of WMP killed the PlaysForSure compatibility in favor of Zune? Or was DRM left out of the ROM for some reason?

Searched the thread and the Kaiser forum and only found a few similar references, any solution (even downloads) would be appreciated.

I have had the hangs and really slow acting issues with 10 and 11 :( Sometimes nothing fixes it other than a HR. I have since gone back to V8 and all is jamming along again :).....I kinda think its just the later builds or something. Not really sure. I tried all the spl and every radio combo i could come up with. And it all ended the same. Seems it works fine for a day maybe two then slows to a crawl and finally hangs in a dead slumber. Sometimes contacts dont show or anything. Doesnt matter how many times i SR its still the same. Not sure whats going on. :eek:

A friend of my showed me the X2.v10 and it looked nice so after a while i got curious and waited for the X2.v11.

And again i am TRULy sorry for this: Man what a baaaaaad ROM, it is just slow and is the most unstable ROM you ever made. Everything i do or tried it is slow,crashes all the time and now after 20 boots it just won't come up again.
I did the flashing 3 times, which is just not acceptable in relation to all your other ROM's you delivered. 1 install en go for months every ROM upgrade I did from you.
I never had to do a clean stock ROM before and now i did. It still is unstable.

Now i have tasted of the new functions I don't want to go back to the older ones so please i beg you!! do an extensive test with some beta testers before releasing an X2.v12.

Oke here are my results of many,many,many unexpected reboots,restarts,clean boots,spontaneous stops, spontaneous restart and then another restart and complete new flash boot, many,many,many different ROM's installed. and again all of the above.
I really started to think the phone was broken.:mad:

Here is wat I find out:
- Every time I had a flash I installed the battery program "batti" this always worked on the WM6.1 so that should be oke. It is not on my mobile anymore. Something with the way Batti accesses the power functionality in WM6.5 is totally wrong.
- I used HardSPL v3.31 for 2 years now. I upgraded to the recommendation of this thread to v3.34.
- I have all synchronization information set to not download more then 1 month. I did always all.

The combination of these 3 rules made that my mobile is now stable with the X2 v11 over 12 hours.

Currently i have set up all mail boxes.
I installed Windows live.
I have installed the latest Manilla customizer unfortunately this will not work completely on the homepage which i still need to overwrite with the Yusuke14 file.
I have installed tomtom again.
etc,etc,....

It is stable for the moment.

It looks like WM6.5 is a completely different case using old tools.:cool:

So my 50cnts in this is make sure the tools are the latest version and preferably WM6.5 ready.

And to Abusalza my greatest respect and humble excuses.

ps. I have a FTP with webspace for your latest ROM's. Also i do have a HDD for you 80GB(do you use IDE/SATA?) but how do i get it to you?

has anybody tried to make an active-sync connection through blue-tooth on the V11 in my case with a laptop or PC? It connects, but disconnects after 1 second. In V10 this worked OK, but int hat version i had the same problem described earlier that the memory was full without starting any programs.
On this v11 i installed good old memmaid to keep an eye on things. It looks like the notification queue is filled with a lot of double entries. The entry is for Powerexe.exe and it is supposed to run when the system time is changed.
It think they are made automatically after a soft reset.

v11 went to hell for me last night.... locked up lagged horribly....had to do a hard reset, didnt have that dummy file like other have had, i dunno what went wrong, was working great until last night, even corrupted my microsd card, certain weird folders were created, and some folder aren't accessible, it gives me "Error 13 changing to dir!" i might just have to go back to v8 like many others have done :( sucks i liked v11 too... v10 was horrible but v11 seemed promising...


update: 4gig microsd card is now useless :( pc wont format it etc.... going to have to buy another card, anyone know where to get a cheap 8gig maybe? :(

Sluggish response and WiFi didn't work...
Seems a HR is the only way to (temporarily) fix this sluggishness issue... I had this problem too, where X2v11 ROM on my ATT Tilt becomes unresponsive, then also the WiFI icon goes weird and WiFi was not able to connect... I was using SPL 3.34 and radio 1.71.19.01, and after a HR, it would be OK then go back to this weird, slow state after a day or so... Then last week I thought to change the SPL to 3.56, leaving the radio the same and weirdness happened shortly after half a day... Then I decided to change the radio to 1.70.18.02, followed by a HR... seemed OK for a while, so I reloaded SPL 3.34 and another HR, and it's been going good so far for about 4-5 days now! Could the issue be related to some radios and the 6.5 ROM combination?

Had a similar problem, solved it by checking that the operators connection is selected instead of "The Internet" . Don´t know if that´s your problem, but check it out.

I have X2 and if I tried to restart it or turn it off it would give me an error message saying something like xml file has been lost and then lock up. Did this more than once. I have Cmonex 3.29Hard2. I lost all of my stuff more then twice, had to reflash X2.

I like to have XT9 on by default. I remembered that there is a cab on the EzInput thread to do this. However it has a slightly annoying side effect in that pressing the camera button half way causes an e acute (é) to appear in the XT9 suggestion strip. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Used V11 for 1 day. today it says Storage memory critically low.

I can see there is only .01MB of storage memory. How do I fix this. Is this a known memory leak?


Edit: hard reset was the only thing that fixed this temporarily

Am on V10, not V11, though this has happened to me a couple of times.

The root cause seems to be the cprog.log (\DebLogger\) getting bigger.

Use a task manager, kill the cprog.exe process, and then use Total Commander to delete the cprog.log file.

I wouldn't mind seeing if the Deblogger issue is still present. If so then the internal storage is likely full which will stop a lot of things working and will make everything else slow as hell.

Several people (including myself) have posted in this thread about removing a list of registry keys (which Abu said he removed from V11) which cause the deblogger\cprog.log file to get populated with data.

This should resolve your issue. V10 is still flying for me since I removed this issue.

I'm not having a pop but it is a development forum and therefore any ROM released here should always be considered beta and as such they are all use at your own risk. Same as you would find with any other beta software.

Quick answer - go back to V10 hehe (as a side note the even numbered releases always seem to be more stable and complete than the odd numbered)

Ugh ... I have stayed on v4 of Abu's 6.1 ROM (perfectly stable) and was always hoping to move onto a 6.5 once forum posts which used the word "needed a hard reset" and "slowed to crawl" stopped. That point never happened :( I guess I will be forever with v4/6.1 unless some miracle has X12 solve everything.

And the worst thing is that it will not happen right away but within 1 to 4 hours or so.
I have not installed the batty program that was already a relief, so with a possitive mind I installed the status bar with colored icons. There is a part reading the battery state which shows the battery icon with persentages.
Again the phone went corrupted and a double boot resulted ending in a clean boot.

So can any of you verify this please? Or is my phone broken?

Some of those status bar cabs messup with the ROMs. I advise you to de a clean flash again. Stock>HR>Radio>>HR>>Custom and next time use sdkcerts

I used "PDA_Corner_Battery_Icon_percents.cab" for a few days, then I tried "BATTERY %.cab" and finally I changed over to a combination of "Arthemus TaskBar QVGA V5_HTC_modded_by_Yusuke14.cab" and "ArielBattery2.1.exe" - all without any problems. I did make sure that I uninstalled each one prior to installing the next, and I also installed "SdkCerts.cab" first too. So far - no problems encountered (knock on wood). :D

You are correct, i've tried "Battery %.cab" and after a SR MSN Weather/Money were not downloading anymore updates...not unless the phone is connected by activesync. I uninstall the cab but still a no go.

Also everything slows down after a soft reset not unless my BT is on, then the boot-up speed gets back to normal.

So instead of doing HR, I switch to TPC 23047 Stock-Like ROM. But I miss the email sound notification "you got mail"...Please if someone could be so kind to upload this wavefile.

I have to agree with you on this one. always tried the latest from ABU and appreciate his time he puts in even though its not his main device anymore. V.8 seems to be the best rom I go back to. Battery life last almost twice than any other rom and its pretty responsive.

I've had good luck so far with my v11 flash.

It has randomly rebooted a few times.
(This has been a first for any rom)

and sometimes when I hit the power to wake the phone up, it doesn't work. I have to reset the phone.

Otherwise the speed has been incredible and all the Cook'en makes it very usable.

(Only apps I've installed is Palringo and Skyfire.)

Anyone else notice anything along these lines?

I've tried UltimateX-2.V11 ROM very stable and fast :)

I got 2 problems

1. I can't connect to the internet

I can connect to the Access Point through WIFI
however in opera or internet explorer, It supposed to pop up login and password to input with. but it didnt showed up and I cant input the login and password so i can't use the internet.

I try to clear the cookies and enable pop up setting in opera and internet explorer however it still not working.

Any solution?

2. It seems that when I use sliding keyboard my screen first rotate to landscape and after a few clicks it went back to potrait.

i would have to agree, v8 seams to be the most stable at this point I ran v9, v10, and v11 for a couple days each last week and they hung. i am not certain, but they seam to be a little more stable if I did not run touchflo. but they all eventually hung. v8 has been doing well through the weekend at this point.

I suffered through v10 for a week and v11 for a week, just to make sure it was not a config issue on my part

I'm having the same reboot issue but I don't think it's the ROM issue as I've tried many other rom just to verify. I think it might be with DaveShaw SPL.

Shouldnt be. I have tried them all and always seem to be back at 3.34. To me its just 6.5. But flashing from the SD seems to help alot :D


Oh and just to clearify i have never had a reset issue..or the hard reset issue others have.

Still wait for v12. It seems XDA now changes the strategy and less ROMs come recently, the new ones I found are more about Clean-like ROMs and needs a lot of users' efforts to install softwares.

To fix the boot.exe problem just go into windows/startup and delete the link to boot.exe. This executable is from the ClearTemp program. You must have tried to configure it and it did this. Happened to me too and this is how I solved it.

Easiest thing to do is to run PIMbackup again and back up only your contacts and in "options", select the option to remove contacts after backing them up. Once the backup is complete, just do another ActiveSync and you'll get all the contacts back again (hopefully they're the same ;) - if not, ask again and I'll tell you how to fix that too!).

it looks very nice but i cannot select favorite application in the tab ''program". there is a black screen when i click "+".

I used the ultimate ROM v11 for awhile, reflashed it once, but I still don't have an active WMDRM function (Rhapsody doesn't recognize the device and authorize subscriptions on it). I just tried out a TPC v11 and it worked right off. Any idea why Abu's ROM doesn't support it, I see the DLL in the files list. I really prefer Ultimate ROM, but need my tunes!

I've been using Abu's ROMs for a while and have been with X2.V11 since it's release - and I have had no problems.

However this morning when I woke up, the phone was on a screen prompting me to setup a PIN # for when the phone gets locked. I have never used a PIN/password, but the screen would not let me cancel out of it. If I tried to do anything else it would just bring me back there again. There was a box to uncheck if I didn't want to use a PIN, but it was already checked and grayed out preventing me from un-checking it!

So I set a 4 digit PIN which let me exit that screen, and thought I would then go back in and be able to disable that feature. However, I cannot find that menu anywhere. I went through every place I could logically think of but I cannot find it.

Anyone know what I am talking about and how to turn this off? Now, everytime I lock my phone and then go to unlock it - I have to enter my PIN which is just a pain.

Is this just par for the course since all this WM 6.5 stuff is meant to be running on faster phones? It is annoying when I just want to check my email's quickly it takes a bit for each one to close.

Aha! Thanks for the feedback - you may have hit the nail on the head. Our Exchange Servers at work were just upgraded from 2003 to 2007 (I think that is right) - and it happened last night which is exactly when this issue started. :(

I think there is a bug in the ROM as far as MOTO is concerned. I do not like moto personnally,but you might wanna try TPC's 23017 Loaded if MOTO is your love:D

Here is my little fix for the Home Widget overlapping bug. I moved the alarm status up with the clock and gave the date the whole row to itself :)
To use this:
First goto start menu, settings, today, then items tab and uncheck 'TouchFLO' and hit ok.
Then copy this to the Windows\ directory on your phone, using total commander that's included in the rom, overwriting the original one
Then go back to the today items and check 'TouchFLO' and hit ok

Attached is the normal HTCHomeSettings mxl and one with 4 column, 9 row programs tab

@Yusuke - I installed the 4 column/9 row cab and it looks perfect, however it will still only allow me to add 18 items to the Programs tab (there are 36 total places to put programs, but the last 18 are not programmable.) It is probably a registry tweak - any ideas?

I'm noticing that too man. Whenever I go to close out a text message thread, it lags tremendously. I don't know what that's about. Even after a few reflashes, I still get it.

I have noticed that the contact database re-indexes each time you open it, so that for instance you can watch the names being added to the list. If the contact names aren't indexed when you load messaging, it may take awhile to do the lookups?

One quick question for you registry gurus: Per Abu's suggestion to me in a previous post, I made the following tweak to the registry which I thought would make Internet Explorer my default browser:

(dword:00000001 is the default to have Opera)

And this tweak does work as long as I am launching the browser from the "Internet" tab on the sliding bar at the bottom of the display.

However, when a program access the internet (to read a help file, for instance), it always opens in Opera - which is not my preferred browser. I am sure there is a tweak, but I can't find it. I thought it would be in the Advanced Config but if it is, I am not looking in the right place. Thanks for any help!

Open up IE and go to the Tools menu, then Options, then Other. Select the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default Web browser" option and then hit Done. Close IE, then reopen it, and it will ask to make IE the default browser.

Great Rom!!
In the last few days I've been trying different roms and this one was the best for me. It's fast, has a fast manila2d and doesn't take too much storage.

The only problem I have is that I cannot add Tabs to the launcher in the manila. I used the m2dc and added more tabs but they don't really work.....pity. Would it be possible to fix it?

No problems here. This ROM installed without problems and has worked amazingly! I installed V11 on Sep 1st - the day after it came out and have been using it heavily until yesterday when my intrigue for the 23053 build overcame me and I flashed to TPC's "stock-like" build. However, I like the Manila interface too much! :D So I flashed back to the X2.V11 and everything went perfectly.

I'm sorry I don't have much insight to what might be causing your problems, but my experience has been extremely good with this ROM. Take care! :)

The initial install of X2.V11 was done only after flashing a stock rom, followed by a number of hard resets... So I guess it's back to an earlier version for me

I installed X2.V11 and made a hard reset. (HardSPL 3.34)

I had some problems yesterday after inserting my backups... After inserting of my backup, there was after the reset a message, that the phone is installing something for the first use. After that it restarted it again and the kaiser was hard reseted. :confused:
All messages and contact were gone. I tried then twice to instert backup again, but it reserted themselves? The next thing i tried, was to copy only contacts without other backup-stuff and this worked. ok.

Today I had to stand up early at 7:00 and I set yesterday G-Alarm up to ring on this time. The problem was, i didn't ring. After i stand up I tried to launch G-Alarm and there was an error message, that the software is broken and I have to reinstall this. Then I tried with other software and it's didn't work too! I reseted the phone and got again this message that the phone is setting up for the first use. After that all data was gone and I had to do all again.

Now I tried it again, looks good, but what the hell was that? I mean - the phone is reseting themselves? Whats going on here?

I installed X2.V11 and made a hard reset. (HardSPL 3.34)

I had some problems yesterday after inserting my backups... After inserting of my backup, there was after the reset a message, that the phone is installing something for the first use. After that it restarted it again and the kaiser was hard reseted. :confused:
All messages and contact were gone. I tried then twice to instert backup again, but it reserted themselves? The next thing i tried, was to copy only contacts without other backup-stuff and this worked. ok.

Today I had to stand up early at 7:00 and I set yesterday G-Alarm up to ring on this time. The problem was, i didn't ring. After i stand up I tried to launch G-Alarm and there was an error message, that the software is broken and I have to reinstall this. Then I tried with other software and it's didn't work too! I reseted the phone and got again this message that the phone is setting up for the first use. After that all data was gone and I had to do all again.

Now I tried it again, looks good, but what the hell was that? I mean - the phone is reseting themselves? Whats going on here?

What is going on here is you haven't read the instructions from the chef on the first page. We get this question over and over again. Go back to the first page, read the instructions fully and the associated links.
Then you may understand firstly why you are having a problem and secondly why we get frustrated when people keep repeating the same questions which have been answered on the first page and many other pages throughout the thread.

just put abu's rom(nbh file) in this folder and click on kaisercustomruu.exe.

just put abu's rom(nbh file) in this folder and click on kaisercustomruu.exe.

Now I found, that you have to flash first the stock ROM, but...
It makes no sense, when you flash stock ROM, then the new and do a Hard Reset?

Flashing the stock rom seems to help clear the mem better. Helps prevent the HR issue. Then flash new...then a HR. I only flash from my SD and never have the issues that seem to crop up.. But i did have issues with V11 so anyhow. Try it out.

Hm... I thought, when you flash ROM, it is completly removed before installing the new one. How ever, thanks a lot, i'll try it when my phone will reset themselves again :)

It usually does. I kinda think its from the mem Hacks that we have now. Not really sure though :confused: Try flashing from the SD as well. Or whatever TPC posted as he stated :)

i guess either nobody read my post back there or they just dont think i know what im talking about :rolleyes: if you use the modified update utility i posted then there is no reason to flash the stock rom before flashing this or any other custom rom. just make sure you have abu's recommended spl/radio and flash his rom with the utility from my post and all should be good.

it does a task 28 hard reset automatically, the same as flashing from sd does :)

i have Huge stabilty problems with this rom.

I like the interface and all but the system crashes very often.

usually after i shutdown the phone and turn it back on it will install itself again ( first time run screen) after a while it crashes ( i says something about html etc)
also it sometimes gives errors with the xda shutdown. it cant open the*.exe

Abu's V11 ROM has been perfect for me, except one little thing. My Tomb Raider game, when I press whatever button it may be, it kinda lags or how I would say it... Example: When I press left, Lara turns left, when I release the button, Lara still goes left about 5 seconds of even more! My other 3D games works just fine, the problem is only in this game. I've tried to install the game to device memory, just after hard reset and no other programs installed, the problem is still there. And it is not WM6.5 issue, 'cause with TPC's ROM's I do not have this problem at all. So what's different between TPC's ROM and Abu's ROM? Anyone who could help me with this? I can provide the cab if someone wants to try it him-/herself using Abu's X2.V11.

one more thing to pay attention to. In the past when i used wm6.1 many programs where finger friendly (i could scroll through the information with my finger) and with no need of a scroll bar. In this rom it doesn't work for many programs...:(

Any guesses why I can recieve mms pics but not send? I did a search and read thru the first 100 pages of this thread and all I found was people who couldn't send or recieve.

I am currently using this and loving it.
However, it seems like there was something like memory leaking on my TyTN2 as the phone won't load touchflo anymore, took long time to open programs and sometimes will show "cannnot run "x" appliaction" due to low memory.

Please help!
