hi there abu...am a great fan of ur roms. was using v7 and i have switched over to v11. the in call volume is too low and i cant hear some of the conversation esp when there is ambient noise. any workaround for this?? much obliged!

Im a noob here - fixing the screen on my phone soon and I want to upgrade my Rom for the first time. I think im running WM6 - do I have to worry about which OS Im running for this.

Resco Registry Editor is not free (it's part of Resco Explorer), which is probably why this ROM (v11) uses DotFred's Task Manager v3.1; one of its' startup parameters is "/regedit" which brings up the registry editor component......oh, and it too has a pink icon :)

Abu, I recently reflash my tytyn due to memory leaking. Now I flash the v11 again and use motohome. It seems like there are bugs with motohome. I cannot add favorite application to the favorite application tab as it does not show any application at all.

Anyone know how to access the large title bar icon? I HATE the screen that pops up when i press the volume button or anything on the top bar. It just adds an extra unecessary step. I haven't been able to find it with version 6.5

I'm having a big problem with my start menu. it messed up a few days ago and i've soft-reset loads of times but nothing changes. really don't want to have to hard reset just to fix this.

Also pressing the today button causes the soft reset confirmation message to appear. the rest of the screen does nothing (except the top bar and the lock button which both work fine.)

Does anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Forgot to mention. this is on v8 with the recommended fixes suggested a few pages back. i also remember there was a cab or mortscript in v11 in the personal folder to change the start menu but it's not in this version. i don't know if reinstalling would fix the problem.

EDIT2: Obviously after posting this the soft reset i did last night fixed the problem. also fixes my fun contact problem too. i don't know why it worked this time but not before though. very strange.

MOTOHOME was never working correctly in V11. It's actually mentioned previously somewhere in this thread. To get a working version you need to switch to a different ROM...

In addition to no longer being able to access the large tite bar program (which is very annoying that it is on), I also noticed that the battery icon is gone. Any way to get it back? I have to go thru a milliomn settings just to find out my battery life.

Hey guys have u guys got this problem, i flashed X2.V11 and ive had a problem where i opened the slide out keyboard and it goes into landscape mode, but once you have used an application or whatever it goes bk into portrait mode again even when the keyboard is pulled out, is there a fix for this

This ROM (X2V11) has issues for many ppl. Seems it will run OK for up to a week or two, then it acts weird, slows down, locks up etc and a hard reset is the only thing that fixes it - but then it happens again after a while... If you are having issues from the start though, did you flash the "standard" ROM first (i.e. ATT/HTC etc), followed by a hard reset, then flash the PDAC ROM and hard-reset again? I have ended up switching back to X2V8 a week and a half ago, and this seems to be the last "stable" PDAC ROM...

Are you displaying the clock on the title bar in all programs ?
If so, try disabling this option (Start -> Settings -> Clock & Alarms -> More) by unchecking the first box, and see if it works.

It worked for me.

Hmmm... I also noticed that caller id doesn't work in landscape mode. Also when replying to a SMS message it still keeps the status as an uread message until i close out of it. So for example if I'm in a threaded conversation and keep it open, each new message stays "unread" status until i close out the thread.

One other thing, when i click the send button while in an SMS to call that person that just texted me, it no longer gives me the prompt to call the number. It just brings me straight to the dialing screen. It will still call that person but it just doesn't prompt anymore.

I've fixed the xml file of the manila. First go to windows folder and copy your original HTCHomeSettings.xml file to a PC folder as backup. Than extract the attached zip file and copy it into the windows folder.
restart the manila2d (touchflo) and you can see the new fixed home.

Hi, thanks for this rom. No problem found yet, no hard resets, it is very stable and battery life looks good. One question regarding manila:
Is there a way to configure it dispite the background picture? I know that this is a new manila which works for wm 6.5 How can it be adjusted? themes and stuff?

Hmmm... don't want to start an issue here... but I have to ask... how difficult is to modify the messaging feature of windows mobile (specially regarding emails) and how do we know that ones we configure our email accounts on this "Cooked Roms" that our emails are safe and for example, that every single email I send or received is NOT been forwarded to an unknown email recipient that could lead to the hijack of our rapidshare, paypal and bla bla bla accounts... Has anyone experience any privacy / security issues since installing this roms? No stolen accounts or anything>? Just a simple question about security / privacy....

I'd say it's a fairly good question and that "trust" is the the only answer I can find but would you trust the stranger who wrote these lines - me - ? :D

My calendar shows two appointments but not of the same day. One is for today and the second is of tomorrow no matter if today i still have appointments. Changing of the tabs is easy with m2dc (you can search this forum for it).

Hello all,

I know this subject is common and normally is a radio pb.
I read a lot of treads (included wiki) on this subject, but I cannot find the solution to this pb on my Kaiser.
After flashing the ROM (very good work by the way :) ) all seems works perfectly except the sound on communication.
When I'm calling, nobody can hear me and I cannot hear too.
So I flashed the ROM radio to go back on 1.27.12.17 (who is working with another HTC ROM 1.56.406.5)
but .. nothing more...
So I came back to this HTC ROM at the moment, and I have no idea to solve this problem or in witch way i need to search :/

Ooook I found the reason : It's again a ROM radio pb but to solve it I used this one : 1.65.24.36 (at the beginning I had 1.27.14.32 so I tried other ROM below this reference not upper... and that was a mistake :) )

I had a stock rom before flashing V10. One thing I noticed is that the times I needed to hard reset, I was using CHome as my today screen. Ever since my last hard reset 2 weeks ago, I left the TouchFlo home screen and haven't had a problem with the phone locking up on me again.

Could CHome have been the problem that was causing me to hard reset so frequently?

I really liked being able to customize the CHome screen and I miss it. I've been thinking about flashing another ROM, but now that V10 has been pretty stable for a while, I'm hesitant to rock the boat. I mainly got sick and tired of having to set up my email accounts over and over and over again.

Does anyone have advice for me? I want to do something different, but I don't know what my best option is. I really don't like the TouchFlo home screen.

Hi everyone.

After flashing the Radio to "KAIS_RADIO_ONLY_1.71.09.01" and installing PDA corners newest ROM, everything worked fine. The only bug was that when I wanted to turn off the device by holding the power button, after choosing the turn-off option, it just restarted.

Now the phone doesn't start at all. Seems as if there is no power from the battery, while there was enough charge in it. When I connect it to the power plug, the charging/power led turns almost red, never saw that before.

This is not my first ROM-update, but this is the first time I've encountered this problem.

What I already tried:

- hard and soft resets
- removed the battery
- tried to connect it to the pc
- connected in the power plug, nothing worked.
-tried the power button+camera+soft reset

Nothing worked!


Any ideas?

Thanks for this very nice ROM, I have found troubles trying to move My Documents folder to for example "\Storage Card\My Documents"

I have searched everywhere and I cannot find how to do it. Apparently the Key FileSyncPath does not exist in this ROM and I do not know if this has to do with the fact is windows 6.5 ot there is any other way to do it.

Changing the folders using the advanced config utility has no effects either.
Anybody has an idea?

I've actually just started getting a similar issue today. except it charges fine when it's turned off. this suggests my problem may be that the power option about not charging when it's on has been activated. i don't know how to fix it because when i go into power options then the option is unchecked.

If you're not able to get it to charge at all then it may be a problem with your connection. The mini usb connector is terrible and wears out easily. the only solution i have found is to get the cable and bend the connector. it has a line where the metal meets and you can press that in by a millimeter or so and that forces the connector in the phone to connect. unfortunately this also caused the connector to wear out faster. the only real solution is to buy a new phone or spend a lot of money to get it replaced as it isn't covered by warranty.

EDIT: Just did some more testing and I've found that my problem is caused by my connection. The reason it charges fine when it's turned off is that I'm not using it then. it takes a lot of trial and error to find a position that works. I first started getting problems with my connector about 6 months after i bought the phone. I've now had it almost 2 years. I hate mini USB.

However when I tried using it I cant add any applications to the applications tab where you put in your favorite apps. everytime I tap on the circle with (+) sign, it gave me the page for applications to choose from, but mine is showing empty, did I do anything wrong or is there a way to have this fixed

My instability in v11 appeared to come after i started using the GPS. It's difficult to say but since GPS doesn't work in v11 i had to go back anyway.

My wife and I both have ATT tilts... One is stable the other is not!


I loaded X2V11 on both. (Sep 22, 2009)
Kept touchflow as default.
Changed settings like the time and date, regional settings and Ring type.
- Installed BBConnect on mine.
PIM restore on both.
Garmin installed on both.


Hers was having issues so I switched sim and storage cards since she doesn't understand computers!

I was having trouble with the speaker not working or never ending vibrate when receiving a call, so I reloaded the radio and fixed that.

Then one day my phone started acting up after switching apps. I was either in Google Maps or Garmin (perhaps similiar issues as Mrfoamy with the GPS?). Reboot didnt fix the problem so I did a factory reset and am now working on getting BBConnect going again (this sucks because I use over the air activation and have to keep emailing work for the activation to be reset and they only support Blackberry phones)

I have been using X2.V11 since the day it came out (except a 1 day period when I experimented with TPC's "stock-like" ROM) - and I have had no problems at all. Very stable in all regards including extensive GPS usage. To answer the question, I only have used it in M2D - never used CHOME. Hope this helps!

You have probably come across the infamous X2V11 bug which (seemingly) crops up after running the ROM for a week or two (apparently because of CHOME!). Symptoms include sluggishness, Wifi not working, lockups etc... You have probably come across the infamous X2V11 bug which (seemingly) crops up after running the ROM for a week or two (apparently because of CHOME!). Symptoms include sluggishness, Wifi not working, lockups etc... so tried v11 again. loaded it on friday and hung this evening. I did not run any gps software, no browser software. I did sync with an exchange server, gmail and an imap server. 400+ contacts and not sure number of emails total. no sms messages, no mms message. no real customization other then a single ring tone and then disable notification of amy mail message and turn off open slide sound. I also deleted the debuglogger reg but on soft reset, it comes back. i think it is still running and that is why the reg key re-creates on soft reset. or at least something is calling it.

Sorry, but I had no idea where Abu was from... I sincerely do hope things are OK (or at least end up OK!) with him as well as many many others going through really tough and sad times right now! ...and...you're right, compared to this my phone issues are really insignificant!

To change hardware keyboard language to German standard change registry value to this:

It doesn't work on my Kaiser... I tryed this twice after hard reseting the deviece. Keyboard is still in english layout after doing this changes in registery...

I´ve been using X2V11 since its released, and never had a bug of so, never had freezes or wifi not working, its absolutely perfect for me.

Softreset and you're done...

P.S: it also works for Italian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Danish.
P.P.S: If your keyboard is still in english, use another keyboard (like Fingerkeyboard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122)).

HI ultimate-X2.V11 and it's a great rom I have problema with the wireless. It works fine once but when you restart or shutdown the device the wireless stops and does not work anymore. It's like can't search.... did know something...

Hi I have been using ultimate-X2.V11 for a while now and first it started locking up and becoming sluggish. Now I can not unlock the phone to use it (i.e. it does nothing after i enter the pin and press the unlock button). It does not say wrong pin or anything just acts like nothing is wrong.

So it's essentially a brick that I can answer incoming calls with.

Hello all,

Was using Ultimate X2 v11 for a while. Started becoming really sluggish so I flashed the phone. Now evertime restarts it's like it's starting for the first time. I hard reset and at one time gives " Run XML \WINDOWS\Menu_operation. Code 0x80004005"

It fails to install apps after flashing and when successful, after a restart, goes through the " start first time" process again. Sometimes just hangs at the windows logo menu. Guys any ideas?

I have 1.71.09.01 RADIO and HSPL 1.0 OliProf, so ROM is not stable - it stacking after a couple of days of use.

Also I'm seeking for easy trigger to switch brightness on my phone. In the first ROM I used was icon to switch brightness. Today I should go to power settings and adjust brightness by stilus. Could you recomend me some batch/icon to simply adjustment?

Next to the overlapping calendar-bug (that i'll try to fix later today) i also suffer from vert weak wifi reception.
At my house it's okay, but at the school campus i'm in direct line of sight with the router, laybe 50m away, but i can barely connect.
My previous phone (HTC Vox/S710) had perfect reception at the same spots.
I've only used the Ultimate v11 ROM, didn't change radio.

Will upgrading radio or tweaking some settings change this problem?
I've already set the power preference to 'Best performance'.

Hi, I was wondering if it's at all possible to maybe edit the registry to tweak a d-pad scrolling issue I'm having with V10 of this excellent Rom..

Basically, when I click and hold any direction on the hard-key d-pad buttons, the phone has to play catch-up and continues to scroll even after I let go of the button. So is it possible to make the scrolling stop when I release the button, and not continue after?

I had the same issue with X2.V6 but after I flashed to V8 it disapeared. I have only been running this for a few days, and don't have all of my software loaded. I will let you know if the issue surfaces... You might try a hard reset w/o installing software and see if it still exists...

Hi, I'm running the v2.v11. the backlight keeps going off after 10 sec regardless of what I see in settings->system->power->advance. I'd tried 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min... It doesn't matter, after 10 sec, the backlight is off. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks very much!!!

Love the stability of this ROM! One thing I cannot find is the Data Tab under Start->Settings->Phone->Data Tab.

Looking to take advantage of "Disable data connections when device enters Sleep mode" I have seen on other WM 6.5 versions.

everything works for me... I even totally forgot to flash Stock Tilt rom first... LOL.

I had my first custom Rom on there from Shifu, and spl 3.29 (and w/e radio was recommended with Shifu's)

Anyway, I flashed the new SPL over (I had to use the MicroSD card because no pc would recognize the device with the Shifu rom ... blah!) Thankfully that worked, and then I forgot to flash the Tilt Rom, but no problems.. yet? lol

GPS works, everything works

THIS IS THE BEST ROM EVER. The Tilt is slow as heck compared to my Fuze (Touch Pro), and the Shifu rom made it even slower..... but now my Tilt seems to be running as fast as the Touch Pro!!!!!!!!

I love this Rom, and I'm so happy it has Touch Flo on it (which I disabled for now to see the 6.5.1 UI. Much cleaner than the 6.5 UI).

Anyway, the Touch Flo UI and everything else on the phone runs so smooth its unbelievable. No lag anywhere, all the programs start right away, the browsers are running faster (and I'm stuck in an Edge zone), the list just goes on and on!

Now if only I could the people repairing my TP screen to replace my Tilt keyboard LOL.. yeah some buttons require some hard pressing.

Anyway thank you again. You pretty much saved my Tilt's life because it runs so fast now I'll always have a great back up phone now instead of a super slow one!

Do you use your phone to connect to an email server (at work for example)? When my work upgraded their email servers from MS Exchange 2003 to MS Exchange 2007, the new Exchange settings required a PIN be setup and used (for security). Unfortunately, it seems that this is a global thing that effects the entire phone making the phone now require a PIN. It was such a pain for me to enter the PIN all the time, I just deleted the email synching. Hope this helps!

Anyway after that post I put up last night, the rom went bad on me.

When I woke up Touch Flo was frozen but the rest of the phone worked fine.. I proceeded to soft reset and Touch Flo loaded up... frozen.

So...... I hard reset and of course that fixed it (for now, about 8 hours later).

Anyway, I think it may have been my fault because I went into the advanced config and messed with the Touch Flo 3d settings or the Touch Flo settings. I had enabled some and then disabled them.

This time I didn't mess with any of the advanced config options except for a few that I knew would work properly.

So, it's still an amazing rom. Totally sucked having to enter all my info back into it though after that hard reset... I spent 1 hr customizing it because I thought it would run like a dream.. and then it froze. Oh well, can't complain now!

The funny thing, is that in 10 days I'll have my repaired Touch Pro back which will make all of this pointless anyway LOL. But, at least now my Tilt runs faster than it did from the factory and will be a great back up just in case. I love how Touch Flo and everything else in the phone is nearly as quick as the real Touch Pro's Touch Flo. I still can't believe it!

There is actually one problem though regarding in call volume: if you try to turn the volume up, it will turn down and then you won't be able to make it go up or down unless you turn the phone off and on or soft reset. Then you will have the original volume restored, but from my own memory I'm pretty sure the volume can go higher than the one this rom is basically stuck at.. so if anyone can fix it so I can turn the volume up (I don't care about down LOL) LMK. Thanks.

You could use a dialer without curtain or look for the Iolite dialer as it's basically Opal without slidedown curtain.

ok I'll check that out. I just didn't want to mess with any customization add-ons since the rom is perfect beyond that one thing LOL.

I hated having to try like 20 on screen keyboards and dialers before... and this is the most accurate one to the touch as of yet (but so is the rom so maybe the rom is the reason and not the dialer LOL).

So if the rom is the reason the dialer is so great to the touch (thus making all the other dialers just as good), I won't be shy..otherwise... eh, I'll live.

Also if anyone has problems with getting the wifi to turn off (I have to go to advanced wifi config to turn it off) find the hidden program Wifi_ON-OFF.exe in the windows directory, make it unhidden, and copy into the windows\start menu\programs\accesories folder. You can then map it to a button instead of the comm manager. This turns on/off the wifi with a single button press. I find this much easier to use than the comm manager, as the wifi is the only thing I turn on and off anyways.

Thanks for the wm6.5 rom. I have been using v11 for a month now with the adviced radio and spl. However recently my mobile is starting up slowly. Sometimes the Today screen doesn't come up. Contacts don't show up also. Even activesync sometimes did not work. I was syncing it on Vista64.
Now i flashed another rom (Titanium) with XP. XP's activesync had a hardtime too to see the device, but luckily i could flash it. Although the Titanium rom seems to respond a little faster, i do like the layout of your v11 more.
Will wait for another version of your rom for the kaiser.

Anyone else notice that if you set email up and have it auto-poll for email the messaging window ends up opening on its own (probably during a email send/receive) and it stays at the front. How can I keep this in the background?

Edit: Also since I have moved from Orange to Vodafone I no longer get Voicemail notification, the only way I know I have one is because my network sends me a text message. How can I resolve this

I've been using v11 for about 3 weeks now, i always loved it.
Now for the last few days everything got really slow/sluggish.
When i boot my phone, TouchFLO doesn't load for a long time (sometimes takes half a day before it starts loading).
When i open my contacts, i see nothing, not even the letters on the right side of the screen.
Every game (even very simple ones) lag.
I've searched the forums and found an issue with DebLogger, i searched for the registry key, and deleted it.
I couldn't find the DebLogger or cprog.log folder/file on my phone, so i guess they are not present anymore in v11, this did not solve the problem.
Does anyone know more about this?

This ROM looks very good, i instaled it on my kaiser and there is keyboard error I cannot type any character in Word, when I start dialer with green button, there is a dialing sounds, and dialer dials random numbers first, i do not touch anything. when I end a call, the same again, - dialing tones and random numbers, i canot close dialer for some time....

It looks fantastic, many many programs, but for this reason, I never try this rom again (if someone could give me a solution)...

Its because you guys are doin something wrong. myself when I have HR problems with this ROM its when I flash it without using stock ROM. V.11. is quite stable and has an artistic touch to it :D those who have really flashed ROMs and feel the ROMs will agree with me.

As I posted here at October 16th - this ROM stacks on my device after a 2-3 days of using. I have installed Hard SPL 3.34 and Radio 1.71, deleted Regestry Keys in LM/Software/HTC/Deblogger after the Hardreset and made all possible dances with a tambourine too.

It doesn't work for me. Phone become sluggish and stack up after 3 days of using. Could anybody help me with this problem? I like this ROM very much and don't wish to change back to official 6.1 ROM.

Concerning Backlight question, I use bl05.exe to change backlight (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541001) - it works fine and is very useful for me.

i love your roms ,I used most of the roms, v 10 is one of the best in my opinion. back to the topic , I use sms tweaker all the time , I like using it to change the sms background as well as the word size , it works wonderful on all the roms I have used , but some days ago I flashed v 9 , and for some time I fond it didn't work , so about a week later I flashed v 10 , at The beginning it works well , but today , I just do a soft rest , I fond it didn't work just like the problem happened on v 9

ok. so i have a att tilt that has been working fine for a while.
i have hard spl on 3.29 i think. everything was working fine with a flashed windows mobile 6.5 rom for about 3 months. one day it locked up on the boot screen and wouldn't go past it after multiple reboots. i flashed a different rom. worked fine for a few days then would not open any apps because they weren't found. then rebooted and would act like i did hard reset. then would work sometime after cleared all my data and ten freeze. would reboot and then wouldnt go past boot screen. this whole thing happens with other roms too.
is it time for a new phone. (low on cash though)
what should i do?? :confused:

ok. so i have a att tilt that has been working fine for a while.
i have hard spl on 3.29 i think. everything was working fine with a flashed windows mobile 6.5 rom for about 3 months. one day it locked up on the boot screen and wouldn't go past it after multiple reboots. i flashed a different rom. worked fine for a few days then would not open any apps because they weren't found. then rebooted and would act like i did hard reset. then would work sometime after cleared all my data and ten freeze. would reboot and then wouldnt go past boot screen. this whole thing happens with other roms too.
is it time for a new phone. (low on cash though)
what should i do?? :confused:

not a big problem , aand u haven't to change to a new phone , but u should research first when asking, FLASHING A STOCK ROM before flashing 6.5 roms will solve this problem

I'll probably try to flash V8 on there, from reading the forum, it seems to be the most stable version.

Hi - I am fairly new to flashing the rom and have been wow-ed by what the phone can do when paired with a good rom. I flashed this rom yesterday and have been in love with it (when it works).

My phone does a hard reset every time it boots (loses ALL data). I searched the forum as well the wiki, wiki suggests to do a flash stock rom. Can I flash a stock rom with my current hard spl or do I need to revert to ATT factory condition and do hardspl->rom all over again? Any shortcuts to rid of the hard reset problem?

This ROM (X2V11) has issues for many ppl. Seems it will run OK for up to a week or two, then it acts weird, slows down, locks up etc and a hard reset is the only thing that fixes it - but then it happens again after a while... If you are having issues from the start though, did you flash the "standard" ROM first (i.e. ATT/HTC etc), followed by a hard reset, then flash the PDAC ROM and hard-reset again? I have ended up switching back to X2V8 a week and a half ago, and this seems to be the last "stable" PDAC ROM...

I just went through this.. it turns out the it does not like the high speed USB connections , just turn it off , and bingo it works..

on edit: Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC -> Disable...

Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC -> Disable High Speed Sync.

I tap the clock on the home screen, alter the alarm settings to what I want, then tap OK, and the phone has to think about it for ages, I've been waiting 10 minutes now and the spinning 4 coloured "loading" thing has only just gone out. If I press the end call button to get back to the home screen without waiting the alarm settings don't change. And if I reboot and go back to the alarm settings they remain unchanged..

Just use GAlarm plenty free version's linked around XDA wouldn't use WM alarms as they notorious for notification errors ;)

I had this problem and was told I'm stupid for asking :o . It says on one of the first posts that you MUST flash a standard ROM before flashing this ROM. For whatever reason it makes all the difference.

...also, the "standard" (i.e. from your carrier) ROM you flash prior to a 6.5 pgrade ROM can be a trimmed down version (I know there is a trimmed ATT version out there - I use it!) which speeds up the flashing process significantly. Hard resetting twice after each flash seems to help too... Why this works seems to still be somewhat of a mystery - but it does work! :)

I had the problem and had asked for help several pages earlier. As other posters have pointed out, the solution is flashing a stock rom and then this one. Since I figured it out the hard way, here are the steps:

1. Go to HTC website and download the Cingular rom. Unzip it (the exe file) and you will the see the RUU_signed.nbh. Rename this to KAISIMG.NBH and flash your phone (this assumes you already have X2.V11 and looking to get rid of the sluggish interface).

2. After the ATT rom loads up, hard reset.

3. Now flash the X2.V11 rom as per the wiki

4. hard reset

5. Have fun!

It has been two weeks since I went through the above steps and my phone has been behaving fairly well (touch wood!)

If I have missed some details, please feel to point out for newbies.

Full credit and hats off to the developer but this V11 loads up fine but the rom has a mind of its own sometimes I feel.

Like the alarm....worked fine for months then all of a sudden nothing...stopped working

Its as though its programmed to do things on its own after x days of activation...maybe me but HD2 now on T-Mobile Uk so I'm over to the other side....

Ok I am a noob at this but have done lots of reading.....I downloaded from the Ultimate v11 page hspl 3.34 and radio 1.71; also have followed the install via SD card steps by adding the kiasdiagsd file and renaming the file from the 3.34 link to kaisimg.nbh. I turn on the phone and do a hardboot....I get the 3 colour bars and then the white screen that says loading.... but then I don't get anything further. Its stuck on this screen....not sure how to proceed.

Its 2D not 3D. in wmplayer go to menu and click on update library it should update songs in your SD Card.

What you use 3G for VCalling? If netwok is 3g capable then I think it should work for w/ever you use it for just try and post if you have a specific 3g related problem :D

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this issue - I've had it happen twice. You are in a phone call and the battery dies or the phone reboots for some reason. When the phone restarts it thinks its still in "phone mode" in that the screen switches off after 10 seconds. The settings in the power applet in control panel show the settings I want (ie backlight off after 30sec, standby after 1 min) but no matter what I try the screen turns off after 10 seconds of inactivity. I've tried the HTC tilt backlight fix, various registry settings and disabling the quick screen off during calls but to no avail. It is extremely annoying but I can't locate the correct registry setting to change. The first time it happened I was using a different ROM but gave up and did a hard reset which fixed the problem but I find it hard to believe that it can't be solved with software. I'd be grateful if anyone has any clues about this one.

I hard reset, so the problem was solved, but it reappears after few weeks.
On my first install, I had S2U2, I would think to conflict between programs, but after hard reset, I didn't reinstall S2U2 but the problem was still there.
Got an other issue with cprog.log
and another : I was sleeping, I look at my phone, and there was an error message, which doesn't want to disapear, despite the OK button. I soft reset, and for the first time, my Kaiser started to do a hard reset itself ! :confused:
3 times again (soft would do hard), so I changed ROM.

edit : not really hard reset, since no message before, but the phone acted as if I just flashed a new ROM (so new installation)

I'm using the X2.V11 ROM, it works great and I really like it. However, in the last month and a half it has hard reset on me randomly 3 times which is a real pain since I need to reload my contacts, set it up exactly how I want etc. Not to mention the loss of my call history, text messages etc :(

It has happened two times when my battery went out of charge and when I turn it on again, it soft resets, loads up a bit and soft resets again. On the second soft reset it pops up a message with some error (can't really remember now) and there is no way out of it but to soft-reset again. Only this time it does a hard reset instead :( It was the same all the three times. Anyone else faced this problem? If so, is there any way I can correct this? I've read from some posts that v8 is more stable than v11? Is this true? Will this be solved if I flash with the v8 ROM?

Sorry for so many questions :o I really do like this ROM but the hard resets make it painful and I'd have to revert back to my old ROM which though not as nice (quite bulky) was rather stable

The wierd display issue I experienced was fixed by doing a backup with Sprite backup and then doing a hard reset. I then did a restore but excluding the screen/power/display system settings. When it came back it was fine except the settings on those items had to be reset but that is a no brainer.

I think others have had an issue where this ROM gets really slow after a certain time. I have the same thing and the only fix appeared to be a hard reset. I think I've found the solution which doesn't involve this. I ran the Device Update and noticed there was a new build for S2U2. I downloaded it and when it started it gave a warning that there was more than 500 items in the event queue so I thought that that might be the cause of the slow down. I did a search and found an article which recommended installing Memaid and fixing up the queue. I did this and discovered there were around 2500 duplicate items (using the find duplicates function) in the Event queue. They mainly seemed to be for power.exe for the after time change event. I deleted them all and after that performance was back to normal. I would love to know what causes all of those events to appear in the first place as I'm sure they will reappear. In the mean time at least there is a solution which doesn't involve a hard reset though. I think that SKTools Lite which is free can fix the queue too.

I agree, at some point this ROM will become slower (the same as TPC as well I noticed.) That was the main reason I changed ROMs quite frequently and right now is using jj's. I'm sure Abu will comes up with a new ROM soon.

Man this was the best 1 i used EVER :(:(:(:(:(:( so sad, i just want to get a stable one. It keeps on hard reseting itself when i just go for a soft reset. ANy idea how to stop that?

Try Flashing Stock ROM and then Hard Reset and then recommended radio after that Hard Reset and you should be okey. If not Search around for another ROM there are plenty in the forums:)

You will still have original Hard-SPL "if you wanted to check just place phone in bootloader"

i have tried to search for manila for WM6.5 and i came across a few which i tried to install on my PPC but they did not work. Does anyone know if Manila 2D works on WM6.5.

i am using [ROM] [iPAQ hx2000] [WWE] WM6.5 - 5.2.21855 - WM6.5.SPv5 and my device is exactly the one in the picture on that page.

the links that i've tried so far and did NOT work for me are:
1)[APP][QVGA][23Sep09]NEW Manila 2D v2.0 build 19191432 from HTC Mega + Other Cabs (h*ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541750)
2) Manila 2D v2.0 build 19191432 from-- ht*tp://ww*w.persian-forums.com/f95/manila-2d-v2-0-build-19191432-a-25409/ (please take * out of the ht*tp and ww*w, which i had to put in because for some reason the link was not showing up on preview :confused: )

After looking at the two, it seems that #1 is the newer version and i followed exactly all the steps and install all the 6 files PLUS more from that post but it still didnt work until a point where the screen just froze and i had to hard rest my device.
#2 - i installed this one just today and after installing, the screen froze > i soft reset my device > Default TODAY screen > i go to explorer and into the folder where manilla was installed > all files there but no application file. Every .exe file the i clicked on gave me an error that read something like " run application first " ( i dont remember exactly and i cant quote it now because i had to HARD RESET my device again because it froze again.

Really the reason i want this program is for the animated weather but i've wasted so much trying to search and install and reset my device that i'm starting to feel that it just wont work for me. I came across [11-19-09][WM6.5.3]Titanium Ultimate 28002|TPCElite series V11 MEGA wm6.5 23017 ( ht*tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=519715 )page and of course this post. The first one has so many options that i cannot even pick one because i do not know if either one of them would work on my device.


any help/advice is appreciated. I would just like for someone to help figure out if the device is not compatible with software or is there something that i may be doing wrong in the installation process.


P.S: i would also like to know what VGA, QVGA and WQVGA means? and how do you know if your device is either one of the above ( ok please don't laugh, i am new at this and i tried to do as much as i could on my own before troubling you guys for help )

Sorry to be thick but what is the 3G setting in conn manager for? Is it for the internet or for some kind of video call? I only just got the phone and none of the other Roms had this feature. I want the 3G internet but nothing else in 3G.

Yes, it can be updated. You can get the cab from the Manila 2D thread by whitealien. Got the cab, disabled Touchflo, installed the cab, performed soft reset and then enabled Touchflo again.

It works! Got the flipping clock too! :cool:

Anyway thanks again... Now i need to filter them to change the background. I like the one abu did. This rom rocks..too bad he can no longer update it.

Here in Arizona and Michigan, the hard spl 3.34 with 1.70.19.09 works really well. I had used 1.65.24.36 for about 2 years with great results on battery life as well. I was using Abu's ROMs during that time. Only recently have I switched to Stylez. Like af974 said, depends on where you live. You have to try it out for yourself. There is several links for this, just search for kaiser radio thread to find the best one for you.

as anyone been able to include the new oem drivers/nk.exe in this rom. It would be great if an experience cook would just add those to see if performance is improved.

I like this ROM, it's very fast. But I'm having terrible issues with S2U2 and G-alarm after 1-2 weeks.
S2U2's ilock2.exe takes lot of CPU and doesn't work.
Galarm's service freezes mobile on it's startup for ~15 minutes...

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but this happened to me for the third time, so I've to do another HR.
I used Ultimate-X1.V6 ROM for one year and there were no problems...

Can I ask a few questions about WindowsMobile in general but likely specific to this rom

1) Your original 6.5 had voice command / dialing - can I grab the cab as an optional install as I need this whilst driving to make calls :-)

2) With a Bluetooth headset call audio is routed to it but on a WM phone how do you map all audio (i.e. tomtom / mediaplayer) my old nokia s60 did this and it can be handy.

3) Is there anyway to get a view of todays appointments on chome or more importantly on the lock screen as I'm a nightmare at forgetting stuff and I don't want to have to install spb mobile shell again as I like Chome and the slide lock

4) really simple, where should I put ring tones, they work when they're in mydocuments folder but I try a subfolder and they're not shown ?
I would like to install voice command on this ROM. I found two, MSVC 1.6.21040 and XDA MSVC_US_PPC 1.6.19209. Anybody had any experience with either of these or have any other suggestions?

Installed this V11 day before, worked amazingly for a day.

Today, it was not creating new Call Logs, tried to switch off from the power button, it displayed an error msg reading "X2 something something.. not working.. May be the component is not properly installed, please reinstall the ROM if needed.

Still SHUT Off the phone unlocking the sim cover.

Now the thing does NOT BOOT.
