It is very good ROM. I have no problem, everything works fine :)... email, sms, synchronization, gps (tomtom7), wifi, camera... I think, it is a little slower then previos version, but only a little. Still fast :)

I'm using the roms from Abu since v18, good old days... they are very fast and reliable, kudos Abu. I only have one question, could someone explain to me how the version numbers work? Abu uses 21234 while others use 21725 or 21728. Isn’t a higher number better?

Problem with BackLight Lock Level. I cant see anything on direct sunlight when phone is locked.
I tried to change value with AdvancedConfig to Always Bright - but it works only until next soft reset/boot. Any help?

I also installed Chome Editer, and it has also been working well.

Loving 6.5! Much more finger friendly.

I installed the newest version of Opera, running it causes a lockup every now and them. I've only had to soft-reset once.

Oh, and the in-call volume keeps switching all the way up :(

Not sure about the editing part but use total comander to see the files.

Any text editor should do, for instance NotePad++ (http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm) I love it. The files are in the \Windows folder. You can use ActiveSync to rip them off (make sure that you have your hidden files set to visible) and edit them on your computer and then paste them back over.

Smokestack76, thank you! For some reason, File Explorer would not display the .cpr files (maybe they were hidden?). By using Total Commander I was not only able to find the files that Rgrmike mentioned, I was also able to edit them. I change the number of columns in the 320x240 file from 3 to 4, reset the phone, and now I have 4 icons in a row in landscape mode. Thank you Smokestack76 and THANK YOU Rgrmike! Abusalza, maybe you can make this the default in your Default StartMenu cab? I think it looks better with 3 icons in portrait and 4 icons in landscape, instead of the 3 and 3 you have now.

So far, I love the new start layout. Hated that Honeycomb crap. Today I noticed that my phone no longer shows HSDPA.:eek: I have everything enabled in Advance Config. Do I need to install Kaiser Tweak? Damn, haven't had this installed in about seven months. It was wierd seeing 3G on my phone because I haven't seen it in about 16 months.:D If anyone has any ideas about this, I'm all ears.

wow man, i don't know how you do it abz..some people are just have natural abilites and rezza was born to make custom roms. the new iphone comes out soon and i am definitely thinking about converting to "the darkside" :D but as long as rezza is around making roms, i find this to be very difficult to accomplish. the touch pro 2 is also due to come out soon for at&t, rezza if you upgrade to this my lightsaber may not convert to red :D as always thank you brother :)

There's just one thing that tickles me... :

When you receive a call (i called myself to try it out), there's a lot of time between the time the phone receive the call, and the time you can answer... The thing i don't understand is why does the HTC slide to answer comes on top of the wm6,5 one (which would come faster)...

I don't know if i'm verry clear, but it's realy annoying to miss that much calls...

V2 rocks my brotha. Only issue I've noticed is that youtube player reverts to a blank screen after a video is played. I tap on the corner of the screen and it reverts to home, so it's little more than an annoyance. Had this issue on V1 as well. Solid in every other aspect.

I'm having an issue with Google Maps in V2 of this ROM. BetaII was fine. Here's the error when I try to connect to Google Latitude:
Login failed. Secure connection failed. Restarting Maps may help.
I also received this error when using one of Anryl's ROM's. He had uploaded a different version of Google Maps, but trying to use that one this time doesn't result in a fix.

There's also a thread about it in Google's official forums: link (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google%20Mobile/thread?tid=0cdf101df2cb2d0e&hl=en)
An employee there hints at SSL being a possible culprit within the ROM.

Just letting you know, and if I find a fix, I'll post.

1.71.09.01 and 3.34 spl works best for me. I get quick gps lock and decent battery life. With great radio reception.

Hello, I just installed this ROM , and I love it, works great and faster than ever.
But how can I make the CHome menu selection little more height , because my fingers are little bit bigger , and when I try for example to scroll on the music player, I just jump on some other menu, or just on the bottom of menu, something like that.
And is there a way to uninstall some of the programs, for example I dont like this Opera build, and cant install other one (giving an error message)

Nifty little app!
You can assign more then one shortcut to a button, so for example you can set it so that when you quickly press the Internet Explorer button it will go to IE, but if you hold it a display will cycle though other browser programs like Opera and Skyfire. I've then setup the Message button to cycle between eMail and Bejive.
Of course, you can set any program list to any buttons.

I love the ROM but am running into 2 issues.
1) the big one - every once in awhile when the phone restarts it clears everything out and starts the setup all over again. I have to configure the screen, then restore my email and contacts, etc.....
2) I can not seem to get email when the phone is charging over night.

The time i had that issue it was a corrupt d/l. so download it again and try again.

1) can't answer calls with green button... but can call by pressing green button....

Thats your radio. Switch to another one and it will work. And switch to SPL 3.34. Works better with 6.5. Try the radio in my sig or the newer 1.71 radio. Should do the trick.

I have yet to flash from an SD card, and have never had any issues (other than the ones everyone has) with Abu's roms. They are top notch. It seems to be phone dependent, or people missing steps like hard resetting after a flash.

Other day I had first hand experience why flashing doesn't always work out so well. Tried to flash X2.V2 and kept getting a frozen phone which needed a hard reset. After multiple tries I tried to flash to stock ROM and it wouldn't go past 15% with a flash write error. :( Eventually I flashed an old HDIII ROM which worked fine, did HR, flashed stock ROM, did HR and then flashed X2.V2 which worked perfectly this time. In addition, a few other little bugs seemed to have disappeared. All this done with AS but definitely goes to show that there can be benefit in flashing back to stock ROM every now and again. Also realised that only inserting your SIM card after installing everything (I.e. first customisation and running Sashimi) meant that pin pad is always displayed on boot whereas before it would background until I pressed green button.

If I ever have a similar problem, I'll try flashing with SD card to see how that works.

agreed with the 6.5 and flash via sd, do you remember the very first leaked 6.5 builds that utop did? me and Cal found that they ran MUCH better when flashed via sd.

Really? If you flash via AS, you plug it in, run a program on the PC, and when your phone reboots after the flash you are done.

If you flash via SD, first sync with AS, then rename the flash file, copy it to the SD card, reboot the phone to tri-color, press the power, reboot the phone when its done, and MAKE SURE TO DELETE THE FILE. (That last step has caused me to flash something I didn't want to, because I hadn't deleted the prior file).

I wonder which one of these is more convenient? :)

Been using V1 for a couple days now and the Latitude problem is gone. Nice to have MSN Weather on there too. So not sure what exactly is different under the hood between V1 and V2 to make it not work, but V1 works like a charm, so thanks Abu. :)

Not being a flash junkie, myself, I'm wondering what's been fixed since V1. Are there any of the known bugs from V1 still in V2? Might flash V2 in the next few days, but it's not convenient right now, and I'm still pretty happy with V1. Any significant differences?

Everything was OK. Calendar remind me when the appointment was comming on. But from today it does not notify me :(. No sound, no notifications. I have set notifiacations, everything controled, but nothing found.

This problem I had with Hyperdragon ROM. I didnt find any solution, so I flashed Ultimate ROM. Yesterday I only install 3 row start menu from my documents/personal.

When i connect it to my computer, it do connect with Active sync but not charging my PDA. Is any one else getting this issue?
How to correct this issue since i don't want to switch to other ROM after using urs...

I am using X2.V2.

I have seen that some people have been able to get "weather" working, but I'm not sure if that meant the TitaniumWeather plugin.

I have tried to install version 4.1 and 4.2, and I cannot get either one to work. I disable Windows_default on the "Today" screen, install cab, soft reset, enable Windows_default, then run the TitaniumWeather setup.

After I save and run full update, all I see is the "degree" symbol and error icons with no real data. I have tried a couple zipcodes, and each works fine on the AccuWeahter website.

Has anyone had luck getting this plugin to work? If so, how did you do it?

No, didn't change or choose such settings. It works fine if i power off and then power on, but in case i connect the device while working normally i found the issue of not charging..although Active sync works ok...

Exe is only installer the ROM itself is with .nbh extesion

Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Kaiser Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to KAISIMG.nbh
4. Copy the KAISIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Hold in the Power and Camera buttons, then press the reset button with the stylus for about 3 seconds until the BootLoader screen appears
7. You will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
8. A message will then pop up asking you to press the Power button to start the update
9. Press power button to start flashing
10. Once phone finishes flashing and says Update Complete, reset with the stylus

Guys i hate to be a newbie, but im really stumped with this problem, ive scoured over the forum and searched but could only find this problem related to other phones, since ive never had this issue with anyother rom before im guessing there is some weird configuration problem.

Basically i was happilly using my phone for ages then i left it and came back to see that my programs were'nt working, i checked the 16 GB storage card and to my astonishment everything was gone, i have 4GB's worth of data lost, i started to panick so i checked the space on the card with my pc and it still had 4GB in use out of 16GB, i checked the hidden files setting, ive reset many times, ive selected show all files in file manager, but nothing, can anyone explain this sudden disapearing act of my data, the fact is its not missing its just invisible.

Ive tried looking at the encryption setting in settings but that wasnt even selected so im quite stumped.

I have T-Mobile with no data plan either...
Go to settings --> connections --> Advanced
You can select preferred networks there to use for data.
Select one, and edit.
Create a new connection with whatever name you want, and for select modem, select "cellular line(GPRS, 3G)" --> Next
for access point type: wap.voicestream.com -->Next
Don't put a username or password --> Next

All that it does is disables your phones ability to make a data connection. You can still make calls and connect to wifi. And it will not erase all your data.

Do you really think that Reza would include a program that could mistakenly erase all your data, for hundreds of people to screw up their phones ? :)

Uhh...
There is a program called "Clear RAM" and another called "Clear Storage" which DOES do a hard reset (after confirmation).
I do keep several backups of all my important data - I am a Flashing Junkie after all ;)

I do tend to be over-cautious about running unknown programs, and the name of that one alarmed me a bit.

And no, I don't think any of the Rom Chefs here are malicious at all. They are professionals and donate their time and expertise with great generosity, OMHO.

Who ever lead you to believe that this was possible should help you.
Personally - knowing a little bit about ROMs that I do - I know that data structures are going to be different and registry settings different between ROMS - I would not personlaly believe that anything on a backup other than to restore it to the ROM that it was backed up from would have a ghost of a chance working.

Kinda what he said but it would work with any 6.1 rom. Just cant go from 6.1 to 6.5 with that backup. I just use pimbackup for all my contacts and msgs. Works good and is included with most all roms.

Im not sure why but the m2d scrolling is very choppy it does not scroll smoothly at all (tab scrolling)? it hangs up. I installed gfx,openvg,& Samsung ominia drivers.

Other than the vg the other drivers are built into the rom. In advanced config under screen tab choose the one you want to use. So might want to uninstall the samsung in case two copies start conflicting. Throwing all the drivers you can find at it usually doesnt solve the issues :D

Thats just device update. He added it to most of his 6.1 roms but i dont use it so never checked these. You can get the app from the development and hacking forums.

I absolutely agree. Even though i don't really like Titanium too, it's still better then M2D. Especially because M2D in landscape is total horror, and i use my Kaiser in landscape a lot.

M2D STILL CHOPPY anybody else notice this? Thats why i asked if M2D could be left out so that we could install are own M2D.Oh just to let everybody know if you go into advanced config enable scroll on touchflo soft reset and then go back into it again and disable then soft reset again you will notice smoother scrolling in the dialer and file explorer and many other scrolling features in WM 6.5

Yeah i know your point. Like the smooth scrolling issues with M2D. I dont get the idea of having it into 6.5. I used to but now the widgets out for 6.5 just blow manila away. I was a fan of manilla for the weather but the weather on 6.5 is so much better. I dont have a need for manila at all. Once i instal weather and notifications. and favepeople its all right there.Dont even have to scroll anymore since i disable all the tabs noti replaces. They are listed as plugins. But once you get titanium setup you wont go back to manilla. I use titanium weather and more...and notifications. And myfaves. Then just Chome to desable ones i dont use and set them where i want them. Works great. And i was a huge manilla fan for a long time lol.

It appears that because this is a COMMUNITY people may make comments about things that in no way take away from the great work chefs are doing. everyone has different opinions or even suggestions. one person may like Chome and one may like or prefer M2D whatever a persons preference those who are qoute on qoute SENIOR MEMBERS should be careful to not take other members post and use them to say the chef cant please everyone when the majority of people on this forum loves abu roms. I guess this type of thing gets you on the chefs pm list. lets be respectful of others post without feeling the need to turn them into 'Im Going to Defend the Chefs Work ToDay' because one likes one thing or the other.

Thanks, for the cabs. I hear you guys raving about CHome. It hasn't grown on me yet, but for some reason I can't get it run smoothly. I've tried six roms three spls and four radios. It freezes and stutters where it's totally unusable. Hopefully these cabs do the trick.

I know about this possibility to install default start menu. And it works fine, the icons are highlighted. But is there a way to have 2 columns start menu and have highlighted icons? In X2.V1 and X2.V2 it was.

directional button not working while in Email or Text?

mine isnt working when opening from the main screen.
BUT when i got to Start> Messaging. select either SMS or Email, the buttons works. Works fine when pressing the Messaging button first as well.

edit: seems that the center button does not work as well to select even the first text/email thats already selected.

Thanks, for the cabs. I hear you guys raving about CHome. It hasn't grown on me yet, but for some reason I can't get it run smoothly. I've tried six roms three spls and four radios. It freezes and stutters where it's totally unusable. Hopefully these cabs do the trick.

The samsung driver is in the rom already. If you go into advanced config then choose screen. The last tab lets you choose the 3d driver. All the other 6.5 roms i tried i had freezes and lag. I hated it. I started cooking my own and loved 6.5. I havent had any issues with rezas rom. Im still using V1 since it has the best opera and i cant find a cab of it. I havent changed a thing with drivers. BUT with all 6.5 i shutoff file system under performances in advanced config. It seems to help and will free up some ram. The plugins or widgets..or panels lol that i use are in my 4shared. Also i have been using 3.34 like my sig says for months now. I also only flash from my SD card. I hope some of these help some of you. Worth a shot anyhow :D

Have you tried the combo of EMO radio and 3.34 Hard Spl it seems to work very well for a lot of guys including me and also i find since i have been flashing from the SD card i seem to have a smoother and more responsive ROM

Its the same rules as 6.1 but i havent flashed a stock rom for about 100 flashes at least. And no issues at all. I would say only flash stock if you start having strange issues you cant sort out.

I absolutely agree. Even though i don't really like Titanium too, it's still better then M2D. Especially because M2D in landscape is total horror, and i use my Kaiser in landscape a lot.

You've got me in for this also. I hate M2D and Titanium :) I am using this ROM with SPB Shell 3 from the v1. It works lovely :) So please at lease remove M2D. Thanks Abu.

Abu i had no problems with the 21234 Release to Manufacturer Version speed was there stablity was there, only thing i was wanting was to have all the M$ Widgets and m2d removed from it because in the scroll bar scrolling was choppy and would hang up.Im using josh 21234 RTM and added Mbarvian m2d on it and no problems with scrolling its the 1818 build of m2d and it runs smoothly i think it has to be the build of the m2d itself,on the scrolling issue.

I also have had this problem. I don't mind the speed issue, but the start-menu only showing the "Today" link. Soft resetting did not help in my case, only a hard reset. Also I have noticed three more bugs (??)
1. Just now the phone did not ring. Only the screen came on but no sound. I had to soft reset to get the sound back. I had been using the phone with my car-kit so there might be a problem there with the bluetooth??
2. This morning I noticed that whenever I start up my phone (after soft reset or switching off with long press of power button), on the Comm Manager the WiFi button was on, but both the green led and the WiFi symbol on the top of the screen were off. Switching off the WiFi with Comm manager and on again worked, but the symbol on the top of the screen did not appear. Strangely after I connected the phone to my pc to sync, everything was okay again.
3. With the full QWERTY keyboard I have used the option for word completion in ABC mode. But till now it only works in T9 mode.

Anyone else noticing this and any suggestion/trick to solve this??

I don't have much to complain about with my V3 flash. I agree that it's slower than V1. I didn't flash OEM between versions, but I did a hard reset, as I always do, and haven't tried reflashing.

I have been noticing some issues with my laptop not renewing it's IP address when I use internet sharing, but that may be related to my installation of WMWiFiRouter. Not sure, since my first install of this program was virtually right after I flashed V3.

I don't know if there are any clear benefits to the new build of 6.5 used in V3, but I was highly impressed by Beta II and V1. Hell, I was just expecting some bug fixes, maybe some new features. To sum up my opinion, I'm still not sure how I feel about the new messaging menu style, and since V3 seems to be slower than V1 (I skipped V2), I don't think I like the 21815 build.

You're doing great work, Abu. I don't think I'll be flashing anything but your newest 6.5 builds for quite a while. You're the best.

What i have heard it stems from older htc devices you had to flash stock every time before you flashed a modded ROM but with these up to date Roms its not needed but i have heard people say that if you are having a lot of probes with different Roms then flash the stock what it does i don't know some kind person will tell us

By the way i read this thread every day and see all the problems people are having and i don't seem to suffer with hardly any problems wonder why some devices are so trouble sum mine is super fast with V3 and no probes not even 1 strange

ok major issue here, after 24 hours use, the phone crashes tottaly, when using AMIGO GPS or IGO 8, they do not open but give an error for some reason, i stopped using GPS applications and hard reset, waited another 24 hours with onl 1 or 2 programs installed and it says you need to empty storage as there is no memory and then it just resets and hangs up on boot screen with radio and rom numbers.

i have had this issue 3 times

formatted each time with hard reset
flashed from SD, (used 2 sd cards to make sure it's not a bad flash)
downloaded the ROM again and tried aswell.

i thing the new core has some problems

anyone know how to make the phone lock dialer the default dialer when the phone is locked?

For some reason it confuses me when someone is calling, and i get the phone lock dialer, and when i tap anywhere on the screen, the regular 2g dialer comes up. Unless I'm missing something?

ive been reading to try to find the answer to this issue but i either skipped over it or its not here so i figured id ask...
when the phone is on but the screen is off and you slide the keyboard open the phone screen turns on.
i have already tried changing the setting in the adv config no luck.
is there a reg edit that i can do to fix it or is it a rom feature.
i was using one of the X verisons and it was ok you could slide the keyboard open and closed all day with out the screen coming on.

1. After viewing a text message and pressing the OK button it still shows part of the old text message while also showing your inbox

2. Inbound text messages are showing an hour behind the actual time they come in. I remember this was a problem a long time ago, but I don't remember if there was a fix for it.

after running the default start menu cab I installed the re/START cab; customizing the start menu icons order. see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=481379. After restarting i noticed start menu won't run properly any more. Does somebody know an other way of customizing the start menu icon order?

Looks great so far, more responsive than some of the other ROMs. My only gripe is that Windows Live wasn't included in X2.V3Lite but that might be my fault,.... you did call it Lite :)

Without Windows Live (not windows live search) you're sent to a service that doesn't appear to be setup yet (windows live mobile); I like having notifications for hotmail included in the Today screen so this is a non-starter for me.

I have a question about this rom and msvoicecommander. Whenever I install MSVoiceCommander 1.6.19214 I cannot find the settings for it. The icon that usually shows up to adjust for messages and incoming calls, etc is not there. I don't necessarily need the icon if someone can tell me where the file is. I don't adjust setting much to have to have an icon. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a tweak or cab that can make the ringer volume and other notification sound, in call ect be LOUDER like in TwoPumps Roms. I found the sounds to be very low in 21815 rom? Thanks

Is there an easy way to change the white highlights on the honeycomb menu? The text under the icons is virtually unreadable with the highlight.

I have a question about this rom and msvoicecommander. Whenever I install MSVoiceCommander 1.6.19214 I cannot find the settings for it. The icon that usually shows up to adjust for messages and incoming calls, etc is not there. I don't necessarily need the icon if someone can tell me where the file is. I don't adjust setting much to have to have an icon. Any help would be appreciated.


Launch \Windows\voicecommand_ppc - this should bring up the settings AND create the icon for future use.

if you add folderview.exe to "terminate process" list in task manager it will work! go to here in registry...


[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\TaskManager\Termina teProcess]

and add this...

"folderview.exe"=dword:00000001

do a soft reset as soon as you make this change....and it should work.
