hi,

I brick my phone last year and do not remember which hardspl it is.

I used various roms, and my previous rom was Pda Corner V18 Ultimate.

Sorry to ask this question but i read at first page that Radio and Hardspl has to be changed.
I didnt understand it.

What i have to do? I already installed rom but my radio is 1.65, and like i said, i bricked it with hardspl

1.65 radio should be ok, U should tell us what spl vcersion do u have. Go to bootloader(push power button and camera button and then push the stylus to the softreset hole and hold it there until bootloadr screen apears - u need to push the buttons at the same time) and there u should have info about spl.

What he said. You dont really need to change your SPL. But it depends on what one you have. 3.31 and 3.34 work the best with almost all 6.5 roms. Some still use 3.56 and it ok just a little slower. Same with 3.29. But like with these roms the SPL can lead to strange hard reset issues...like you get a hard reset when you do a softreset. The radio advice is just so we are all on the sae page. But the newer radios seem to work better.

Not sure with buttons then. Havent heard anyone else with issues there... Time stamps a hour off has come up a few times. You can check timezones under phone settings. And in advanced config under misc tab change the automatic daylight savings. Might work.

Have strange issue with DCIM Folder in SD Card, the folder seems missing and cannot be viewed by File Explorer, when i try to make a new folder named DCIM it said the name already exist, so i believed DCIM still there but cannot be viewed, try using total comander still not there. Try on my comp also with no result. Im missing hundreds of picture in that folder...:mad:

With this problem im facing camera saving problem, every time i took picture, im unable to locate the taken picture, meanwhile i change setting to save the picture to SD Card/My Documents/My Picture.

Hi abu, great roms but i repeatedly face one problem.

When a call arrives, the contact pops up on the screen almost immediately, but it takes around 5 or 6 rings from the callers end for me to hear the ring on my phone.

Eg. You call me and i will see your name on my screen but it will seem for you as if i picked your call only after 6 rings, but only then my phone rings!! HELP me a lot of people are complaining that i am not picking the call immediately due to this...

i think sms time was regarding with service provider. try using another simcard from different provider and check if the time still not corrected ;)
but true i never facing this problem, brother :D

ps: for button issue, as far as i known, there's might be from your flex cable. this problem sometimes will appear on all clamshell or sliding phone type...

The ROM speeds are not that amazing, sometimes it lags like hell. I have no running background processes, so dont know what causing it. Radio version is 1.7.x.x
How do I go about changing the START MENU such that its like in WM6.1? I personally find the usability of the new menu is very poor.
What is CHOME? How do I access it? Is it a RAM eater?

Umm. Hmm where to begin. There is actually a .cab that will nake the menu just like 6.1. Just search development and hacking forum....Chome is what you use to change up the home screen. Think its under start settings system. And last but not least.....if its laggy try changing your SPL.

I tried the forum search using google using keyword 3.34 only and its on the first page of the results, you won't miss it. it can also be found in the wiki, and the sticky in this same forum, you can also find all post by daveshaw (which is a lot tedious, but not impossible). it wasn't at all difficult.

Abu, v5 is great and looking forward to your v6, it was good that you skipped on 23002 and 23003 due to some bugs i experienced on my touch pro. keep up the great work. just a minor suggestion, the send receive all exe (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501254) is great, you might want to add it in the UltimateX2 roms.

hello. i just wanted to report this bug in V 2.5. The Audio Aanager does not Exit by tapping at the "X" buotton, it still runing at the background. It only Exits if u select exit from the menu n close it. One more thing can u please add the the New Audio Manger with "Volume control" ,like i have seen in some other roms (screen shot is below). you can enable the tabs you want in chome editor, its in the rom i think if not you can install it from cab.

do not seem to work in the rom I have (TPC V7).
the addition of a text message plugin is an essential
fundamental for a 6.5 rom.

Im having problem with my battery life.. After a phone call of 20 mins my battery drop from 100 to 50%. I was curious y it drop so fast so i did a soft reset, It turns out 25%. Im in V5 with radio1.71 and spl3.34 This is becos of the spl or the radio problem?

I hope V6 will not be too slow with TPC Chome, I just tested Elite v7 with it and I must say that abu V5 is much more responsive and the "Big display" is not so intresting (less informations on the screen and scrolling more difficulte)

Look on the main XDA page. Then go into development and hacking forum. There is a thread for WM6.5. You will find everything you will ever want there. I have the plugins i use in my share folder but you will need to fix the weather app since its been changed.

Sorry i must have missed it. But if you want to flash from SD...rom that is. Extract the .RUU_.nbh to the card and rename it kaisimg. Sorry i must have missed it. But if you want to flash from SD...rom that is. Extract the .RUU_.nbh to the card and rename it kaisimg. Nahh dont mean your a nOOb just some good info how to do it from SD. So makes for good reading. I think it does anyhow. But if you have time check the sticky at the top of rom dev. Check hard spl rollup. Then you can learn how to change spl from SD as well. Its much easier.

Yes i recomend it...thats why its on the first page. It all depends though....and no it doesnt mean spl radio and all. Grab te ATT stripped from my shared folder. What it means though is there have been alot of issues with getting a hard reset instead of softreset. And we dont want anyone to lose data for no reasone. Its all up to you.

I would see the tri-color screen, it would flash to the Loading screen, then disappear and go right back to the tri-color screen really fast. (displaying the original hardSPL version)

I tried a bunch of times thinking I was holding something in too long.
But no luck..

Am I doing something stupid?

But dont come up and say its running slow and you you have SPL 3.56 with a old radio. Thats why its there. We have to many users that think the change from 6.1 to 6.5 is just a single flash.

Sounds like you only have SPL on your card...you need kaisdiag too. Its in my shared folder. Put it on root of SD as well then flash.

Just had the same issue... I found I DL the wrong SPL 3.34.. If you look under the FLASH FROM SD instructions, there is another DL link with a different SPL. Grab that one and try.. Worked for me...

What he said. You dont really need to change your SPL. But it depends on what one you have. 3.31 and 3.34 work the best with almost all 6.5 roms. Some still use 3.56 and it ok just a little slower. Same with 3.29. But like with these roms the SPL can lead to strange hard reset issues...like you get a hard reset when you do a softreset. The radio advice is just so we are all on the sae page. But the newer radios seem to work better.

I checked my spl with power+cam+stylus . and it wrote spl 1.0

You can restore from pim backup, but I am not sure about spb backup. Rule of thumb is you should never restore registry/programs after a ROM version change, but you should be ok with Contacts, SMS, mails etc.

I've tried a good number of chefs and ROMs and always end up back to his. I haven't tried the 6.5 variants yet as I'm still using Ultimate-X.V8. So near perfect it's scary. :p

It is a problem with the build. Not the rom. Abu has done an outstanding job as always. Skyfire just does not seem to like this build.

For instance if you change the position of the original items their references do not adjust with them.

I moved phone-1 to top position, then blue tooth-2. When I hit the bluetooth location on the 'left' side it refers to the phone settings.

This is the same for other settings ie wifi-3; data connections-4; microsoft direct push-6. Only internet sharing-5 seems to remain right.

if you change the order with advanced config it will put a wrong way. new comm mngr have aditional registry to run command. you can see on [HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager] on the 0, 1, 2 and etc number. so you need to change all the entire key to give a right way ;)

I have not tried this rom yet. (Will when I get home though) but if I know Rez then then he left almost no loose ends. Look for Chome editor. You can remove panels in there

I used Ibrythill Titanium Project on all previous versions of X2. I was able to remove the lines by editing the Titanium cpr files using the instructions in Ibrythill thread. Those instructions do not seem to work with this ROM. Please point me to the line that needs to be edited and I'll take it from there:)

I used Ibrythill Titanium Project on all previous versions of X2. I was able to remove the lines by editing the Titanium cpr files using the instructions in Ibrythill thread. Those instructions do not seem to work with this ROM. Please point me to the line that needs to be edited and I'll take it from there:)


not sure, but i dont think my titanium cpr files are called Titaniumxxx.cpr, i believe they have a different name so that you can change between them. if you edited before you should be able to again, just look in windows directory for TPC_Titaniumxxxx.cpr maybe he left that name the same if so you can edit that file and will work.

yep thats them i would say....not my rom so not sure. use total commander to copy them to your storage card on your phone them copy them to your pc. you can tell when you open them in NOTEPAD on your pc :) you will see its alot different than normal titanium cpr and should have a custom heading at the top. from there make your edits and then copy back to your windows directory overwriting previous ones. dont forget to soft reset after making the changes for them to take effect.

About four hours into testing now, and V6 seems great. Went ahead and flashed OEM a few times, changed SPL, and updated radio as suggested so we can all be on the same page. No issues so far. Feels pretty fast. As soon as the Manila version is up, though, I'm reflashing. I just like it more than CHome.

Thanks Abu, ROM is fast n consuming lot less ram.i was just wondering ,Is GFX Boost removed from v6 ? n I am just reporting some 2.v6 bugs :

* Finger scrooling doesn't work in Audio Manager at all.
* FIM Doesn't load, it freezes the phone.
* Total Commander shows weird icons.
* Videos don't play as smooth in Coreplayer.
....n u already know this one vibration on dialer (Touchback) doesn't work, will this be fixed soon? it's a Big one. Thanks.

But... will use the default chome.cab because I dont like the new TPC chome (too big)

Ah I forgot a bug : The email icon doesn't show well (red cross), you need to add a second email accout to see it work :confused:

Hi, Im having some boot issue's, it boots, runs fine for an hour or two and then some of the icons on cHome have a funny and an X appears on some icons and then after that point if I soft reset it the reboots hangs's and then does a hard reset???? :confused:
Any Ideas??

yeah that's the problems they both function ok right before setting active sync (push mail) but after i setup the push mail it just hangs at starting

worked well on TPC even after setting push mail on activesync.

everything points out to activesync

the big difference I see with my previous roms I had (French MALA and other English 6.1 roms) is the no-conflict between WIFI and Bluetooth. the sound is really clean even if Wifi is connecting (I had before two or 3 seconds silence and pops all the time).

I didn't change HardSPL and radio (spl3.56 and radio 1,71...)

if you change the order with advanced config it will put a wrong way. new comm mngr have aditional registry to run command. you can see on [HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager] on the 0, 1, 2 and etc number. so you need to change all the entire key to give a right way ;)

Yes, the newest version of skyfire does exactly the same thing for me with this rom.

However, a very slightly older build (1.0.0.11783) works just fine on X2-V6. Don't let it update on first run when it prompts you, or it will just start shutting down once opened again. I have attached this for you :)

As for now i am going back to V5.

The FIM supplied with this rom works fine for me. I can't see anything wrong with the way Total Commander displays. I don't normally use Audio Manager, but finger scrolling does seem broken. Haven't had time to test properly, but a quick check with Coreplayer seems to have video playing as normal.

like i said - IGO works if activesync is not setup to be push mail
if push mail is setup on active sync - it hangs up, i experienced this in all abu's X2 roms donnu why.

i think it's related to activesync in some way

Nope, no software installed yet. No themes installed yet. The only thing I did was...

START > SETTINGS > TODAY > Use this picture as the background
Then, chose my lighthouse picture. Even when I unselect that option and go back to the default theme, I can still see the "shadowed" text underneath the menu.

hmm, here is an assumption, when activesync is set up automatically it will ask you to put a password thus enabling the lphone lock feature, could the lock be the problem? as before that i did not have lock active nor activesync when it was working.

but when u setup activesync your are requested to make a password for lock.

How do you set the notification sound for SMS delivery reports? I used to be able to set a notification sound for text sent but now in this V6 I can't find the option :confused: ... it just uses the normal SMS notification.

Any idea on what I am doing wrong? Thanks!
