Therefore, yesterday i clean up with cleanram and erase Bliss theme and after soft reset i get a message on the screen: "boot.exe cant be found" and something like: "try restarting or reinstalling".

I wasnt aware of a step after flashing.. I had a backup of everything else.

Everything looks great. This is my first cooked rom for this phone and it looks great! I am using a transparent menu theme with your setup and I am liking all of the plugins you included that I never would have thought to try!

well the easiest thing to do would be to incease the amount of time your phone rings before it goes to voicemail, just my personal opinion. Usually it's found in the "services" section of the dialer options

The v6 dialler improved this greatly,

2 things which seem to speed it up for me, open contacts and go back to chome (leave it running in background).

Press the phone button to launch the dialler and do the same.

I found this saves at least one ring :-)

Thanks everybody for your responses and trying to help. I dont think it is a network or volume issue. What I have noticed is that when I call my mobile, the light comes on with the first beep, but the vibration or the ring doesnt start until after the second or third beep.
So this shows that phone recognizes the call and gets connected, but there is a delay with the notification. Try it yourself ans see if you experience the same thing.

Almost every phone I have ever had did this...Ever had your phone next to a speaker and heard it before it rang? It takes a bit to get the ID of the caller ect.

Dunno if you've fixed this yet, but you just need to install a cab call Tilt Keyboard Fix to correct this.
For the start menu, you can install utak3r Quickmenu_wm6.5_all_res to get a more traditional Start Menu...

I got two different phones (both AT&T tilts) both running v6 both connected to different Exchange Servers, one 2007 and one 2003 without any problems.

Strange - it was ok for 2 days.. then this morning - when i tried to launch google maps i got an error message saying that the application's certificate had expired - then i soft reset - and BAM. Hard reset sequence and i've got a brand new load.

So maybe not activesync related.... just can't get a correlation yet. I'm going to flash v7 and cross my fingers. I guess i'll go stock tilt first.

Do you think it matters if I go "stripped stock tilt" or some full stock tilt rom?

there's no any improve i felt on 23xxx. and m$ did it on 21xxx. but it's still hybrid version to fixing some mirror on 21xxx builds

I noticed the same thing in the last version.

I've noticed a few things about this version so far:

1. As someone just mentioned, the "Ok" button in the upper right corner does not work in landscape, at least in messaging.

2. All the start menu icons in the root are in alphabetical order, as are the "Settings" menus. The other menus in the start menu, however, are not in a logical order. I've noticed this in the Games, Connections, Accessories, Tools, Multimedia, and Navigation menus. If you rearrange these in alphabetical order in the next version, the menus will be much easier to navigate.

3. The soft key 'labels" on the CHome menu don't seem to change as I scroll through the menus. However, I just doule checked this to confirm, and upon using the right soft key with the "Settings" window selected (taking me into contacts), once i closed "Contacts," the labels seemed to be fixed.

Other than, that, Reza, the ROM is performing wonderfully. I like this version a lot, and I'm enjoying your new hexagonal icons and four column start menu. i'll report any other bugs I find. Keep up the GREAT work!

First of all BIG thanks to the cook! :) I am new to custom ROMs and I like this best of all available.

I tried reading through the thread but did not manage to find the answer to my question.
Is there a way to be able to map the left side OK button to something else?
I currently have 2 keys mapped to the start menu and I would like to leave the button with the windows icon to do that.

I am a true fan of Abu's ROMs and had no serious problems both usung his 6.1 and now the 6,5 hyprid serious, I was running X6 without any problem and even made the recommended Stock Ram flash and SPL before using X6.

And during all my last 15+ ROM flashes I used the same apps , no change at all.

But now X7 gives me serious problems:

- ROM somtimes re-boot 2-3 times after soft reset
- Rom does not allow installation of some normal apps on storage card
- after softrest ROM alwasy run connection setup again
- every 2-3 times SR an error comes during boot : "RUN XML \windows\Menu_operation,code:0x8007000D"


I even downloaded the ROM again and re-flashed 3 times . no change in behaviour.
Original TYTN II ...

never had this before and I guess I will go back to V6 as it worked like a charm .

Anybody else with problems ?

Try flashing the stock ROM again. Note that you have to flash the stock rom each time you change the update.....:D

You are not alone! I got the same problems as what you had when I flashed the V7 ROM last night, sometimes screen frozen, sometimes re-booted... I guess it may be due to the radio or/and SPL version. now I back to X2V5.

I got Ultimate-X2 V6 on my Tytn II right now, and I'm going to update it to V7, but I also want to flesh the suggested radio. The radio must be fleshed before the rom or I can flesh it with ActiveSync without problem? Thaaaanks!

I thought this setting (number of rings before voicemail) is configured by network only and you can not change it on your handset.
Could you please provide more information or point me to the place where I can change this setting? TIA

try to reflash the rom, or flash a stock rom and then V7.

Quick Question, can I switch back and forth between M2D and CHome easily?

I got two tilts running V6 now, I might have to flash my wife's with 7 and give her M2D because I am not sure she is loving CHome yet.

Found a bug....

When I got out of the car, I got the (very anyoing) message that the bluetoth link is disconnected and that I should put the phone to my ear.

The problem is I can't get rid of this notification. I tried everything, hide, dismiss but it keeps saying "notification" where normaly the button "contacts" is.

Is there a simple solution for this?

I tried a soft reset, did the same thing again and got the same problem.

Even if I don't dismiss the original Notification it keeps doing it over and over.

Quick Question, can I switch back and forth between M2D and CHome easily?

Could someone please answer this question? I have the same problem and search is no help.

This V7 is great but in the V6 there was always an "inertia" effect when you scrolled menus and stuff, like the iContact scrolling, or the iPhone style scrolling. Now with for exemple when I scroll mails (the list and the mail inside) it looks like wm6.1, someone has the same problem?

- it seems the zoom in IE is set to levels that are not meant for the Tilt. Any way to change those?

well, i guess you have to go through setting to setup the today screen since both M2D and CHome is a full screen/full fledge plugin that has to be choose one or another... maybe there's a tools to easily switch today plugin but i didnot search for it since i not need it.. i just simply install SPB Mobile shell to replace both M2D and Chome.. :)

btw, now it is setting > home... and in the today setting page, now called home, there is no tab... instead a new scroll interface...

Switch the radio to whatever you like now. I just wanted everyone on the same page for issues is all. If i was you i would try 1.70.18.02 radio....but of course depends on your area. As for IE use opera..its loads better.

Only have one issue thus far. When I set the device to lock when powering off or for a timeout, I see a duplicate image behind the world clock display. Check it out...

Okay. So, investigating further and on every single CHome-based 6.5 ROM I've tried thus far, this "ghosting" issue only appears when two circumstances occur. First, the lock must be enabled. Second, the lock must have a password.

When the "ghosting" does not occur...

- Start, lock, slide to unlock
- Start, lock, power off, power on, slide to unlock
- Start, lock, wait for standby, power on, slide to unlock

When the "ghosting" does occur...

Any of the aforementioned combinations as long as there's a password set for the lock.

You should like it. Just make SURE to flash stock before. Not sure how the shifu roms are now but some of the newer roms are rather troublesome to clean from memory...





Still looks funny to me when i type flash stock rom lol. I was always against it until NK.exe hack came about. Its a good thing but rewrites so many programs in memory that flashing just wont delete them. Thats my theory anyhow. Seen enough while cooking i guess to be able to set a theory. Found a bug....

When I got out of the car, I got the (very anyoing) message that the bluetoth link is disconnected and that I should put the phone to my ear.

The problem is I can't get rid of this notification. I tried everything, hide, dismiss but it keeps saying "notification" where normaly the button "contacts" is.

Is there a simple solution for this?

I tried a soft reset, did the same thing again and got the same problem.

I can confirm the landscape close bug....but not even close to a deal breaker for me. Just slide it closed to close the ap.

Correct about the .cab...it remapps all the keys though..mainly FN+ whatever. Grab the stripped rom from my 4shared. Flash it from SD card...when it says update success flash it again. Then let it setup. Hard reset. Then flash this rom from SD and see what happens.

Did a little poking but i guess the .cab deletes his stuff. I do know your sickness will use mort script as most all TPC plugins do. so check for a sicknes.mscr and probaly another one...maybe sickness_something here lol. But check for values and let me know. Might be able to help.


I have both of those files but cant open them on my phone...copy those and open with note pad and send me the results. I gotta get a PC...this really really sucks.

As for sickness issue...seems that its ony setup for a 1 gig card. Everything is setup for 1024 and not variable like the .cab i have...it is a bootleg of a bootleg lol. So once i talk to TPC if at all today we will work together...if not he will post a .cab on his own like always lol. But its a quick fix. Just gotta edit the mscr for .var instead of 1024.

If you're telling me that running a screen alignment will fix the 'Ok' button issue, I don't think that's the case. All the 'X" buttons work fine in landscape. Also, I have a slight problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=518451) with the screen alignment app. I have to input my config manually into the registry after every flash, and it's pretty accurate.

Yeah i remember that issue lol. The screen align fixed the X issue for me. If its not fixed on your phone its gotta be hardware. So it would still be off for you. Anyone else try my fix?

I am a true fan of Abu's ROMs and had no serious problems both usung his 6.1 and now the 6,5 hyprid serious, I was running X6 without any problem and even made the recommended Stock Ram flash and SPL before using X6.

And during all my last 15+ ROM flashes I used the same apps , no change at all.

But now X7 gives me serious problems:

- ROM somtimes re-boot 2-3 times after soft reset
- Rom does not allow installation of some normal apps on storage card
- after softrest ROM alwasy run connection setup again
- every 2-3 times SR an error comes during boot : "RUN XML \windows\Menu_operation,code:0x8007000D"


I even downloaded the ROM again and re-flashed 3 times . no change in behaviour.

never had this before and I guess I will go back to V6 as it worked like a charm .

Re crashing I had these problems when I first went to 6.5, I flashed a stock rom for my phone - Orange UK phone - stock rom changed everything - radio included.

I always remove the battery before each flash and then power on

Basically I followed the instructions here, flash stock, reboot and align screen, hard reset and get the thing through the 1st run so it's gone through the welcome setup.

Remove battery and flash 6.5 rom, go through welcome and again hard reset.

It's time consuming but since following this and always flashing from SD I've not had the dreaded crash / hard reset.

I do have the same problem with bluetooth, any way to fix it - is there a cab floating around ?

v6 and v7 ver. of adv config will not accept provxml from previous versions of x2 rom - will crash the app
Now for the weird one: If I set the internet explorer default storage locations for cookies, history and cache, it renders gprs useless.


This one has driven me crazy because for the last two versions (v6 and v7) I have set up adv config the same way i have since ultimate x v1, and have had to hard reset to get my data connection to work again.
Here's what will happen:

opera will no longer auto attatch
titanium weather will auto attatch, but hang up
internet explorer will crash immeadiately, as will quick GPS and quick position
no app requiring gprs will function correctly essentially


Since v6 i have been flashing stock rom first (v6 is where i started getting hard/soft reset issue) an I am running hardspl 3.34 and radio 1.71.09.01. Also, I have 8900 (cameraless tilt), but i see no way this should affect data.
Well, i also didn't see how ie cache location could either, but hey, this is why I'm no chef.
This problem started with v6, and followed to v7, and I have just been licing without adv config entirely for these two versions, until today, when i got fed up and spent two and a half hours editing each group of entires of adv cfg, and resetting until i founf the right one - I've flashed5 or 6 times today, and hard reset twice that. My wife hates me.

I Don't think its ATT specific because i flash a UK ROM but a mix of the STOCK and Flash from SD Card seems to do the trick

Is it just me or are there a few things missing like: Sounds & Notifications and Today Screen Theme Changer.

Also and this may be me just not reading everything but how do i change to Minilla over CHome. The screen shots are there but i dont see how to switch them. Anyone got any advice?

To switch to M2D go to Settings/Home, where you see the word <<Appearance>> you click to switch to <<Items>> to change to the home screen plug ins.

Try changing the Home theme to fireflower, I think that was what was used on V4

Unfortunately it doesn't change the selection colour in the start menu, i really struggle to see this if I want to use the wheel instead of touch screen but I think thats a wm6.5 problem

I then went to the start menu, held my stylus on the iGO icon to bring up the "move to top" dialog. After the dialog appeared I clicked on it but, it did not move it to the top and now it will not display the dialog anymore for that icon. Repeating this process with any icon has the same result. Can anyone else confirm this behavior. If not I will reflash and see if it persists.

Seems it required a reboot to adjust the icon positions. That, and I was apparently unclear on the exact function of the "move to top" dialog. I've got it now. ;)

I just click on igo icon and go to" send shortcut to programs" click on that and it will send a shortcut to programs and everything is fine if you click on to igo and there is no"send shortcut to programs" then you need to install HOUMING FILE EXPLORE EXTENSION its a good program you will find it in my 4shared

Have you tryed re/START (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=481379) as it's far better than the built in sytem anyway.

So, I did another soft reset, and my Start Menu is back. However, The two icons I tried to move to the top in the "Tools" folder are now at the top of the root of the Start Menu.

I just had a freaky experience. After I flashed I installed my iGO and Arthemus TaskBar QVGA V4_Bluetooth.cab task bar icons. Those were the only two apps I installed. I was navigating around my phone and was in settings/connections, where I tapped the BT icon. The phone appeared to freeze, I waited through a segment of Mythbusters with no response so I used the stylus to reset. When the phone rebooted it started to go through the initial setup, as if I performed a clear storage but, locked up. Now it will not fully load and I have to reflash. I'm not sure if it is iGO, the new icons, or user error. :rolleyes:

each time it progressed less through the process. The first time it made it to the setting up device for first run... section. The others never made it that far.

Even took out the battery in between boot attempts and let it sit for a minute.

I've flashed this phone so many times I think it's on it's way out :(

Nope, in the root. That's how I'm flashing now. name the .nbh file to KAISIMG.NBH, hold camera and power buttons and use stylus to reset.

If your computer has a built-in SD card reader, or if you have an SD card reader for your computer, put the microSD card in it, hook it up to your computer, select the "drive' from "My Computer," right click it, select format, and choose Fat32. I don't think you can do it from your phone. Sorry for the long sentence.

You need to put the SD into a reader/writer on the PC. The SD shows as a removable disk in Windows Explorer. Right click it and select format. If the SD is HC (greater than 2GB) you need a reader that is HC conpatible. If you have no reader, go to Best Buy (only one left I guess), they aren't too expensive.

If I run Manila it will work correctly. I would really like to spend some time with titanium but I need a quick lock function as I have the phone in and out of my pocket 100 times a day!

It's not a bug it's an issue with AE and CHome also the same happens with HTC Home\Default as it opens the Start Menu. Can't you quick lock on Red end key?

Bugs:
- close/ok does not work in landscape
- bottom status bar sometimes hides/is over the lowest item in file explorer
- scroll bar (on the right) in messages sometimes hides/is over words on the far right

RADIO:
- radio 1.70.09.01 is really nice and fast for the GPS and gives good battery but the reception absolutely SUCKS for AT&T: approx. -2 bars in comparison to my old WM6.1 radio, i.e. I get a 'dot' where I used to have 3 bars.

ALSO:
- it seems the zoom in IE is set to levels that are not meant for the Tilt. Any way to change those?


Switch the radio to whatever you like now. I just wanted everyone on the same page for issues is all. If i was you i would try 1.70.18.02 radio....but of course depends on your area. As for IE use opera..its loads better.

Yay - as others have mentioned. Running the screen alignment fixes the issue with the close/ok button not working in landscape.
I like the new IE.
Opera takes too long to load to use it to look something up real quick (which is main reason for websurfing on the mobile for me).

A long press of Red end key brings up the quick menu and lock works. having the side OK set to lock is quicker if i am in a hurry. One less key press. But if it is a known issue, maybe I will go back to tired and true manila. Thanks Stylez!

Try rebooting you computer then start all over again, I belive it should work, it worked for me

Yes, and make sure reformat your SD card to FAT32 and start with the hard SPL (you will need your PC for that) and then do the Radio, and then Stock ROM, Hard reset and then the cooked ROM of your choice,

Normally I would agree with you Stylez, but I will be on and off airplanes for the next several months and having quick access to the quick menu is helpful.

Hopefully, someone will find the fix for this one. Maybe if we had more time to devote to finding fixes rather than repeating the same things over and over....

as a somewhat NOOB i have searched using the exterior google as well as the internal one for this thread and cannot find it anywhere. the last version had the internet panel for chrome and this version i cannot find it nor can i apparently use the chrome program to add the internet. any help or ideas to add the internet panel?

also any ideas on how to use the cchrome program that is on the ROM? i would like to add panels but so far i cannot do ti anyhow or anywhere.

Sorry Bob_Beard, I wasn't clear enough. Yes, CHome Editor is there and I have used it to enable/disable panels in CHome. What I am trying to do is modify the individual pages in Quick Launcher. Reza has pre-loaded several apps there, some I want to keep others I want to remove and then put in my own. I have used another application to do this before but wanted to check to see if he had supplied a utility to to that. If not no issue, I have the .cabs.

After re-flashing to a stock ROM and another SPL on top of the re-flash I did for V6 all my reset and installation problems are gone. So lesson learned . Reflash to stock ROM for each version is needed ;-(

But still have some questions on V7 as I need maximum readability/contrast for my device when being outside , so I need a real black on white version , therefore:

- will pure black chrome cab work with with special chrome version or will I destroy the layout / functions ?
- or can I just exchange the background picture against a just black one and how ? Which size ?
- can I change to the B/W dialer from V5 without problems ?

So far ... everything seems to work the way I like .. now I need to tune for my graphic taste and I am still confused what changed in chrome when I change to another style ... as I understand there was some special work done for the chrome layout which I really like in V7.

What can I say........ Well to be honest I hated v6 because it wouldn't boot and when it did it was problem after problem, But I just flashed V7 this morning and I am COMPLETELY AMAZED!!!!! ;)

I have had NO bugs at all!!! I will load my stuff on and im sure it will work, its just the basic voice command and Video dialer.
If I had to rate this ROM out of 10 I would give it a 9.5 / 10 because I havn't had it that long, but I will return with the full 10 when I next post Im sure :D

I do Have one question, when you record a conversation with the dialer where does it save the file to, I cant seem to find it.

So far I am completely impressed with V7. Fast, smooth scrolling, everything works (so far anyway) but either I have forgotten how to operate my Tilt or something unexpected has changed. I went in to set up MS Push mail and that option is missing from the Manila settings page. I also don't find it anywhere in the CHome settings pages.

So, Where did it go?

This might have just been a one time, freak occurrence. But I flashed the ROM and switched over to Android for a while. When I went back to WM, it was like I had just flashed the ROM again, clearing storage, etc. But the weird thing is, it didn't clear the storage. It actually doubled up everything that was there. So now on my start menu, I have File Explorer and File Explorer(1). That sort of thing. Very bizarre and might have NOTHING to do with the ROM itself. Just strange.

Nope, the BT Cab didn't work. It did add the option to notifications but the message persists even after soft reset and trying the connect and disconnect again. The interesting part is that there is no "dismiss" option on that particular message, only the option to "hide".

I will have to live with it until next ROM release. :)

Anyone try changing the pagepool? It feels pretty peppy with 16mb I'm gonna try 24mb and let you know. So far this rom feel pretty good with 32mb. I think I will keep it that way. Anyone have any suggestions as to whether it's my imagination or not?

I did read the whole thread before flashing V6
(I was waiting for the release so I had time on my hands)

I had 2 phones to flash.
One had the most recent STOCK ATT rom on it.
The other I used the stripped ATT rom which was recommended here.

Well let me say I followed instructions to a "T" but the one which had the stripped version ended up with the documented problem.
Although it was strange, I did a soft reset and lost the carrier setup and the Exchange sync settings, yet kept an Imap account and SMS intact, then next soft reset those were gone.

Anyway I downloaded the full ATT rom from HTC's site, Loaded it then started fresh with V7. So far so good. Seams like there was some noticeable differences between the two. I haven't had too much time to check it out.

My issues are probably simple but I haven't found the solutions yet,

1) "You got new Email" notifications are still crazy, how can I turn this off? Because it's saying it every time push email come in, even if I haven't dismissed the previous notification?

2) Also Suggested words seams to be on but it's not working? (I'm a horrible speller.. )

I know there was something else but it's too early in the morning right now..

And yesterday something really weird happens: after a soft reset, in the honey comb menu, i realize the vanish of apps icon: i saw a few apps only, the other icons wasn´t in there. Even the rom folders like navigation, tools turn invisible. I did a soft reset...nothing. Hard reset (one) and the same problem, i did a second hard reset and all the apps was in there..normally.
After a few soft resets (trying if the problem appears again) the phone its fine. I ask: was that a memory problem?...ram maybe? what i got to do to avoid this?

Safer route:
1: Hard SPL
2: Radio
3: Hard Rest (Remove and replace battery if possible)
4: Stock Rom (Since you have a HTC Tytn2 Kaiser I would prefer to flash an HTC ROM)
5: Hard Rest
6: Cooked ROM of your choice
7: Hard Reset (Remove and Replace battery)
8: Check and reflash the radio if needed (many stock ROMs come with a Radio which may not be suitable for your Cooked ROM)

8: Check and reflash the radio if needed (many stock ROMs come with a Radio which may not be suitable for your Cooked ROM)

I 2nd these recommendations.
Get a full STOCK ROM, not a stripped down one.
Because I tried one of those and it didn't work for me.
Ended up having to do it all over with a Rom I downloaded direct from HTC to provide a fresh start.

This may have nothing to do with the rom but my tilt has stopped syncing to my computers after i flashed ver 6. worked for a day then quit. any ideas? The Phone knows its trying to sync but it wont connect on the computer.
