Flashing stock ROM before to avoid hard reset problem on newest OS build. Also change HardSPL to 3.34 DaveShaw and Radio 1.7x.xx.xx for better performance

It's not required but i would highly appreciated if everyones can help me to get new harddisk for my pc...

You don't have to HardpSPL again, just execute the exe. But usually abu recommends to install a default (shipped) ROM before installing his newly released ROM.

Looking promising after first reset :) But the scrolling feature needs some work. Can we lessen the size of icons? Moreover this is a 21501 build with almost all the features of your 210XX series, I am quite confident of the fact that if you are going to work on this it will surely pay you more than your older projects. Just Unzip Make Sure you Have Titanium Disabled Copy the Files and Paste in Your Windows Directiory Using Total Commander or Resco Explorer.Make sure you do a soft reset also

One oddity... the album works, but it views 180 off when in landscape mode??

Meaning when you open the album, the buttons would be on your right rather then your left like it is normally?

Yes it is a bit slow to switch! But at least the landscape works with CHome. There is a plug in for Fav contacts. Search using the link in my sign, its in the Dev & Hacking forum.

FYI, Opera 9.5 is not working.

BTW, camera works very well in this rom.

its spontaneous and random. One minute i will slide the keyboard open to type a SMS and then it turns off. Other times it will work just fine on sliding, etc.

1) Quick Gps work well.
2) 4 columns start menu achevied.

I installed the X2.Beta about 6 hours ago.
1. One freeze while displaying notes menu screen. Required soft reset.
2. In calendar>Options I selected the month view default. When I tap the Calendar tag on the home screen, the calendar opens in the month view but immediatly swithes to the day view.
3. I might even get to like this 6.5. But so far, not so much.

ok i been trying a few 6.5 roms in da last week(dont we all) i always find myself back with this series and when i saw he had a 6.5 rom i decided to give it a try and here is what i found so far...
1.It tends 2 lag n freeze doing ramdon stuff but just gotta wait a bit till it responds again(lil annoying)
2. email, aim, text all work
3. garmin works
4. windows 7 project works fine and looks great..., the weather does not autoupdate but no biggie just click on it..
5. no luck with msvc tried 3 versions and no incoming calls one does work but perevents the ringtone from working ver 1.6.21040
5. looking foward to updates 2 this room... Big fan

Thx abu, this rom is verry cool, it works great, i just had to change my radio to 1.71.09.01 to make it work faster...

I have some requests for the future updates if you can :
1/ Is it possible to add the htc 'big top bar' when you tap on the top of the screen, it was really useful when u don't have nails...
2/ add a fingerfriendly keyboard, for when we dont wanna slide...
3/ make opera 9.5 w/ flash work, because it's the best browser i've tested so far
4/ add Youtube ?
5/ Make Microsoft office work... I don't know if i'm the only one, but the shortcuts don't work... i get an error.
6/ add the big volume function
7/ Add portrait view on HTC Album
8/ There's a conflict when your phone is locked et you receive a call, the htc slide to answer comes in front of the windows 6.5 slide to answer...

This is a very lite ROM, and BETA. There are no HTC home plug ins cooked in, thus no favorite people tab with pictures.

You can get that 2 ways, download and install Manila 2D, or flash this ROM:

I set my alarm this morning and the weirdest thing happened, it went off as it should but it did not ring the sound it was supposed to (Alarm 5) instead it played the default sound(the one under found wireless network detected).I changed different alarm sound and nothing seems to work...Other than this problem if someone can help me out, this is the best 6.5 rom out there...Thank you for your hard work...it is greatly appreciated:)

1) Windows media player doesn't work certificate error.
2) Phone freezes many a times.
3) After finishing with messages phone freezes for almost a 2mintues before coming back to TODAY's screen.
4) Speed dial facility is not there.
5) Opera browser doesn't work. it just reach to start page and freezes their itself.

Why doesn't opera work on 6.5.

Even with titanium disabled, it still doesn't work.

I basically only use one website and it doesnt display it properly with other browsers, especially IE.

Is there any version of opera (other than mini) that does work?

hi friends,

1) I use to have freezing problems with my phone many a times And also after finishing with the message. One our friend has recommended to change the Radio Rom. But that didn't worked for me atleast. So i did little search and i came across two cab files [ATContacts v0.91.CAB (gives speed dial option also in today) & Ibrythill WM 7 Titanium Project.cab] after installing this files freezing problems vanished, phone don't freeze at any operation.

2) I found that Opera browser don't work. None of the Beta versions work in the Rom. So i checked with Opera 8.65 full released version. It worked very smoothly and faster as compare to Internet Browser.

When my phone is locked I can only answer calls by sliding the bar on the screen, if I press the Green phone button it doesn't answer. If the phone is unlocked then i can answer by pressing the green phone button. Did anyone come across this issue.

That's the one thing I miss about Garmin's roms, the folder icons looked really nice.

I had the same problem and wanted them smaller and by 4 like I had seen on Anryls ROM's.

Found a couple of files in the Windows folder that control this, StartMenu_GridScene_240x320.cpr and StartMenu_GridScene_320x240.cpr

The first (240x320) is for portrait and the latter (320x240) is for when you slide the keyboard out into landscape.

Just copy the 2 attached files into the Windows folder using Total Commander (anything else will give you access denied). Soft-reset and then you will have small 4 column start menu in portrait and a small 5 column menu in landscape. :)

Hope that helps, I don't know how to make .cab's so I can only give you a .zip.

Apologize if someone has already asked this before, but tried to search for solutions. I am having problems with contact list overlapping when I hit send and scroll down to view contacts. The contacts overlap each other and are all highlighted in blue. Otherwise, rom is working great.

I like it and it works on this ROM too...

BUT I would LOVE it if the percentage # was with in the battery rather than on top of it.

Is this possible? I think I saw it someplace but can't seem to fing it now and all the searches seem to lead to this one or one similar where the # is on top not with in.

Just Unzip Make Sure you Have Titanium Disabled Copy the Files and Paste in Your Windows Directiory Using Total Commander or Resco Explorer.Make sure you do a soft reset also

Great rom like the way it looks and runs but dont like the fact you included TouchFlo 2d in the rom takes up more storage space. IMO i think you should keep your TouchFlo with your 6.1 Roms and keep your 6.5 roms just 6.5 roms

I tried a HR but it is still the same. No big though Ill test it out and find the issue. I didnt meant to come off wrong about the 2 ver. I undertand the connection issue. Once again I am sorry if I offended you in any way. Looking forward to your next release.

I personally prefer TF2D on 6.5 than I do on 6.1. I find it runs smoother. I like to alternate between CHome and TF2D depending on my mood, so it's good to have both!

people are never happy no matter what cook does. man nothing wrong wid the rom. not everyone is bothered bout mem usage as long as no lag wen using rom. would ya rather have a lite rom that runs like a dog or a complete rom that runs so well! dont think he should remove anything at all just release a lite version once his connection issues are sorted. this rom offers the best of both worlds titanium and manila - similar to itje release! it rocks:)

Hi, one thing i noticed, when i receive a call i cannot silence the call by moving the side scroll wheel down. This is a very convinient feature to have. It helps while travelling or when in sunlight.

i feel this was reported on X series, but now i am hooked to X2......

i am able to send mms messages with pics or whatever media i want but i cannot receive anything. sms works both ways. so does email atachments. any ideas ?

been using now for 12 hrs steady even in my sleep!:D
cant put the thing down man. find new things as i keep using. like the 9 button action screen and flash support in both IE and opera.

one thing though the zoom level in IE6 is too high so browsing is off screen. needs reducing to more appropriate zoom. simply fixed by deleting 'useHR' in registry but i am sure there must be a better way of doing it. windows live kept bugging out so replaced wid another build from SJ which works well! added core player and iplayer both work well.

maybe asking too much but facebook support in people tab in manila would be great. very useful keeping in tough wid friends on there.

You can edit the shortcut quite easily using Total commander, just click and hold on the shortcut in \windows\startmenu\office and select properties, then deselect read only option and system. Then point to the file in the Target box.

I think its pexe.exe or something like that.

Yeah Ive got the same problem, I think it happens when Windows Live is cooked into the ROM and not installed as a separate CAB. I think when its cooked into the ROM Windows live trys to store the data on the ROM and not the RAM. I dont know to much about cooking but i think thats the reason why.

after my initial big upz for this rom problems have now arisen after 2 days of steady use:
1. phone deactivated and vol default to off. had to reboot
2. phone freezing and reset for no apparent reason
3. vibration get stuck on constant for incoming call and wont stop till i remove batt. frigging nuisance.
4. cant anser calls as slide to answer gets stuck
5. phone locks for no apparent reason even while i am using it it.

slide to unlock causes nuff probz mate so remove it! i am gonna flash PDA 4x ultimate but i see 5x coming soon so will flash stock rom while i wait. :mad:

This ROM does have Manilla 2D cooked into it, however you can try the other ROM's and install in the 2D Cab. I flick between this ROM and Josh's ones, I cant decide which one I prefer as both do great Jobs, I'm trying this one as it does come with Manilla and all the CABs cooked in.

Well abz does have a life outside of the forum and a family to look after so can't expect his responsabilitys just to be making ROMs for users & updating pronto along with that abz has connection issues...
You have touched a nerve as all the time these chefs work to produce ROMs for users if far more than users take to flash there device.......

Come on Guys REZA did state that until 6.5 is Released Officially then his 6.1 Roms will take presidents and this ROM is just a beta so he may not fix the Bugs until he brings out his next update like STYLEZ says REZA has a life

I'm liking this ROM a lot so far. This is my first 6.5 ROM, and I'm loving how fast it is. I'll probably love this ROM once I figure out how to fix my screen alignment problem (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=518451), but that's not the ROM's fault. Other than the office links there are realy no issues reza. This is a very good and stable 6.5. I find its alot smoother than the others. All the others seem to lag or hang on me but yours hasnt once.

I know I already gave you props for this one, but now that I've spent about sixteen hours fixing my screen alignment, I'm blazing through this thing! I haven't found any bugs, aside from the aforementioned shortcuts for office mobile. Takes a lot of getting used to, as this is my first 6.5 ROM, but it's pretty sick! GPS locked on faster, I think, than ever before. Love how fast the screen rotates, as well as the speed that thumbnails are loaded in the photo album. I'm not a flash addict, myself, so I'll continue to test this one out for a while. Keep up the good work!

For one thing to the guy saying he needs to focus on the 6.5 you are funny, pretty sure he needs to focus on what ever he feels like doing :)

The one bug I noticed is with the dialer. When entering the dialer then scrolling down with the scroll wheel to scroll through contacts, once you get past the first screen they all seem to mesh together making them unreadable unless they are the highlighted contact. I havent tried installing a different dialer or even reflash so it may just be that I got a bad flash.

i'm having freezing issues tho. after i send a text message and switch between landscape and portrait the phone becomes unresponsive and requires a soft reset. could this be fixed by a new radio or is this the rom?

edit: another thing i've seen mentioned, but see no solution is not being able to silence a phone call by using the scroll wheel. any thoughts?

i havent experienced any of the freezing issues. I did have to soft reset once because I wasnt getting any sound from calls but it hasnt happened again.

to fix got to settings -> personal -> buttons, then scroll down to button 6 and change to hbutton 1.
then exit hit start -> hbsetup -> hbutton1, on the assigned to select button6 then next to add where it says <none> scroll down and select <toggle sound mute>, then hit the add button hit ok and ok and then all you have to do is hold down the ptt button. hope this helps

Ok just downloaded. This thing is running very slow on my Tilt. There's a three second lag after I push a button. Checked the Task Manager to see if anything is running, but nothing I can see. I haven't installed any apps yet. This is unusable for me. Will check for a more stable version. Thanks.

Just to confirm that windows messenger is not working with this rom.

yeah, i'm sure i read that Office isn't installed in this ROM.

I love rom 6.1 manila thank's to PDA Corner, so, thank you. I've tryed 6.5 with Anryl... etc... but, so sad to see that thoses roms have many problems in france.
This one seems to have less bugs, but, something go on not working : internet. I have SFR in France, and always it says : " error 403, forbidden..."
I still have no access to the internet, thus I have illimytics, everything is include in my "abonnement" ( sorry don't remember the english word), so I don't understant why it doesn't work....

Please, could anyone help me?

ouf ! tu me rassures ! y a pas moyen qu'une seul rom 6.5 fonctionne !!!!! j'ai tout essayé, toutes les rom 6.5, et internet foire, avec un illimytic, c'est moche.
pourtant elles sont plus fluides, la météo est fun, et le S2U2 est intégré à windows! c'est excellent, en plus d'aspect, c'est plus coloré et lumineux que manila...

Reza, ROM works great. For some reason when I hit the soft key for the action screen, it goes straight to camera. I haven't played around enough to see if I can find a solution yet, will post if I do. Didn't see it mentioned in the thread so I thought I would bring it up. Thanks again for the great ROM, and keep on cooking!

I did two hard resets. I haven't reflashed it yet. After, the hard resets it ran better but it still freezes. I will redownload and re flash. This is my first 6.5 ROM so I can only compare it to 6.1 roms. The rom could running great as far as 6.5 roms go I don't know. I use my phone for work also, so I need it more responsive.

I'm also experiencing the contacts list issue. Haven't installed a new dialer yet, but I would like to point out that if your are using the included TouchFlo instead of Titanium (I think I got that right, I haven't used either before this flash), from the "People" tab, you can left softkey for "All People." The list in that option works fine.

Similarly, as far as Office Mobile goes, the shortcuts in the start menu don't work, but if you tab to "Programs" in TouchFlo, and left softkey for "All Programs," there are perfectly good links for Office Mobile there.

One other possible bug: I rely pretty heavily on "Internet Sharing." as I don't have a home internet connection and public WiFi networks can get kinda bogged down, but it seems that the "Internet Sharing" app likes to close itself sometimes, when it's not on screen.

I also can't turn the backlight off with the power button when the screen is locked.

I'd love to see a built-in "Footprints" tab for both TouchFlo and Diamond.

All the programs are in the right folders. What your talking about is just the new menu style of 6.5. Takes awhile to get used to it. For others that are still having issues i would suggest flashing either 3.31 or 3.34 hardspl. Seems for the most part 6.5 really likes those spls. But when i first flashed this one i had gone back to 3.29 and had alot of issues. Since going back to 3.34 all issues are gone. Its fast and stable like all rezas roms are :D

I would say you installed m2dc. If so its a regular issue. Just change it back to action from within m2dc.

Nice rom but some small bugs:

- When flight mode activated, if try to enable phone function by the phone cursor of the comm manager a big (WVGA) popup appears: impossible to close it!

- This version of WM6.5 has no menu finger facilities, is it possible to add it? Solved (due to the diamond theme, the standard is touch friendly)

- MSN messenger does not work, it cannot connect on network (Opera is ok)

- NSN Money cannot work offine...

- Sometimes, the taskbar is M2D colored, sometimes is WM6.5 colored

- Sometime the landscape does not work (Manilla keeps portrait mode)

- Pin code during starting is very long to respond.

Ok. with the Crash problem when closing a Text Message - I'm sure other people have found this work around, but just in case people are new to the problem - if you send a text, then press the start key to go to the menu, then choose the today screen.

This gets you back without it crashing, then just close messages from the today screen and it wont crash.

The bug doesn't effect my email folder, so i assume it will just be related to SMS

I would say you installed m2dc. If so its a regular issue. Just change it back to action from within m2dc.

When you open m2dc the softkey tab. Change it back to htcactionscreen. It will set it like it was.

and something else, i forgot to mention earlier with regards to the messages crash issue.

I'd just received 2 texts whilst i replied to a previous text, when closing the open message to then open one of the new messages the phone crashed.
After a soft reset these two new, unopened messages had disappeared, and obviously had been received so are gone for good :(
