Hi all! Quick question. I have a verizon XV6800 and I just finally redid everything to get my GPS working once again. Problem is, I want try out another rom, and I was curious as to if I needed to set up the phone again via QPST afterwards, or can I just add the Telus GPS cab to get the GPS working again?
Thanks!

A flash with a custom ROM should not mess up your QPST settings. At least that is my experience with Telus. However, a lot of official ROMs will mess them up. Especially if you flash with a different carrier's ROM.

Chances are that you would not have to re-do the QPST if you are sticking with custom ROMs. I have gone back and forth between a few and not had any problem.
I went back to stock Alltel to look at a few things, and had to re-do QPST afterward.
I'd venture to guess that stock ROMs can reset QPST, whereas custom ROMs won't. You can always double check by simply running QPST and looking for yourself after flashing.
Hope this helps!

Great, thanks for the info! That's what I figured, considering that the QPST program seems to edit much more than just software based OS stuff.
Thanks!

From my experience, the only settings that get changed have to do with EVDO.
This is the thread explaining how to fix it if you run into trouble:

bare in mind that I have USCC, so the values you would need to enter will be different.
