possible tweek on old mem reg hack

I do recall a thread popping in and out that was mostly dis credited because some / most people could not get anything out of it.while others had good sucess. it pointed the regestry to a folder that was created on th sd card in the phones.

my thought now is that we have access to the extended romarea... follow me? on my device running tplanes 6.5 offical my ext rom shows 9 meg free. not much but could turn my 27 free on boot to possibly 36 or so. i know thru playing with my pagefile that the larger that is the faster wm runs. ive personaly pushed mine to 12, super fast but only bout 18 free on boot.

just a few thoughts and rambelings of a crazy thinker. has anyone tried this? just a thought

you must be talking about the memory card hack again...I think its been started here many many many times..its a give and miss for most of us and usually it ends with people yelling at each other about it..lol, if it works for you- awesome..otherwise, it isn't a 100% thing

but my real question is has anyone tried that but instead of pointing to the memory card pointing to the extended rom area? is that a dangerous thing to do? i would assume that the exrom is faster than memory cards. and may be helpful for some who are experiencing lowmem or slow sys issues

not off the top of my head but if u search for mem reg hacks in this forum you should find something.

so... no one has tried this and no one knows if its safe? i'll give it a shot when I get a chance. unless someones got a reason i shouldnt
