flashing method

1 - For WM5 Users, You must upgrade before use Custom ROM with Official Asus ROM.(wm6 site of asus)

2 - ROM Radio Upgrade to Upgrade correctly with correct Boot loader
Copy all files included in Zip files on SD card, launch *.exe... please be patient... it must be longer...

3 - now you can flashing with them methods

Upgrade ROM by USBLoader Method

Make sure that your PC have install Microsoft Active Sync already.
Download ROM file (Stouph & Roms0406 Collection's ROMS)
Extract from 1. You have got GalaxyII.NB0, AsusUpdateROM.cmd and USBLoader
Copy file ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe into miniSD Card then run this file one time (Cross language platform for ROM Upgrade)
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del (On PC) to start Task Manager, Then delete MS Sync Process (Wcescomm.exe) or double click on file Kill Active Sync.cmd to kill MS Sync Process.
Connect your P535 to PC via USB port. Press Rec+Power button (at the same time) and then Soft Reset (Press Rec+Power button util Boot Loader program startup you will see message Waiting).
Double Click on file AsusUpdateROM.cmd to start Upgrade ROM. Then follow up step in DOS Command Windows (press Enter 3-4 times).
Please wait util red message display on P535 screen then Soft Reset one time.
After finish Upgrade ROM process please Hard Reset again (Press Navigate button + Reset) for make sure all process was completed.


ROM Upgrade by Mini SD card

Download the file containing the desired ROM (GalaxyII.nb0)
Just for the WM6.1 ROM Wm6.5 Copy the Asus unlock ID application on your MiniSD card and launch it (This manipulation is only once times)
Extract the ROM [* 1]. You get a GalaxyII.nb0 file and copy into your MiniSD card
Connect the USB cable to your PDA and Computer
simultaneously press the buttons Rec + Camera + Power (keep the support of the buttons until you see the boot loader) and push Reset (The PDA must restart BootLoader mode)
wait by watching instructions on the screen
After completing the Upgrade ,your device automatically restarts

Hi,

I tried 624 version of last rom. Its loaded, restarted but some times homescreen comes and freezes, some times when booting it freezes. Now im downloading 520 version and reload rom.

Also you should to add to first post, how to load a rom for beginners. I cant find it requires new bootloader version or not need, etc.

Your forum is french, we cant to use it :)

Mode Switch key also works for torch when pressed long.

There are a task manager app installed i see. I binded voice commander key to open task manager.

Before ROM upgrading this GPS software worked without these problems. I'll try to upgrade for your newest ROM but if I'll have more these "frozen" situations did it will be possible to downgrade ROM to 6.1 version?

yep, with new ROM version situation is the same - 200km with GPS and 2 times "frozen". Anyway, if somebody have 128mb of ram this is great piece of work. Looks great. But in my opinion new one is even better :D

In my opinion you can, but it's possible that you will have "freezing" problem (RAM only 64mb), before upgrading you have to unlock your language (using ASUS.UnlockLangID) and stouph52's ROM is in english language (then you can of course choose your national settings but language still be english).

Since i install this last rom i have been experiencing strange things.
1. My P535 sounds when i receive a call but
2. I can not hear persons on the other side.
3. Other persons can not here me
4. If i use headphones works fine isng exernal mic.
4. Any sound of the pda can not be heard (only headphones)

Can you help me on this?

I have tried other roms and the same problem, but just to clarify this problem starts when i install this ROM.

New rom is great. Its have 22MB's of free RAM (64mb device) :D Now i can use igo8 without problems :D

May your problem not about rom. My p535 works fine with last rom.

Its maybe there a problem with your headphone socket. I heard some asus devices have this socket problem. In that socket there is a switch button to set device to headphone mode or normal mode. When you plug in your headphone device switches to headphone mode but when you remove your headphone, it may still remain @headphone mode. Check it with a needle or like another thing.

Or look for asus headphone switch problems @ forums.

Flashed my P535 yesterday.
Everything ok.

Except:

Incoming Call screen corrupt (as mentioned)
Active alarm icon (next to g, signal and profile icon) not available
Tray Icons, which were handy (turn wi-fi, bluetooth on-off easily) are gone

and more important :

Wi-Fi does scan and connect successfully, but for an unknown reason internet explorer, skyfire , or opera cannot access the internet.

It seems as if it tries to connect via Gprs, even though I am connected with Wi-Fi. (It displays a message: " Cannot Connect / The connection has been ended. To change the connection setting, tap Settings")

so I have flashed my asus p535 64mb ram with wm 6.1 build 20764.1.4.3 624 mhz version and now startup looks a bit lowered and somehow ugly :) As you see few pixels line above. I dont know is there way to "push up" this startup?

And with same rom sometimes after reboot/shutdown asus p535 hangs and status indicator is blinking blue / green. Never have such thing before however after few reboot pushes it boots but i guess this shouldnt be happening.

And one more question in general... in this rom about screen shows "Memory: 43.60 MB" but in other roms http://titanmanus.cjb.hu/p535/3.jpg it shows "50.69 MB" i guess both have 64MB. Is this ram indicator meaningful? Or that means that OS takes by default less RAM and yours more?

Flashed my P535 yesterday.
Everything ok.

Except:

Incoming Call screen corrupt (as mentioned)
Active alarm icon (next to g, signal and profile icon) not available
Tray Icons, which were handy (turn wi-fi, bluetooth on-off easily) are gone

and more important :

Wi-Fi does scan and connect successfully, but for an unknown reason internet explorer, skyfire , or opera cannot access the internet.

It seems as if it tries to connect via Gprs, even though I am connected with Wi-Fi. (It displays a message: " Cannot Connect / The connection has been ended. To change the connection setting, tap Settings")
Can you help me please?

Ok , Wi-Fi problem solved :

The problem existed because my network adapters weren't linked to an option. Furthermore, when I chose my Wi-Fi network card, the dropdown was blank. The only option was to have (another) hard reset. So I backed everything up with Sprite Backup and after that it was all ok...

So it wasn't a problem of this ROM

so I have flashed my asus p535 64mb ram with wm 6.1 build 20764.1.4.3 624 mhz version and now startup looks a bit lowered and somehow ugly :) As you see few pixels line above. I dont know is there way to "push up" this startup?

And with same rom sometimes after reboot/shutdown asus p535 hangs and status indicator is blinking blue / green. Never have such thing before however after few reboot pushes it boots but i guess this shouldnt be happening.

And one more question in general... in this rom about screen shows "Memory: 43.60 MB" but in other roms http://titanmanus.cjb.hu/p535/3.jpg it shows "50.69 MB" i guess both have 64MB. Is this ram indicator meaningful? Or that means that OS takes by default less RAM and yours more?

There is nothing to see, that's the problem.
Remember when you set the alarm on? On the home screen there is an icon of a clock that lets you know that the alarm is on. Well, with that ROM there isn't any clock

Luckily for me I had previously updated my ROM to Windows Mobile 6.1 from this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=378907)thread. So I had AsusUpdateROM.cmd and ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe and detailed instructions about how to do this thing. Hope I helped.

the new version take more ram ,i can't increase memory ram because wm 6.5 with titanium use more memory than 6.1 :D:(

I tried 624mhz of your old builds may 212xx i dont remember, its freezes my P535. After that, i use 520mhz roms. I dont tried your lastest roms which 624mhz.

Now i use

WM6.5 build 21806 v1 by Stouph - 64Mo - Lite edition @ 520 Mhz - PP4

My device needs a hard reset but i waiting your 23xxx build. There some stability problems are increasing.

I have another advice: ;)

In your roms these jpg's are may 24-bit colored. You can Decrease color depths to 16-bits. So these images are getting into 65k colours which P535 screen is too 65K colours.

After you decreased this images to 16bits, its looks better from p535's screen. When your theme jpgs are 24bits its looks dirty from P535's screen. You can decrease this jpg's color depth with irfanview.

On the chance of the new version I must ask one more time unfortunately and I am really sorry for bothering you : Is any of the last two roms (21820 or 23007 any lighter than 21806 that I have on my phone?
I am really worried about my gps program (mls destinator 7) that keeps freezing due to low memory. I'm sorry that this is the 3rd time I ask, but if you could help me, I'd be forever grateful! Which version is lighter/ uses the least RAM?

I have freezes about using my navi software too when i use IGO 8. But there are no problems about IGO 2006. You have 3 options.

1- Try Another Navi software
2- Try WM6.1 or lower.
3- Upgrade your P535's RAM to 128MB.

There are too much infos about how to upgrade your P535's RAM chips @ internet.

And i really like your roms, and the programs that come with it, but i don't like the custom icons in the start menu, the custom status icons, and the custom startup screen, is there any way to get these back to normal/standard with a simple command, or to get a clean 23007 or 23009 rom for the P535?

I just installed P535 WM6.5 23022 beta Lite By Stouph and i have 2 problems. First my clock is 2 hours in front! For example now time is 21:11 but on main screen is displayed 23:11.. When i go on time page time in my city is correct and on top of page is wrong time again (2 hours forward).
Second: I use Iconsoft Phonex as a dialer, but even if i setup phone button to initiate Phonex, when i press phone button im getting ugly windows default dialer. Is there a way to fix time and get rid of default dialer?

"SD card" is the directory for storage card.. How can I change this as MiniSD Card or else?? Because I used alot of ROM and storage card directory is different from your ROM. So I cannot use my application directly on your ROM..

Buddy why didn't you fix the buttons? Your OK and X are not visible inside the buttons.

Resize classicblue_bubble_foo, classicblue_bubble_foo_disabled, classicblue_bubble_ok, classicblue_bubble_ok_disabled png files from 32x32 dpi to 16x16 dpi. And also resize classicblue_pivot_background to 240x32 dpi

Do that for each .tsk name, you use in your rom.

And you will be more happy than now :)

Look there - second picture on the first line - round button should be X, third and fourth picture - round button should be OK. And on your screenshots only 1/4 part of the symbol is visible.....
Also the line with Version and Notifications should be colored.....

Pretty nice ROM there.
Unfortunately, WM6.5 is not yet "mature" enough, to face the competition with HTC or Apple, although, Microsoft's ideas of this new interface are pretty good in my opinion. Anyway...

In fact, I'd just like to report a small bug, actually. There is the right "menubutton" missing in Outlook (+Calendar). It works, but is just not displayed (Theme ClassicBlue + others I guess).
If I knew the filename, there would be no problem in adding the appropriate image....

hello i have a problem with this rom, my camera flashlight is not working, and my mic sound is low... really low people cant hear me, i tried the voice recording feature and it really is low... is there any tweak for the microphone to have higher sensitivity(volume) ?

Flash is working fine and so is the mic atleast on my device and i've been using the rom for awhile... Do you use the automatic gain ?

Also under WiFi browsers working fine i got Opera9.7 beta, Skyfire, and ofc Internet Explorer, i tried Fennec but it's Alpha state and the memory usage doesn't make it quite usable on P535 (especially since i only got 64 ram)

Atm the only thing i expect is the new 23060 rom working like this one :)

And i already got used to the icons heh.

Exactly the same way, go to Asus Support page, download the rom get it on your SDCard and follow the same procedure...

Btw Marketplace isn't working on the rom... Atleast on this one, i tried the new cab and all then the update and everytime it starts to connect gives some kind of error... (not connection but software one)

This is the first unofficial rom i ever tried on my asus p535. I was worried if that might work yet it was so tempting to give wm6.5 a try. So i gave it a chance and wowwwwwwww it works like a charm with all the functions. Even better then the original rom even tho my device has only 64mb ram. I love my device now with your rom and it feels like i just bought a brand new wm6.5 device. Thanks for your efforts bulding this rom and i will be a regular of your roms from this moment on ;)

So guys...... New rom tools (http://asusmobile.ru/board/viewtopic.php?t=19866) are available at asusmobile. The tools were created by my friend Barin.
Using them it takes roughly 5 minutes to make any rom in any configuration (including xip porting) from the new build (for 525,535,750 and some HTC), or dump source rom, or whatever - all in one. And absolutely NO fuckin' reloc or wmreloc!!!! New addressing things and possibility to move modules with L flag to slot1.....
As soon as wwe ver will be ready (I suppose I will be in charge of translating the full manual) - I will notify.... Now it's available only in Russian. But works pretty nice - I got 28 Mb free in slot0 in my latest rom.
P.S. Now it's not interesting any more to cook roms - only customizing is still a bit interesting.... pity :( New tools make it so easy.....

It works fulently with no problem at all :) anyone hesitating to boot this rom , go ahead and give it a try ... u will never need to boot your device with another rom ever again !

1)would it be possible to disable the magnifier window that pop ups automatically with a mouse icon nearby each time i try to type or choose letters? (it may get really annoying when you are trying to type on the little screen and that magnifier window blocks the view ! >.< )

you can flash with minisd card (with normal it can't work with hc card)
copy the nbo file galaxyII on your minisd card
connect your device with usb connection on your computer

you push rec button + power button + camera button simultasly and maintain its
push reset with the stylus wait....
when the flash page appears ,you release the three buttons

enjoys the flash begin ;)

EDIT2: The Windows Mobile messages that popup have some kind of graphic bug, seems dark grey on the edges and white inside... And to me personally the haptics are way too long... The keyboard also comes by default with azerty selected since it's a WWE rom a slight fix wouldn't be that bad :P Other than that seems pretty great, and in line with the other ones :)

i can but the ppc are not fast with this pp is faster than old

for keyboard you can change it in stat menu\utilities fingerkeyboard
for graphic it's not you can correct it with sktools

i just added showcase with i fixed the problem of resco size plugin and with it your close really the programs with "X"

for picture icon and base theme it's attached in first post and copy it with resco in windows folder

Thank you very much for this. It's working really great in mine.
In the original firmware WM 6.1 if i use a sd card higher than 2 GB, sometimes i need to remove the card because i lose access.
With this one, everything is more stable and i never lose access to the 8 GB card.

I changed registry ,you can go back original color you just change the theme with an other and go back theme:D
