I was browsing this forum for the definition of "Radio" when referring to cell phones. Didn't find it, so I thought I'd post a topic.

4. What is a Radio?

The Radio is the Firmware that works between the Operating System and the Cellular Hardware. It handles the Sound, Camera, GPS, Phone Calls, etc. The Radio must be compatable with the ROM's Operating System or you may experience problems with your sound and camera.

Also under settings / software u can check your baseband version that'll tell u what radio u have
