hi all maybe some of you experts can help me, i have just bought a htc touch diamond and i have been trying to do a hard spl so i can flash Shaks.Pv4.10_Full_DiamondKB_10MbPP but my problem is: i run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe , tick the boxes then press update it finds the hardspl file, the screen goes black but will not update, the error message comes up after a short while saying the phone is not connected. i have read all the info on the thread about flashing hardspl and roms
I have flashed roms a few times before on my htc 710 with no problems so i can not understand why this is happing on my diamond......any help please thanks

Put your device into bootloader first before flashing..
Step 1:
Bootloader: Vol. Down + soft reset
Step 2:
Connect device and make sure Serial turns to USB at the bottom
Step 3:
Begin RUU_
Step 4:
When complete soft reset again via red button using stylus

i have tried that and once again tried it with no success, i get the message verifying the infomation on your pda then the next error message is the one that say can not connect to your phone because it is not connected.
On the bootloader screen this is the info
top red bar:
DIAM100 64M
SPL-1.37.0000
MicroP-Diam (LED) v11
then on the green bar:
PSOC-Diam STAGE-PVT v0x32
Does that help you to help me in anyway......thanks

I had the same problem yesterday. I did a hard reset. Activate the option under your active sync stuff in your mobile. Be sure that your active sync is connected with your phone. now it should work.
