I also tried the battery fix. The battery indicator seems to work better, however calls hangs after 9 seconds and I cannot hear the calling party, also they cannot hear me.
same here, phone hangs after 9 seconds. reset needed.

No. You can have a look at the repository page here (http://gitorious.org/linux-on-qualcomm-s-msm/linux-msm) or just hover over the download link on the glemsom autobuild page to see what changes got commited which resulted in the kernel to be built.

Currently, you cant unlock it.

I've been using a widget, "no lock" which I found, free, Marketplace. The End key turns off the screen and puts the phone in Standby. Another press brings it back. Similar to WinMo's power button. I don't need to lock the phone to avoid program activation when I put phone in my pocket. I'm not sure whether it turns off the WiFi.

Sometimes on Android boot, the slide lock is there at startup and sometimes not.

I'm trying the new 3/08 Zimage and module.

PS: Handsent SMS is incredible and the voice to text surprised me when it actually worked!:)

Hi all,
I am trying android on topaz100 for a few moths, but now is working everything what i needed, almost :) .

I used setup as MrRomezzz wrote on page 447 and battery fix with wifi and my results are:
Sound - working
Deep sleep bug - i dont have, i can recieve call.
make call - no stuck after 9 seconds
wi-fi - i have to switch on wi-fi in WM, than working

Whan i was charging phone from computer it was charging few minutes then i woke up phone and was written charged on the lock screen and full battery indicator, but couldnt be i had around 20 % of battery in WM. Anyway seems as still charging, i think.

I noticed an interesting thing: if, after loading of the device I dial any number (absolutely anyone, no matter where we answer or the robot will say "wrong number"), then the GSM module works fine, and calls after after the procedure recieves at 100%., but if you do not make such a bell in the beginning, there may be bugs and missed calls. Try, all in one way or only on my machine.

Hi,

I have two questions:

1.When you switch from WINMO full charged battery, how long takes it to you empty the standart battery 1130mA with normal usage of Android with the battery fix?

2.Do the charging runs event if shows some wrong % numbers in Android ?
And after 2 hour charging in Android how much % have the battery when you switch back to WINMO ?

There is no battery METER fix in those zImages because its not yet officially commited because it needs more testing for fine tuning the driver.

Please, watch your language. The drain now is like before just the battery meter fix is pointing to more accurate % of the battery. Power management is still not tuned up, we need all working hardware components then we will think about power management.

Hi all,

I have sound problem, too. I have sound, I can select mp3's in music player and the sound is OK, but I can' select ringtone, the only possibility in the list is "silent" . I have in STARTUP.txt rel_path=andboot and in the card I have andboot->media-> audio -> ringtones folder. Also I noticed that in the wallpaper settings I don't see any bitmaps from andboot -> media -> resource folder. So the problem is in the folder structure but I don't know what is the correct structure, and if these foldernames are case sensitive or not (in linux media not equal Media). So anybody can explain the correct structure for ringtones, alarms, notifications and wallpaper?

Thanks.

So, my Topaz just switched off, result is little bit more than 6 hours.
I made 4 posts to this forum, approx 30 minutes with screen on.
3 minutes long call
4 SMS mesages.
No wi-fi.
But i think phones connected in UMTS network has bigger battery drain in general.

In the next test i will switch off internet access over network and I will be in normal GSM signal coverage.

Attached log made in around 5 % battery (just rename to *.txt, too big :) )

Dont worry guys will be better :D

OK, so I did a little bit of testing myself, here it is:
I downloaded, copied and modified just like Romezzz said.
I left the old data.img that I had done before.
I then called from Android to my home phone and answered the call with the home phone.
Everything went perfectly fine up to this point.

Now, first thing I did was NOT putting the phone into sleep mode, just leaving it on in the home screen and waited for the LED to become green.
Then I called using my home phone to my Topaz. Everything went perfectly fine (just like before).
I accepted the call and all was fine.

Soon after I ended the call, I put the phone into sleep mode again, but this time, I didn't wait for the LED to become green and called to my Topaz right away from my home phone. Now, for some reason, it didn't receive the call, just like the deep sleep bug.
I dropped the call using my home phone and woke up my Topaz (the LED was still orange/red whatever) and tried to call with it - for some reason, it didn't work. I thought to myself "Oh well, time to move back to WinMo again".

Here comes the weird part: I clicked the top button (sleep mode in WinMo, home screen or recent in Android) and suddenly it started calling and my home phone received the call just fine.

I then put my Topaz into sleep and waited for the LED to become green and then called it. Now it worked perfectly fine.

I'd like the clock app to get started whenever I up the phone on the charger. That seems to be possible, but the Clock application does not recognize my cradle as a "dock". Is this a missing driver issue or a hardware limitation ?

About the battery fix: as soon as I plug the phone on the charger, the desktop shows "100 % Charged". Is this a known issue ?

BTW I'm totally amazed at how Android is running fine in the latest builds. I'm really considering (despite the still open issues here and there) to use it as my main OS. I just need to figure out the best way to sync my Outlook contacts with Google ...

Do you think posting your request every 90 minutes will help you more? Stop that please.

If you dont care to read what others has done (no offence but if you look into the last 10 pages you'll have your answer) then I suggest that you just download the bundle for starters. Nothing else. Copy the setting.txt as apropriate and make that running. If it does not run you should format your sd card. First back up everything on it and then format. Then put everything back on the card. Try again.
Hope it works out for you....

This is the first time it has happened to me, don't know if it has happened to anyone. Yesterday I connected my mobile to my computer (USB with Android running on my mobile) and for the first time, WinXP detected it as a "smartphone" but couldn't install the drivers.

I didn't know that USB access to this Android version on HTC Topaz is possible. Which makes me ask everyone.. Do you know where I can download the drivers from? I use Android as my main OS cuz it lets me access my gmail and google talk easily, unlike windows and for calls, I have a second number so it doesn't bother me much, except that every few hours, i have to restart cuz it drops from the network. I can wait for that to be fixed but a set of drivers would help.

Sorry for my English...

This did not work for me in standart configuration ut when inserting pm.sleep_mode=3 in startup.txt it seems help.
but I assume energy consumption will be quite higher
How is your experiance

Cheers

Hey,

I own a Topaz (GSM) .

So if you need to test new stuff, do let me know i am ready to help you out.

I now have a working android build with all sound and voice , speech working along with wifi and bluetooth.

Only camera module is not working, so if you need all kinds of data dumps along with debug logs do let me know.

Battery drive lasts for hours exactly I don't know, may be 7 hours. it should at least last for two days. like my WinMo does.

Uploading new Dmesg.log file for your analysis.

Note- Topaz Android developers , if u need any help or debug message for ananlysis please advise. thnx

have done it still not showing at setting there, beside, the music application show that i don't have a SD card inserted, is it need to create something to let it recognize a SD card?

I had the same problem with sound OK but ringtones empty. The problem was resolved renaming media folder to Media (in the root of the card, or if you have rel_path in startup.txt then in the coresponding folder).

The SD card in android is mounted on sdcard folder.

I have been trying to use this on the imagio. I used the Blackstone Startup file, but my device justs reboots when i run the haret.exe file. Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded the XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.29.7.10.RC2.1.7z, unzipped it and copied everything to the SD Card (root area), I then moved the Blackstone startup file to the root area, but as I said, the device will only reboot. On the market i found the dutch dictionary pack, and i downloaded it.
After a reboot from my phone i could not find the dutch language anywhere.
Does anyone have a clue what is going wrong, because i need the dutch language.
For the rest my topa100 works fine, except for the camara, and the usb connection, and de battery is going down very rapidly. +/- 2 hours.
i did install the latest battery fix+wifi.

This question may have been asked already, but I couldn't find it, so here it is again.

My Android keeps opening apps in the background such as Amazonmp3 etc. Why does it open these apps?

Also, even after the battery fix, it still shows the wrong percentage. I.e. when I'm at 85% in Android, it's at 99% in WinMo.
Another problem is that my battery drains very fast.

With pm.sleep_mode=2 I can receive calls when the phone is in deep sleep! Sometime after a call of several minutes the phone may hang, needing a softreset.
The config is in signature. With battery fix wifi works, but bluetooth doesn't, or better... the device can detect other bt devices but it cannot be seen nor get a pairing.

Its rebooting because of the startup.txt, try different startup.txt from other devices, but i can´t promise anything because XDAndroid its not developed for the Whitestone ( Verzion Imagio ).

The battery drain is also know but tough to trouble shoot.

But stay patiente, it's known and if we're lucky it will be fixed.

I can utilize pm.sleem_mode=3 using the following procedure:
- boot
- wait until phone fall asleep (LED no light)
- wake it using the top botton
- make a call

- let it fall sleep (green light)
:) no deep sleep wakup problem

Can use it 3-4 hours then but have unstable network here, so extra energy is needded to connect

If I hust make a call after rebbot, it cannot utilize the deep sleep means I have red / green flashing
Then have up time of 2.5 hours max.

Regarding our lcd unlocking problem, can someone recreate our unlocking problem ( when you unlock the phone via end call button and the key lights up but the screen is still off, you will need to wait for about 5-20mins so that the device enters in the deep sleep mode to recreate the bug ) and after that provide me with the dmesg.
P.S.: Try to recreate the problem and then after that unlock it few times with the power button and end call button.

With this fixed modules+zimage the battery meter actually is a bit more accurate.
With pmsleep 2 command I don't have the deep sleep bug.
Wifi is working, bt cannot pair with the laptop.
Pretty usable though... I could use it daily, BUT 'cause huge battery drain and in call voice too loud I gave up.

Not 100% sure - but when I DL a danish dictionary I also have to DL a corresponding keyboard. Otherwise the dictionary does not have an effect.
Regarding battery. The first thing I do is to enter Location service and turn Use Gps off. And also close 3G. (I dont need the bandwith). The around 300k I get from using edge is enough for me. This helps a lot on comsumption.

According to recent XDAndroid commits Android-side support for accessing the camera. For now it was stubbed and you could only see a "demo scene". But we still lack kernel side support for the camera. And let me tell you, that the camera app freezes as expected. :)

Stop posting your questions twice! This is a breach of forum rules (http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=263).

I assume you mean the in-call volume. And if you had used the search - also detailed in the first point of the forum rules - you would have found out, that this is a known issue.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but this thread would be 2000 posts shorter if one would actually search for the information.

Enough for playing the bad boy and don't take it too personal.

The demo scene is the checkerboard with the floating/moving grey square on it. And it freezes because I did an XDAndroid build last evening and the camera app freezes/hangs and needs to be FCed because there is no kernel side support for camera implemented for topaz.

They should merge this battery fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8093610&postcount=2) with the new speaker fix. That battery fix is not exactly 100% accurate but much much more accurate than the previous, I'd say it's about 95% accurate.

I don't think the developers can do anything about the new issue I'm facing but I'll post it anyway. Moderators, please let me know if you want to create a new thread for this issue.

I have been using the latest build (i forget the date but my sound works, with battery fix and the works). I have been heavily using google talk but since this morning, it has stopped connecting. The error i get is "could not connect to server, will retry shortly". This error doesn't come up in my WiFi Connection only when i use my data. My data works cuz I can browse the internet, check gmail, do everything.

I googled the issue and apparently lots of people are having this issue but google hasn't fixed it yet. Is there a way for me to remove my saved gmail id (without deleting the image file cuz I'm reading an eBook and would hate to miss the spot where I am at).

Hi,

currently enjoying the latest install on may Topaz. I have two issues right now. 1: When using Google maps and GPS I end up south of Uganda, Africa. This is weird considered I am located in Gothenburg, Sweden... :-) Any thoughts why? It seems to work for most others.
2: When holding on the text frame I only get three input options; some weird looking letters, Android keyboard and Japanese. I was looking for Swedish and swedish dictionary. Anyone that can tell me why or how to get swedish?

Thanks in advance and go developers!

1. Wait for a while (~20mins ) outside somewhere, gps needs to be initialised to show your exact location.
2. I think there are only japanese/chinese IME, but i am not sure. :(

I installed and some observations:

1 Sound OK
2 wifi get networks only if enabled in winmo
3 In phone calls if I receive a call the microphone it's not working (another party can't hear me). If I am the caller the microphone it's OK
4 Sprite migrate importing contacts, sms and call logs into android and synced with google account
5 Gallery working 75%, this mean from 4 starts 1 crash (aprox)
6 Waking the device need some times 3-4 keypress.

Thanks, a little development and we can forget winmo :)

Wow, do I really have to wait ~20 min for the GPS to find satelites? Is this as it is not fully functional yet? (On Winmo it takes about 20 sec).
I also read this version should be multi language. Any ideas for how to set-it up for swedish? (I read that someone got it by connecting to market but nothing hapens for me doing that...)

Thanks,

... Still questioning the ~20 minute wait time for GPS...
If Assisted-GPS is not enabled it for sure takes longer then when satelite data is available to perform a "fix". Especially when you are inside a building, it takes a long time. Even in WinCE.

Of course it shouldn't really take 20minutes, but this is a phone and no dedicated car navigation device.

Third, and most important factor: All work done for getting android to run and function - which already tells it - is by no means production ready, nor polished. We have still a very long road to go.

I got a KP a few seconds after running haret.
any ideas?
Also, I'm using a TOPA210 htcpure.
I have the same phone. the startup.txt is set up to run android from the andboot folder. extracting everything to the sd card wont work unless you change it in the startup.txt file

Thanks for your answer. I will play around with it some more. I am aware that there are ways to go before a fully functional version but with the sound issue fixed we people think the developers can do anything, and fast! :-)

Hi!

I download lastest bundle and copy them to my phone, all ok.

installed the newest version and there were some problems.

1 ) no incomming calls
2 ) not recieving calls
3 ) no filemanager ( i downloaded one from market :D)

solution

i restarted 2-3 times with pincode (enabled in WM)
between the restart i opened some applications and disable/enable wifi/flightmode/bluetooth

after that:

incomming calls are ok
recieving calls are ok

wifi works without enable in WM
bluetouth works without enable in WM
after i made a connection with data in "market" i was able to download via wifi.

I also installed SetCPU and experiment with 525-122 setting , and i think that helps the battery drain. I read somewere else that setting the CPU to 525-525 also less drain the battery because the CPU don't have to "switch" from 525 Mhz to 122 Mhz

battery % still is not accurate but there's improvement WM 58% vs Android 49%

yesterday (with older sytem) i let the battery run to 15% in WM and with the usb connection connected i started Android and de charging animation last 90 minutes until the battery was realy full. then the animation stopped and system gave a 100% full battery :D
This is not with the newest system/files

Keep up the good work, and when camera and powermanagment works (better) i donate :o:D and switch to Android :D

It never ends? If you'd bother to search you would have known the answers yourself

1. Wait for it to get a fix. It will come. Mine came after 1 min. Others has reported about 20 mins. And please dont complaint about this. At some point it will be fixed. If its possible.
2. Correct! DEvelopers has been working on that for month! It will be fixed - if possible
3. Correct. Known issue. Eventually it will become better. It will be fixed - if possible.

You could support by throwing some doug at the developers!!!

AND Please use search prior to asking!!!! (or just read the frontpage and last 5 pages - where people has asked/ noted EXACT the same stuff!)

Sorry - had a bad day!

That's been answered a thousand times already. It's for debugging purposes to see if the device really sleeps when suspended. (panel off) RED=awake GREEN=sleeping

Same here. Read before you post and use the search! Camera is not working, yet. No audio could mean just no ringtones found. Use the search and look for some dedicated topic in the topaz android forum.

Everybody: Use the search and read before you post!

These two simple things are two major parts of the forum rules, and it is slowly getting a bit annoying to answer questions again and again which were answered one or two pages before!

We could all be much more productive if we wouldn't have to spend the time re-answering the same question over and over again. We could save time and XDA precious resources. Think about it.

Been answered before several times! Settings->Lang & Keyboard->Switch to Android Keyboard.

Yeah, but I didn't have any options to select input method there. I just could configure both Android and Japanese keyboards.

How to switch off Japanese Keyboard:
Go to any input text dialog (eg. in new SMS) and click on it to get focus (orange border). Then long press it. A new dialog will open. Click "Input method" and then "Android keyboard".

Another thing, is that latest kernel build (linux-msm.201009171902.tar.gz) seems not to work here, on TOPA100, while previous biuld (linux-msm.201009160702.tar.gz) works fine. System hangs with haret progress bar.

Just to report that mic doesn't work ONLY for incoming calls, in this case it's enough to press volume up/down key.
With last package menus, transitions, widget selections and various key pressing are slightly more laggy.

i've seen enough newbies trying to understand how this works and most of the dinosaurs trying to explain to them that they should search before posting or read 10 pages before posting.. Well, I'll try to compile everything here and hopfully a link to my post can be posted into the first 4 posts and posted everywhere to answer the questions.

Working stuff

Incoming calls
Outgoing calls
Audio
For ringtones, you need to setup the correct folders. Read the first 4 posts
DataImage is auto-generated.
System file and zImage is changed occasionally
Wifi works (no need to do anything in wm)
Txt msg works
Connecting to the pc through a USB works (Use Droid Explorer with Android SDK for the drivers)
Marketplace works
Download Astro or another file manager to browse for files and folders
Battery meter is a little bit more accurate

Not working stuff or improvements

Battery drain
dropping out of network and not reconnecting
Camera
Albums (maybe it works for some people, it doesn't for me)
wake up from deep-sleep is a little slow
LED light keeps changing colors or is the same color all the time. When it's green, then the phone is awake, Orange means it's sleeping (moderators please correct me if I'm wrong)

Information

DataImage is where all your settings, apps, basically everything u've done to customise your android experience. is stored there.
The latest build is a signed package. That means that your old dataImage will NOT work with it. You will have to DELETE it and YES you WILL loose your settings. (Is there an app to backup the settings on Android?)
Audio works but to setup your ringtones, you need to create a folder-tree.
/sdcard/media/alarms
/sdcard/media/notifications
/sdcard/media/ringtones
Keyboard Language, chage it by holding down (long press) any text box to get other options. You can also change it from the settings page. Just search yourself.
There isn't enough support for different languages so if you need a specific language, be patient or do your own research instead of posting here.
GoogleTalk and Marketplace WILL screw up in about a month's time if using the same ID in the same DataImage. It's a known bug with all android devices and Google hasn't fixed it. Use Droid Explorer to view the error logs and you'll find that it fails authentication because it doesn't pass the id and password to the server. There are only 2 resolutions Afaik, either delete the dataimage (u lose everything) or use the sqlexpress in Droid, find the database with the googleTalk account details and delete them (you'll find more than 1 instance) using SQLExpress. I've done the 2nd option and it works.
You can use NimBuzz (better than MeeBo or other IM agents) to chat with your google, msn, yahoo, icq, irc, jabber, facebook (lots of chat options) accounts and it's buttons are finger-friendly.

Note to Developer/Moderator
Can you create a READ ME file whenever you release a new version and add it with the rest of them in the root (where you have zImage) with the same details (faq, need to know info and maybe a release log) so that people when copy-paste it into their SDCARD, maybe would read the file out of curiosity. It's just gonna take a few minutes to create an indexed, WORD doc.. I can make one for you if you wish. Just let me knw.

I've tried to touch all bases here but if I have forgotten anything then just use the option "Search this thread" ;)

Thanks winggie for that list, quite informative

I just have a question for developers, sorry if it's been asked recently i swear i searched well ;)

I love using my phone for videos, and experience lag in playback especially when streaming mp4 online with good settings (settings that work mint on WinMo but choke XDAndroid up).

I understand that the whole 3d part is laggy, and will see improvement in future releases...i just need clarification that video playback/streaming will work as well as winmo.

Before i think about donating here need to be positive XDAndroid is right for me :D

Thanks again to all involved!

on android, can you add a "p" to pause between dialing numbers? on windows mobile i can.

I tend to dial into conferences and i tend to save the entire number including the pass code. but before the pass code is entered, there needs to be a 2-3 second wait.

i tried it on this build version and it errors out.

Again, thanks for the rehash Winngie.
I've been scouring all of the Android threads, but especially this one looking for someone else reporting the problem I'm having.
Everything works smoothly except bluetooth. It's a little odd. I can turn on bluetooth, and I can scan for and find devices, but I cannot connect or communicate with them. Accordingly, even when I make my device discoverable it cannot be found by other devices.
Even with all of the latest files on this week's build the problem still persists. This is my only big hang-up that prevents a full time switch.

Please help!!

Is there any more info that is needed to help with this?

Thanks for all of your hard work, and for taking time out for a noob such as myself :D

After latest package updates my phone will no longer vibrate. anyone having the same issue? anyone have a solution? also yes I searched and came up with nothing so if I have missed something then I apologize.
All in all this latest 9/17 version is great I'm loving it and am going to try and use it full time.

Also, I just noticed another error, while the phone is in deep sleep it will receive texts but it doesn't take calls. ideas?

Ok, which exact kernel version (which Build ID) was the last which worked for you?

is linux-msm-topa100-2010-08-26-A-monodie-only-sound-pkg

my god, no i tried to sign into google market but instead of QWERTY keyboard i see ABC one, with some kind of T9... Really, some changes in this version are higher then me... btw, why i have English and some Chinese crap? Why Chinese? Why not French or Polish?

+ in previous versions some filemanager was integrated into android, why its gone now?

on android, can you add a "p" to pause between dialing numbers? on windows mobile i can.

I tend to dial into conferences and i tend to save the entire number including the pass code. but before the pass code is entered, there needs to be a 2-3 second wait.

i tried it on this build version and it errors out.

ie. try 12344456456p19984#

Instead of "p", maybe you should try "*".......

i've seen enough newbies trying to understand how this works and most of the dinosaurs trying to explain to them that they should search before posting or read 10 pages before posting.. Well, I'll try to compile everything here and hopfully a link to my post can be posted into the first 4 posts and posted everywhere to answer the questions.

Regarding the LED light its opposite, green=sleeping, orange=awake.
Tnx for posting this, if you mind can you update this post as new problems/infos came up, i have also a lot of work to do so i dont have time, anyway if you want you can create the doc file with usefull infos or something and we will include it in the next bundle package that will come. Tnx for you dedication to the project.

Well i really dont know if it will work as in WinMo, could be better or worse, anyway there is still a long way for Topaz&Rhodium devices for the hw3d integration. Lets all be patient and wait, when it will be enabled try it and if you are satisfied donate to the project. That is all i can say for now.

Hi,
I tried the latest build and updated with latest RFS, Kernel
First was very disappointed, runing not as good as build before (with Kernel from 15th)
Had a lot of hangs deep sleeps.
Then I did following changes:
- put it on Root of SD
- Changed Startup.txt
+removal od andboot option
+ add force_cdma=0 & pm.sleep_mode=3

after start I have to wait until sleep, wake itup with top button, place a call

Now it is much better except I have to use Vol Button to be heared when getting taking a call. Energy consumtion looks to be ok,
I think this will not be a big problem to fix.
Thanks a lot you / we are not far from a daily use system

Cheers Dirk

Audio works but to setup your ringtones, you need to create a folder-tree.

/sdcard/media/alarms
/sdcard/media/notifications
/sdcard/media/ringtones

How to create and where
Thanks

On your sd card, if you for example have all in the "andboot" folder then:
sdcard/andboot/media -> create here folder called "alarms"
-> create here folder called "notifications"
-> create here folder called "ringtones"

Hi guys,
Good Job , first time I reach 6 hours standby (less than 10% remaining according battery meter)

attatched Startup.txt I am using

following condition

- Topaz 100
- Andrid startup files in root
- no CDMA, but SIM
- Latest Froyo from this thread, updated Glem Som Kernel and Roofs 17.09.

Outgoing Call is needed after 1st sleep for proper initialisation

works well so far except volume button is needed to be pressed when receiving a call to hear something

All the best

I'm guessing that 3d game support will be much the same as my movie question a few posts ago...
hw3d is being worked on, and I'm guessing will play most 3d games just fine when done.

As for the LED I think the biggest power draw would come from it spazzin out when sleeping, flashing back and forth like it does.

ok. please help. I have a touch diamond 2. and i've tried to find the answers, but i could not.

I've installed XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.FRX01.17.09.10.UPDATE_PACKAGE and it seems to work fine.

however, i find the system gets very sluggish. perhaps ram gets chewed up. I want to continue to use android on the TD2 permanently, but it seems very flaky. now, i've tried to do some research on rootfs. apparently this could help, but i cannot find any info on what it exactly does now how it would help. i managed to find the following, but not sure if these will help my device run smoother.

rootfs-20100917-f4eabbb.zip
initrd-20100813-b11116a.gz

note - we were all once learning.

Hi there!

I got the same error and I think it's because the system.ext2 file has the name
XDANDROID.2.2.AOSP.3.9.10.RC.2.2.system.ext2 in the suoplied file.

Did someone figure out a reason or even solution for the crash on incoming calls?

Expect that annoying bug android does quite well on my TD2:
- Sound working
- Playing music also works pretty good
- Data connection works without any issue
- Wakeup behaviour improved a lot (in relation to the last version i tried)
- Outgoing calls work just fine
- First 2D games i tried are a bit slow but still playable
- Video playback is still not fluid for me (guess because of missing HW-Accel)
- Incoming calls still crash andoid in most cases

Anyway, nice work!
Keep up with it and free us from that nasty windows mobile ;)

Hi,
try following:

With last Kernel on my Topaz 100:
as mentioned before:
- after boot let it fall asleep
- wake up with top button
- make a call

when you take call press volume button

Then I can hear and speak,

Uptime more than 40 hours now (with charging)

but one how to say... strage error:
When I charge overnight, the clock is 10 minutes back in the morning.

So my Alarm clock comes 10 Min later

Mate don't use google talk. Use NimBuzz because google talk will only work for 1 month. Trust me, it's a known bug for a few years and google aint fixing it. Just google for the issues with Google talk on android and you will find that everyone has a problem with it. Hi, maybe you could change the text in the first posts. If you're not familiar with any of this, you could think that "Note: You'll need a new data.img as this package is signed." means that you'll need to get a new one, instead of needing to let XDAndroid create a new one automatically.

Hi,

first of all apologize for my bad English. But I hope you understand it anyway :-)

lob First of all, a very large one. I find this version of Android times really awesome and I hope that when all problems are eliminated, ROM WM6.5 seems to install to replace, or possibly even a boot manager to both systems, each run by capricious can.

But one criticism I have to get rid of. Possibly. It changes you, yes.
When I started Android, he identified himself connected to the Internet. What I personally was not that great, I have no flat and no data plan. If I want to watch something, I use free wireless networks.

In any case I am of the opinion that one should put the settings any way connects the Android no Internet. Because for me it was so, until I have the settings made to Android has already used up by 30 euros (no data plan = GPRS by call).

Android is the way via the provider to the Internet even if you are connected to the WLAN. If it is not noticed so it can be expensive (You think you go through his router.).

I hope you can do something there. Otherwise, keep it up, I find it a successful project.

Greetings
Riker
