Hi all. First time poster, long time lurker -- this place is as you know, awesome. I am sure someone here can help me with my bone-headed move.
Long story short: Recently reimaged my Kaiser Wm6.0 (step 1) and all was working wonderfully. Then one night I got drunk (step 2) and had some networking problems on my PC, XP Sp3, ActiveSync 4.5. I fiddle around with networking stuff, nothing out of the ordinary, but at one point I check out my network control panel and I see a NIC for the ActiveSync connection and figure "what the hell" and I delete it. My connection to the mobile drops, of course. Not surprisingly this was not the cause of my networking problems.
My problem is that since then, i have only been able to connect via ActiveSync in "standard" mode; i have to keep the "use advanced networking features" for the USB to PC connection unchecked. If I try to check it, i get the three fast-fail connection error audio on my PC and active sync will not connect.
Clearly when i deleted the NIC on my PC i porked this up somehow, but I can't figure out how to regain that functionality. I don't see any hidden devide in device manager.
Anyone got any help for a foolish troubleshooting drunk?
Many thanks for all the help this site has given me over the years, and of course thanks in advance for any help with this issue.
Cheers
