Key: "CurLang"
Value(DWORD): Language Code (1033 Eng, 1031 Ger,... you get the idea, google for codes...)

So as i cannot remember who was it who asked, hope you read it ;)

2-MMS restored
3-Ringtones in scroll down menus restored
4- Added another auto-operator config because WM6.5's is still not complete
5- Performance reg tweaks (comparing stock Xperia RGUs vrs WinMo6.5 RGUs and testing both, picking the best of each one, but keeping compatibility)

tOuch! Flo MAKES THE DEVICE SLOOOW LOL :p because it adds TONS of files and MEM processes

It is very hard to get the XPERIA customization AND tOuch! Flo working simultaneously (ROM and RAM size limits, processor speed, etc), have to choose one or other...

As long as I know, nobody has yet made a CAB will all the Rhodium or Topaz shizzz, it has been cooked-in only, but no CABs out there (:confused:)

You should ask Smaberg or Itje since they have nice working Manila ROMs

I guess the themes engine (or some required REGs) has not yet been incorporated into this BETA build

Hey, guys, when I name this rom RUU_signed.nbh and run X1_HardSPL.exe I follow the instructions and the progress bar both on the PC and on my Xperia jump from 0 to 100% in 1 second. It says "Contratulations! Your ROM update is now complete..." and the phone reboots, but it`s still my old WM 6.1.
Any ideas?
P.S. Just before the progress bar appears on the phone my Vista beeps like when the USB connection is off.

EDIT: I installed .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and now when I start the update process the usb connection again becomes disconnected the progress bar on the phones stays on 0% and on the PC X1 HardSPL puts up this error:

I really like your rom,
as adviced (and as i always do) i installed SEX1 "X series" taskbar icons :D

but

when a data connection is active (in my case all the time "Push Email") i can see the G/E/3G/H but without the bars indicating the signal quality :(:confused:

i installed this rom and one thing i face
inside any folder or any prog. like Start>Settings>System> Task manager
and when u click close button...it turns directly to today screen.
i dont know this is a bug or not..but its not funny anymore to surf.
and also when u install a prog. its icon places in main folder..not like 6.1 in Programs folder.
i think i didnt love this 6.5 version :(
i hope there is a fix for this

Instead of that, and having 120+ MB of free RAM, I use the hardware "x" button, then when I want tos witch apps, I tap the upper "x" and a screen opens showing me all of my opened apps / progs and I tap on a program for task switching

the fack that X closes apps it's not 6.5 thing, it's because HTC Task Manager is installed.

You can disable it by click the icon in home page, click on the tool button and then go to Button Tab and disable first checkbox.


Nice to get back the Xperia pin entry with the new build. Connection setup working fine here.

Nope no third party apps running at all and the device had been soft reset about 2 hours previously.

Basically I heard a message notification sound, reached into my pocket and the the device was turned on (even though I've got notification pop-ups turned off) and the screen was completely white with wire framed boxes lining up with where the task manager icons should be.

Now the only thing I'd seen similar to those wire frames was when I'd tried to load the Touch FLO 3d album, which failed completely apart from loading images (as expected), but no touch control worked.

Needless to say that was removed but I'm wondering it it may have caused some corruption or left some nasty traces behind.

The other issue over text new notifications not showing in the 'band' on the today screen - any ideas?

Think it is worth a hard reset and rebuild again?

(Off to holidays on Friday) and tomorrow night will hopefully be spent loading Win 7 on the PC before we go away, so if I do it then it has to be tonight, either a hard reset and rebuild of loading WC's new ROM (if he has it ready in time).

That htc album could have broken something as you say, I'd do a hard reset and then well see if it was the album thing.

this may have been answered already but for others HDSPL does not change rom but flashes in a similar fashion. when you put phone in bootloader mode you will see your new SPL version displayed. you then have to flash your new rom not try flashing HDSPL again. if you were able to flash HDSPL then you have necessary .net framework already installed and didn't neccesarily need to install .net framework 3.5. if no .net framework program wont run at all. once HDSPL is done you just need RUU tools and .nbh image file(rom file) some chefs provide full flashing utils when you download rom.

bad RAR compression huh? imagine that! who woulda guessed it. i found it strange that after fresh boot youtube only works once and then will not work again. i think that there is an issue with the actual app and build used. Shadowmike's rom has youtube and it plays flawlessly maybe it the pure X1 stuff that the issue - actual base of build. touch-it blackstone youtube will install but not put a shortcut in programs menu. x1 v0.1a gives cannot play error even after applying file patch. when try to uninstall youtube or reinstall it you get permissions error. might need to go back to basics on youtube issue. why not try to put in build and resolve prior to release? now that we have experienced the purity of the rom lets now dirty it a bit and get all our custom apps working without prob

First off gotta say this is a great rom. Gratz & hope to get more roms from u in times to come.

Been flippin through the pages but can't seem to find a problem similar to the one I faced...or I might've missed it so if I did...sorry bout it.

The main problem I faced was after I installed your customization pack. If I had lock screen on... and gotta do a reboot it always prompt me that I had the wrong pin entered although it was correct. Lock screen was set before installing your customization pack. There was no way I could access the phone, so I did a hard reset.

I tried out with both ver. 1 & 2 of your customization pack and the same thing happens. Not sure if anyone else faces this problem too but I dare not enable lock screen till now...yet... as I had to hard reset twice coz of this.

Thing is... I enable lock screen before installing customization pack. If I enable it only AFTER installing the pack it seems to work fine... but if I require a few reboots after that same thing happens. Could it be something that I've done wrong?

Nonetheless thanks for the great rom. Like it alot although youtube & autoflash isn't working for me too, but like you mentioned it was a bad compression so look forward to a newer one.

bad RAR compression huh? imagine that! who woulda guessed it. i found it strange that after fresh boot youtube only works once and then will not work again. i think that there is an issue with the actual app and build used. Shadowmike's rom has youtube and it plays flawlessly maybe it the pure X1 stuff that the issue - actual base of build. touch-it blackstone youtube will install but not put a shortcut in programs menu. x1 v0.1a gives cannot play error even after applying file patch. when try to uninstall youtube or reinstall it you get permissions error. might need to go back to basics on youtube issue. why not try to put in build and resolve prior to release? now that we have experienced the purity of the rom lets now dirty it a bit and get all our custom apps working without prob

thanks again gtrab - the registry tweaks worked! interesting though caused i've used the disable sms wake up in the original R1 Rom and it didn't work. had to create the dword, just like for this one, but it works here!

anyway - this ROM has hung on me a couple of times (like 1 - 2 times a day) things that happen - sleep of death (i thought i was delivered from this since the hermes days!) and also home page hangs - phone remains in other pages but not in home.

will try the new release if i can get it downloaded...

I have loaded the latest Full version ROM (01 May, .23), so now I have a question:

- Isn't Xperia Panels supposed to work? I have a shortcut in Startup, "\Windows\Panelmanager.exe" /BOOT , but it fails to start the panel manager (no error or anything)

Manually trying to start the panel manager in file manager seems to add the shortcut in Startup, but no luck starting the panel manager.

hi!
been trying on some great ROMs for my X1 lately including this one and found out that using WM 6.5 ROMs affected my syncing.

after flashing 2 ROMs with 6.5 (not in a day of course :p ) i cant seem to make my activesync work. says, "cannot open connection. '57600 Default' this connection is no longer valid or does not exist." :(

things i did:
1. unchecked "enable faster data synch" (like i used to)
2. hard reset (manually & thru "clear storage")
3. uninstalled windows mobile device center, downloaded new/updated device center from microsoft & reinstall
4. flashed ROM back to 6.1 (touch x by smaberg)

number 4 healed my activesync problem!
thank goodness coz i have a meeting tom and dont want to be there with just my k800

is the problem because 6.5 is not officially out yet and hence no windows mobiel device manager for it yet too? or is it just me and my simplemindedness?

im sad coz im starting to love the simplicity & the functionality of 6.5 interface

while gtrab is working hard to get youtube working on 6.5 - no harm in trying Wild Childs rom while we wait for gtrab to get his going as pure x1 is a hit! unfortunately it is difficult getting youtube on pure x1 as that app is not supported but ported from another device. this guys work hard on these roms. wild child already has youtube working on his wm6.5 build so cant hurt to try it!

WOW@ alien packages....lmao....and if you "port" something over its still alien....if things werent ported....they would be included in the original X1 software ....correct? The 6.5 xip and sys were "ported" over to make it work....so i guess the whole system is alien.

are you sure this is a beta version of 6.5? it's so stable to be beta (except IE is crashing and small stuff in the UI)
IE Crash : i use arabic language, i ported an old Arabic support to 6.5 and included HW Keyboard DLL to support both arabic & english interface. whenever i open a website in arabic (including google http://google.com.sa) IE crashes! but who cares Opera is great :D
the other one is SMS UI
SMS UI : reply to an SMS in portrait, type something, slide the phone to landscape. the reply form width is still portrait and you can see the List of SMSes behind it (right side)! but again who cares, if i want landscape i will switch before hitting the reply button :D:cool::eek:

could it be a regional setting selection? i set mine for English (Australia) and the numbers show up fine.

Gtrab ... just want to say MANY THANKS for ur hard work.
I am very impressed with the W4X.23-BB speed.
All of my applications are working properly.
- GarminXT
- QuickGPS
- Fingerkeyboard 2.1 + SIPChange v.2
- Media Panel R3A
if I may give suggestions, do not forget to do a hardreset after flashing ROM and always install 3rd party apps (except GarminXT) to the device, not storage card. In my experience, all applications will work well ..

i think its time i tell it like it is! this is not just good work but execellent work. many hours of testing and re cooking to get something made that appeals to the massive. i still think sex1 pure was a massive massive rom and better in my opinion. that rom opened my eyes to the potential of WM6.5 on X1. you have done great work here gtrab honestly and i wait in great anticipation to see how you gonna make pure alien free port of youtube to experia! maybe speak to developers at sony ericsson to make one! :D

please people for all new roms flashed please please hard reset. that cleans your phone out by deleting any remaining files from prev roms. this minimizes conflicts and ensures that new rom flashed is all thats on your phone. i normally hard reset at calibration screen. if you cant turn phone off just remove batt and use method described by gtrab in earlier post. cant stress enough how important that is especially when coming from wm6.1 to wm6.5! :D

Small problem between the chair and keyboard though...

When i connect the USB cable to the phone to sync it with MS outlook, I get this message:
Cannot open the connection '57600 Default'. This connection is no longer valid or does not exist. Select a different connection and try again.

In my Windows Vista device manager, i can see the phone. Also, if in connection settings i check the "Disk Drive" radio box in "USB to PC", it opens fine.

Anybody have any idea what i may be doing wrong???

the cab did appear for a short time but was then pulled down by microsoft. now if you try to visit the site it says "coming soon"

things i did:
1. unchecked "enable faster data synch" (like i used to)
2. hard reset (manually & thru "clear storage")
3. uninstalled windows mobile device center, downloaded new/updated device center from microsoft & reinstall
4. flashed ROM back to 6.1 (touch x by smaberg)

number 4 healed my activesync problem!
thank goodness coz i have a meeting tom and dont want to be there with just my k800

is the problem because 6.5 is not officially out yet and hence no windows mobiel device manager for it yet too? or is it just me and my simplemindedness?

im sad coz im starting to love the simplicity & the functionality of 6.5 interface

have fun with it mate but be careful. some people are different and flashing styles vary. as a rule i try to use a rom for at least 24 hrs before looking at what else is out there. i just feel it gives a better feel for the rom and discover any bugs you may find! enjoy it mate as you are here at an exciting time for wm6.5 rom development :D

Hard reset didn't help, still the same problem starting Xperia Panelmanager.

I saw on youtube that mypocketnow (Or somthing) showed a version of Windows Mobile 6.5 he got from this site. Where he could reject a call using a slider function (Iphone like)

He showed that on the HTC HD is that online native to that device??

go to the startmenu, and press lock at the bottom left (i think its there anyway)

then if you get a call when its locked like that. you have to slide to answer or reject.

its really bad though, the lock program, lags, delays etc etc

renamed to KOVSimg.nbh (on memory card root).

Loaded (volume down + power, Olinex HardSpl loading ROM... ), configured and load xperia OEM stuff, then hard reset again, still no panels.

But Panelmanager.exe is running as a process(in taskmanager). (5.05MB)

What to do ?
Is there some secret way to start the Panels?

You need to HardSPL your phone first.

I suggest you to download from the very first post, many mirrors went up inside this thread with the corrupted ROM W4X.19 version

Go to settings->device info and check if yours is W4X.23

Finally i have all configurated and the Rom is great!

Its the best i saw - made with soul, working without problems. Thats a Rom witch convinces to not use one of my own languages ;-)

A question here from USA
As everybody is only talking from the X1 I guess it would be nice when we, who owns the X1a, have also the compatibility to install those nice Roms.
I ask this question because of the Radio difference between countries and I, or we don't want to loose the reception or the network connection.
It would be nice to get an answer because the whole Forum is only about the X1 and nothing about the X1a in USA.
