sprint carrier 20090109 downgrade???

my first rom installed yesterday
dcd 4.1.2
after that i installed the 20090109 carrier cab
it noted that this was a downgrade in the install completion pop-up
i guess i shouldn't have installed it
is there a newer carrier cab?
i did just have the phone upgraded at sprint corporate last week to wm6.1/rev.a
maybe there was a new carrier included?
i thought the carrier was deleted with a new rom install though
or do i have this all wrong?

That is the newest carrier cab for sprint. I think you did something wrong or read incorrectly. There is no carrier info after you flash a custom rom like DCD

i installed the carrier after the rom
thats when the message came up

i'm not having any issues or anything
i just saw it...so i'm mentioning it

i'm more curious about the process
i was under the impression there shouldn't be a carrier on the phone after a rom upgrade
and the message surely made me feel like it was changing from a current carrier

Are you sure you properly updated the bootloader, radio and ROM? I've never seen a message like that.

well im going to have to agree as a noob
i just checked my bootloader and it wasnt olipro
it definitely gave me problems
olipro would go through the first sequence
but when it was time to unplug usb and reconnect...
well it wouldnt catch activesync and continue
problem is my 128mb microsd wont format properly
so im stuck doing the activesync
any help for this nub appreciated

i'm so confused
if the dcd rom didn't go through then how do i have at least part of the custom rom?
i see a few of his customized menus

but then again...some of my customized registry entries still hold true...
like a 45 second keyboard backlight timeout

i guess half a rom isn't a full rom
so i should just safely assume this is failed
and get it working 100%

in search of a non-sdhc micro-sd under 2gb

everything seems to be corrected
2.47 is holding solid
no strange messages from the carrier install
thanks for making me look that extra time
installing from an sd card is much smoother
