thanks for the compliments :D new version is going to include office, windows live, widgets...its gonna have it all :cool: im working on the theme issue this afternoon, been kinda busy with work so not sure when it will be ready. as far as other changes, 6.5 will have a new theme and overall design but apps and manilla tabs, etc will all be the same. about the donations, i havent gotten any so far....i dont do this for money. what i do is, i donate to the people who help me with tools and resources to build my roms, and it would be nice if i could get enough donations to cover that. so if you like my roms and are able to donate i would really appreciate the help.

i havent had that problem, start button has always worked for me :confused: but there is plenty of other things popping up i have to fix :(

I have been running the 6.5 beta for about a day now, got to do some good testing on it last night... in other words my lady took my phone from me for a couple hours and I heard about every little thing she felt was wrong.

As for the real concerns I have found, and she came across, there are only a few...

I loaded up the HTC YouTube player... It loaded fine, searched fine, but when it came time to play a video it just hung on "connecting" then wouldn't fully close, even using advanced task manager, and wouldn't open back up until a soft reset. Did the same thing after the soft rest.

The pictures tab doesn't load any pictures saved to my SD card in the DCIM/100 Media folder... Also, I found that when in slide show, if I brought up the menu(save to contact, properties, ect one) I couldn't flip down the list, it would go white... I could tap the down arrow to show the rest of the options, but if I flipped the list just went white.

My music tab froze the phone, had to soft reset, then if did load and play, but I couldn't get it to properly close, even using Advanced Task Manager... so it ate up 8% of the RAM, and slowed everything way down until a soft reset

I installed several other programs, Skyfire, Iris, Touch Pro Arcade Game Pack, and all of those work without a hitch.

All in all, this is a very stable, very fast, and solid foundation of a ROM. I am sure with some tweaking and a couple releases, it will be near perfect! My only quip would be that there is a lot of programs, especially redundant ones, cooked in taking up space. I know you are trying to please everyone by giving them the exact WiFi program they prefer, but I would much rather install things like that to my SD card and save space on the phone itself. I also really like the GfXboost being cooked in! But I will say that last I knew(I probably should check how developement is going) it caused some issues that I have reported, like YouTube not playing videos, and some other ones as well. I am pretty sure last time I checked he had just released a refresh saying that most of those issue seemed to be fixed, but still needed to be tested. I don't know how that testing went, but it might be a place to start with some of the problems.

When I get off work I will try testing the HTC YouTube app with GfXboost turned off and see what all that does, and also double check the other issues.

You forgot to have the USB to PC icon, so I can't turn off advanced network functionality: this causes Activesync not to work.

Disabled the advanced network functionality manually with a registry editor. Now I can sync again :)

Hello to all can anybody tell me how I can put the video call working in this rom please, I´ve tried different rom´s "6.1" and nothing... :( so if you can tell me "really explain to me" what I have to do and what i need eg: 3g dialer " i tried several!, or any config in band "phone settings"...

Well this is the registry change I made to turn off the Advanced Networking Functionality: (resulted in my phone successfully syncing with Outlook)

Setting registry key "HKLM\Drivers\USB\FunctionalDrivers" to "RNDIS" turns on the Advanced networking functionality. Setting it to "Serial_Class" turns it off. Once the change was done, I did a soft reset and then all was well. :)

Before you go staying up too late, My kids just played a DragonballZ You Tube
video, connected fine, played fine and the You Tube app closed fine.

My pictures and videos loaded up fine to my pictures tab and opened in album. I have them stored in storage card / my documents / my pictures. And everything played just fine in slideshow. And app closed just fine.

Same with music tab, found all my music on storage card , played and the closed just fine no, freezes no resets.

Sounds like you had a bad flash.

I was able to sync my email and calendar just fine... contacts was already checked but I unchecked it when setting up my work email. I was doing it all over the air, not hooked to a computer, so not sure if that would make a difference. I would offer to test contact sync too, but I have over 1000 contacts in the company directory, and that would be a nightmare to deal with. I am able to search the company directory just fine, though, so sync should work I would assume.

I was able to get the HTC YouTube app to work just fine, slow day at work and started messing around, even with gfxboost running. Not sure what the deal was?

And patience is all good! A good meal always takes some time to prep and cook. I wish I could get into cooking, but I don't really have enough understanding. I tried a little bit, but I know I wouldn't be able to give the trouble shooting support it takes.

And leaving out gfxboost is probably a good idea right now. If we want it, we can install it ourselves. And honestly, I think M2D works faster and better without it. There is a "smoothness" to it with it on, but it doesn't keep up with my finger scrolling as fast as possible. Also, video playback doesn't improve, since the benefits of it have to do with graphics rendering without a video player running. I think down the road, sure, it is a go! But for now, probably a good idea to leave it out.

I just tried reloading M2D, I already had it on my SD card as a cab from some other naked ROMs I flashed and loaded up with M2D, and that seems to have resolved my music playing issue. It was the same build as included. Maybe it didn't install quit right as you said.

Would just like to say you have a great ROM on your hands here. The V5 Extreme, but i find it quiet slow at times. Do you know why this could be?

Ive not upgraded so to speak my ROM since the Schaps/ Dutty days and your ROM caught my eye. Im very much in love now with all the colourful icons but find it quiet annoying that things are moving slowly...

Any fix for this?

Cancel the last... i realised the rom had dynamic page pool. changed it to 12mb and it flys....

Advance config will direct your pics to your my pictures folder from your camera, I can't remember the last time I ever had any pictures in the 100Media folder.

I still have cellularone which is now at&t so at&t internet and mms settings don't work and neither do "old" cellone setings. So without being able to change mms settings i cant send or receive mms. The reason i wont change to att is because they charge double for the same exact plan. Go figure.

ive tried that too msd, ive tried everything lol....if you do what you just said the theme partially works, but now all colors are right. what ive decided to do is just let yall choose which theme you like best in settings. i only included 2 themes in this version but will have more in later ones. so new thread it is :D i have screenshots uploaded let me have first five ;)

ok everything should install fine with your custom cabs and new 6.5...but cant say for sure because i dont know whats in them. check real player site as i have no idea about one for ppc, ive never seen in a rom. and to modify your sig, go to usercp top left of this page look in options left side of the page you will see :D btw, new 6.5 rom is up....made new thread go check it out.

Is there any way to get the 6.5 look without the honey-comb start menu? I like how the scroll bars and menus look (they are amazing looking) but I would prefer the old menu w/ m2d. In other words, is there an way to get this rom with the 6.5 look of the scroll bars and folders? I am going to miss around with the kitchens and was interested.

Check this out Panoramic LaunchPad (http://www.panoramicsoft.com/mobileapps/launchpad/LaunchPad.php) can take over the start menu "so when strat menu pressed opens app" :) Not free but cheap :)

tilt keyboard fix does not work for it.
installed the cab. still having keyboard issues in regards to the mapping of the keys. -- very annoying
like previously noted. the all programs tab works once.
wifi works fine.
no connections issues. after selected AT&T everything was perfect
pretty good ROM. i like the m2d / chome dual integration.

I have installed new rom for the first time on my HTC TYTN II so sorry if my questions suck :>

I installed TPC Extreme Loaded V5 succesfully but all i get after turning on the phone is black screen with HTC logo
WTF ? :)

any sugestions ?

tilt keyboard fix does not work for it.
installed the cab. still having keyboard issues in regards to the mapping of the keys. -- very annoying

Also, make sure you soft rest your phone right after installing it to the device memory. It doesn't say you have to, but it won't take affect until you do.

I would say try re-installing then soft reseting the phone right away.

v6 will be build 21501 and man is it FAST :D now has over 17 more mb storage, 34% RAM at soft reset, and still loaded with programs! here is latest benchmark

Under the programs tab, in the slot in row 4 column 3, I just have a white page with the windows sign. I also have the same thing in the slot in row 7 column 1 and in the slot in row 9 column 3.

Are these programs that weren't installed properly or are they just windows settings or registries?

The rom is running amazing thus far!

Also, I have never used AE Button Plus and have tried to research it but can't find anything on how to use it. I want to change the right softkey in the home tab to some function other than camera. Anyone know how to do that? Thanks

i knew there was something i forgot lol...those are the programs i took out this time, i forgot to change the shortcuts in launcher. just change to what you want for now, its not big deal :)

Can't do that with AE button, have to do that with M2DC. AE Button just does hard keys,

About the ROM: was clean and quick install, there was an initial lag in response to the clicks but a soft reset fixed that problem, working beautifully, WiFi connected right away with good data speed, the back up restore went beautifully, no duplication of entries this time and oh ya Google maps came up fast with a quick GPS lock.

Continuing with further testings.

One question, is there a way to change the on screen keyboard, its a beautiful keyboard but unfortunately for me I do not have the eyes to use those small letters.

Thank you Sir for the link and sorry to hear about Beyound, from what I just told me about him he sounds like a very nice guy and I still hope and pray that he will retun to us sooner then later.

I just noticed one thing in this ROM, FTP tab in start/settings/connections/bluetooth missing, so unable to setup data transfer via bluetooth but data transfer working through USB and active sync. A miner issue perhaps due to an over sight. As these chefs are working so hard and shooting versions one after another faster then I can test them (I can only speak for my self) :D

Thank you stylez, I finally got it working, the instructions were slightly different then actual for example the left soft key did not map out automatically but I got it working, its beautiful but its a single location setting not like multi location in M2D or did miss something?

I have just flashed this oldie but goody radio. The Speaker Volume is outstanding, at least 4 disciples louder than with any other radio I have used. The quality of the music is not compromised at all; no scratchy sounds.

I am using HardSPL3.29 as well.

In a few minutes I would be heading out for a few hours but this one is a must report kind of thing so I though I would do it before I go.
During the past month or so I have tried many ROMs from different Chefs and I in my personal opinion the battery consumption on TPC Extreme Loaded V6 is the best I have seen so far. For 25 minutes of normal use like checking messages and weather etc and installing a CAB (no phone calls) the battery dropped only 4% from 99% to 95%. In other ROMs average drop for this period of time of use would be any between 10% and 15%. So great work TPC
I have been on this ROM since last evening and had put it through some hard testing, however I have not found one single problem and only one omission (FTP tab in bluetooth settings missing). The response time is very good and it gives you 65% of available program memory after a fresh boot (softreset) and I have not seen it going below 50%, which is indeed very good. Toady I will also be testing a new app for me “Sportypal” (distance, speed and calorie counter with GPS assistance) and see how it goes.

check your radio....you need to have one 1.65 and up try different ones to see which work best for you.

In V5 version, under Navigation you had Google Maps GPS Test GPS Tool, QucikGPS, and one other software.

In V6 version, you do not have the fifth one. you think you can upload the cab for that software. I think it call ephei something. It updates every 3 days.

Try a soft reset, it is not happening on my phone, so it is not the rom, If it keeps happening try a hard reset or reflash.

It also could a software conflict, if you have added any apps since flashing, it could be one of those.

I've already played with the advanced config - phone - 3G prefix in operator name (disabled) & 3G prefix text (empty)..non of these work...

Are you using a different theme ? There is an inherent quirk with M2D, that one of the slider icons has to be greyed. Otherwise the SMS' in the message tab do not appear. Some have solved it by moving the message tab to the end of the slider.

It was a while ago, last fall when people were having trouble with themes this way, I will try to find the posts.

tried doing both hard and soft reset but it didnt work...few things i notice

1) after doing a soft reset, the latest sms will be previewed on the message tab as 1/26. But if I was to receive another new sms, the previous previewed sms will jump to 13/26....funny

I didnt do any changes to the settings..even did a hard reset to be sure...

i need more info before i can help you....check your spl, radio and see what they are. i use ones in my sig and i know they work well together, so if you arent using spl 3.29 or 3.34 you need to try that. also flash a stock rom before flashing my rom again that may help as well. let me know how it turns out.

i plan on udating this rom...but need some help from microsoft lol. i want to use new builds but not sure how many more will be coming for 6.1 :confused: as soon as one hits the ground ill update the rom.

I heard talk that with the super ram hack the device has some type of graphic lag issues. Is this confirmed? Is that why Abu in v7 quit using the super ram hack? I love the style of this rom! Great Job! Only thing that I noticed is that when using opera mini and Pie scroling seems to be sluggish.

Opera Mini is the Java version i changed mine and am using 20081113.2.1 only prob is it's VGA but i always use Mini in small text anyway.
PIE is always slow :D
To be honest i don't think that the S/R/H has any detremental effect on graphics... "Just seems to be many different issues chefs have had to overcome to perfect it"

tpc, this is the best rom i've used so far. i've got an unlocked tilt and i'm using tmobile usa, and i plan on keeping this rom--solid work!

my BIG problem is the battery life--it just dies so fast! i saw that you mentioned the 1.65.X and higher radios are recommended, but will it cause any problems since i'm on tmobile and not at&t? currently i'm using 1.70.19.09 and like i said the battery goes from 100% to 85% after one phone call. do you think it's teh radio, as all else (minus camera) functions fine.

and a minor problem i'm having is with the camera--when i view the pictures they just aren't crisp.

otherwise, works great and is a keeper. really appreciate everyone's input for my problems. thanks!

I have no battery life problems or camera clarity issues. Different radios can cause camera clarity problems as well. I suggest you try different radio versions. Radios are not down to a science. What works for some doesnt always work for others.

Edit: Also thought i might add that different SPL versions work better with different radios. The hard part is finding the perfect combination through trial and error. Read some sigs in the threads to see what others are using. this might start you off in the right dirction more easily.

TPC... great job on this rom! I have had it for about 3 weeks and really like it. I am planning to flash another one, but I would like to keep a few things from this one. Could you post the .cab files for the icons, battery meter icon, your M2D theme with a list of font settings, and the circulating wait icon? I really like these and would greatly appreciate them to use in the next rom I flash. Thanks.

No you will not have to re-flash your rom again weather it be a SPL or Radio upgrade will not change anything on your rom. However it is always a good idea to backup your data when changing anything.
You could look at one of joshkoss threads and see if he shows what radio and spl he uses in his sig, or drop him a pm. I am pretty shure he uses Tmobile over on the east coast.

no sorry, i am actually not going to do anymore 6.1 roms :( well i take that back...i may do one later with new system we are working on but for now 6.1 dev is on hold. in next few weeks there will be something new that will make things alot better for everyone will just have to hold on a lil longer :D

Love the ROM first off. The only issue I am running into is with WMP. I have extreme_v6, radio 1.70.19.09. Tried streaming a station from mobile stream center, a link specific for PDAs... The stream starts and runs for about 10 seconds, then stops and WMP closes.

Intial ROM is WMP10, problem occured there, so I tried WMP11 and get the same issue. Any suggestions?

I searched the threads and haven't found any discussions of this issue.

Guess we'll have to wait and find out what you have in store for us for WM6.1.. I'm not really a fan of 6.5. I like this ROM thus far just seems to drain the battery out pretty quick.. Otherwise no issues.

nice rom i can say it is the best rom i have use until now but i have 2 qustion

1- is there away to make the font bigger on the start menue screen

2- i have spbtv and it dosnt work after 2 second the tv dissconcted and i cant see it in task manger too

Twopumpchump, Thank you very much, this is the best/most complete rom I've flashed. I've had zero issues other than the advanced config icon, which was an easy fix. I appreciate all of the hard work, and come payday I will be donating.

[EDIT] Also had to flash to hard SPL 3.56 because the GPS sucked with 3.29 for some reason. This is not just a problem with this rom, but with all wm6.1 roms.

sorry naked is NAKED meaning it has nothing besides the basics :)

Just turn it off in Settings > personal > today > items. Them you will have everything in V6 except M2D

Sorry i don't have link, but the chances of a virus is null, if you want to restore back to default do a hard-reset.

That's what a hard - reset does puts the phone back to the position @ start.

The chances are you have a hardware error if this has happened multiple times after flashin.

I cant do the hard reset because the softy keys are not working, what if there is an hardware error can i fix that? and thanks for your kindly answers

Another way to hard reset is to go: start\settings & systems tab then go to "Clear Storage" type in "1234" ofcourse without the quotes.

I did it alrady like 5 or 6 times but nothing changes :S that is nothing . just start the rom from beginin. because i changed the rom of my htc now i am having problems

Thats what a hard reset does "just start the rom from beginin" cause once you change the ROM the only way to go back to the original ROM is to flash it again ie: if you have the installation files.

I Suppose when you changed the ROM from an HTC to a cooked ROM you followed all the instructions like changing the Hard SPL and Radio first as you have not mentioned what SPL and Radio you are using. Just in case you have not followed the instruction or would like to go back to an HTC ROM I would suggest to follow the instruction on post #4, of this Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=519715
This link is from the same great chef (TPC) WM6.5 ROM and not matter which ROM you are flashing those FAQs like a guiding light and you will also find a link for an HTC (stock) ROM of WM6.1

If you follow those instructions I believe you should ok, barring any real hardware problem. Just flashing ROMs will not fix any broken hardware. Hope this helps :)
