So first I'm aware of Slingbox, and I just don't travel enough to make it worth my while.
However, if I can put sweat equity into making something work in a creative way then I'd love to try it.
I have a dual tuner DVR from Wave Broadband, which I expect is very similar to many DVR's out there in use by cable providers.
So my question is this... I know it has a hard drive, and it has an ethernet out. Has anyone ever wired their DVR into their network, and then gained access to the programs on said network? This way you can tap into it from your phone when you're on lunch and bored? Watch a show?
I know it's 99% dependant on the software and access of the DVR, but I'm hoping someone figured out a way to do it.
Thanks,
