Cheers at all...

I have a HTC p4350. In most of cases, it's a very good smartphone, but I have the official HTC firmware to WM6 and I have lot of issues. The more frustating issue is the Internet Connection Sharing. My device WON'T WORK WELL sharing the internet to my pc's. Even when I try to share the internet I have problems: disconnections, slow navigation, etc.

Now I'll try to upgrade the firmware using the PDAVIET firmware in this site, but I have a great problem: I LOOSE the Original USB cable that connect my PDA to PC and any another cable that I try to use to connect, the system hangs a error "USB Device not recognized".

The ActiveSync works via bluetooth.

My question is: it's possible upgrade the PDA's firmware using the Bluetooth connection via ActiveSync or not? If it's possible, how I can do it?

Sorry my poor english and thanks for any help.

You have to have a phone with HardSPL on it before you can flash through SD.
You'll need a cable. Most digital cameras, most... well... everything portable USB uses the same cable.

Most usb cables are capable of connecting a phone or external hd. The thin ones don't have the transfer rate needed to support powering a device and transferring data. Try looking for a thick usb like the one that comes with the ps3 to charge and sync the controllers.

Really, I try to insert another cables into the phone and pc. No one has worked.

The pin layout to the most of cables is (ascii art) \_/ and my P4350 have the |_/ layout. No one tested cable has worked, and all the cables, connected in another devices works perfectly (including the switch between cables and devices).

Cheers at all. I'll try with HardSPL

It will work fine if inserted the correct way. The |_/ connector is the same as the \_/ connector but with some extra pins added for audio, but trust me, any mini-b (\_/) connector works with it.

Oh, no way, Ivan.

"USB device not recognized". I believe that the mini-usb on cellphone is the problem, not the cable.

Well... Now I search on forum to find the steps to use the flashcard to upgrade firmware. I need much luck to these!

Thanks a lot for all help! :)

The mini-usb is broken? That sucks majorly...
As far as flashing from an SD card, it would only work if you have your phone already HardSPL. Just rename the file HERAIMG.nbh.

I just gave them to you. :p
Your phone has to be hardspl unless you only want to use official ROMs only. Just name the nbh to HERAIMG.nbh and then place it in the root directory of your SD card. Hold your camera button and press the soft reset. Then follow the instructions on the screen.

My mini-USB port is also broken on my TMO Wing. Same thing "USB Not Recognized" error when connected with any cable. Luckily whatever pin broke did not affect the power or I would not be able to charge.

Back on topic, Challado, your first post makes it sound like you have only the official ROMs now, and you want to flash to the custom ROM "PDAVIET firmware". Listen to Ivan on this, you can't flash via the SD Card to a custom ROM unless you have done a process called "Hard SPL" to your phone, which unfortunately DOES need the cable.

My USB port broke after I already performed the HARD SPL, so I have reflashed many times via SD Card since.

So, bottom line.... You cant reflash over BlueTooth, and without HARD SPL, you cant flash the firmware with an SD Card, the only alternative without an USB cable.

Did you try re-installing ActiveSync? Even if the bluetooth option for flashing did work, it will take a very long time for the process to finish. If you ever transfers files via bluetooth to your phone, you will notice the major speed difference and time factor against a usb cable. The fastest way to flash is via SD card. You are better off HardSPL your device like Ivan recommended. This method is reversible. What I don't get is how do you charge your phone if your mini-usb is broken?
