This must be a hardware issue at this point... *228 opt 1, soft reset, hard reset, switch back to VZW ROM, completely disassembled phone and made sure all connections are secure. The speaker itself is soldered in but I had read other models have dry connections that can come loose after a drop. I think I did drop my phone before the speaker stopped working. Speakerphone speaker still works. LEDs still work.
Before I spend the $50 to get a replacement (please don't discuss what comes from insurance these days... plenty of other threads on it) I thought I'd ask if anyone had a similar issue and had fixed it. There are other threads with the same/similar issue but there was never a solution other than replacement. Before I send it in I will try to test whether the speaker failed or if the audio signal is not getting to the speaker. In case it is the speaker, does anyone know a source for a replacement? I see them for other phones but none for the 6800.
BTW... in case there is a trend, I was on R4R Beta 4 and had not done anything with the audiopara.csv.
