Hi, I was just given a Toshiba e350 (It was going to be binned ), and i'm pretty sure it can't be upgraded beyond WM2003 (due to the small ROM size). Anyway here are the specs:
*300MHz PXA255
*64MB RAM
*16MB ROM
*Some kinda graphics accelerator (unsupported by most software)
*Windows mobile 2003 (not SE)

I want to implement this as an in car media player with a 200GB external hard drive through USB host (which is supported by the device).

The problem however is that media player 9 is not a great peice of software, and doesn't support a library.

Reading on xda-devs shows that most people use tcpmp, but I really can't live without a Library function, and large skip buttons are fairly important.

I have tried pocket player, but the startup time is too long (even on my 8GB card in my Exec, so it will be far slower on a usb1.1 200GB hdd on a 300MHZ cpu). This is too long for car use, as I can't opperate a pocketpc while driving, and I'd have to sit there waiting for it to load the library before I start driving (which it does at startup). Also, I'm unsure as to whether pocket player supports wm2003.

So here is the question: What media player software can I use to replace media player 9 which supports a library being STORED, not made up on load, as 200GB is a large ammount to have load (although only about 14GB of this will be music). Can I install a new version of media player (such as 10 or 11)? Can I set pocket player to store it's library (if i can get it to run on WM2003)?

Thanks in advance for your wisdom.

GS Player can store a list, plus it's free. I ain't sure if it's compatible though.

Thanks, I tried GSplayer, but it doesn't provide a library, only playlists (much like media player 9).
